Our old Potterton boiler was replaced with a Worcester Bosch boiler. We needed a speedy replacement as the old one was not working after a service by a different plumber. Job was carried out very quickly which was marvellous. The new boiler is working well. Installation was carried out without any fuss or bother, all very tidy and efficient. A pleasure to have Marcus here again. As I did not seek a competitive quote my 5 star value rating is guesswork!

Very efficient service from making the appointment to being sent the service certificate. Chris called ahead, he put protective covering down, he worked diligently. He then explained what he had done. Will use this company now for our annual gas fire service.

Markus arrived with a new ceramic cistern and had it fitted and working in about 2/3 hours. A clean and tidy job with some new piping and no problems. He was in no rush and made sure everything was good and working before he left, taking the very old plastic cistern with him. Fitted new taps in kitchen and bathroom last year, great job all around. The whole team are helpful and friendly.

I thought that we might have a slight gas leak from our meter so I called in Cadent. They did a gas tightness test and found that there was a pressure drop of only 1 Mbar - but they disconnected our supply! It turned out that our old internal pipework had corroded resulting in a very slight leak. I contacted Terry and he arranged for Marcus and Chris to come around the same evening to assess the situation. Marcus then came back the next day and installed a completely new gas run to our boiler and hob. A perfect job completed very neatly and quickly and the kitchen tidied up afterwards - and all for a very reasonable charge. All sorted in just over 24 hours. Brilliant!

We were extremely anxious about changing our 24-year-old boiler. Having searched far and wide. We chose The Gas-Shop. An accurate survey, the only people who listened to what we wanted and did all they could to minimise disruption and provide us with a superb replacement Vaillant ecoTEC VUW condensing boiler. The Gas Shop installed a toilet and basin in a bedroom. Marcus did an excellent job to a high standard. Nothing was too much bother for him. A new room had to be built and Terry arranged for other trade people to do this. Very pleased with the result. Would recommend

I had a problem with water pressure in my house and Terry & his team from The Gas Shop were very methodical in tracking down the problem and doing the appropriate work to remedy the situation. They turned up when they said they would and kept me informed throughout as to what was going on. Terry phoned a few days later to check that the water pressure had been maintained. I've just had two gas fires serviced which I originally bought from the Gas Shop. I have used them for some years now as I know I can trust their staff arriving on time, doing a great job and making sure everything is left clean and tidy. I have been using the Gas Shop for many years now for various jobs I have had two fireplaces and fires fitted and had regular service visits. I have always found Terry and his son Chris to be extremely knowledgeable and honest with their advice. We have just had a remote controlled gas fire fitted in my 89 year old mother in laws house as she was having trouble getting down to light the fire. The original fire was installed many years ago and was not a standard size backbox. We thought that the fire was going to have to stay and my mother in law would have to use just the central heating so I called Terry to ask his advice. Terry came around to take a look, measured the fire then phoned one of his suppliers who said they would custom build a fire to fit. The fire is lovely and my mother in law is extremely happy. I would like to thank everyone at the Gas Shop for making this possible.

Everything about the installation of my gas fire went smoothly and efficiently. The service in the showroom was knowledgeable and friendly. The engineer who came round to advise us could talk us through the details of the fire and the process of installation. The fitters themselves were careful, friendly and respectful. We have used The Gas Shop for many years. They repaired our heating after we had used a cowboy plumber, and have done regular servicing plus additional work ever since. Our hot water stopped working and the engineer was here the next day - no emergency call out charge - replaced the faulty part and got the whole thing working again very quickly. Their professionalism and quality of work is amazing.

I fully agree with the other comments on this page. After a British Gas engineer declared my previous gas fire beyond economical repair, Terry and The Gas Shop quickly removed it and installed a new fire, which fits much better with the decor of my living room. Fully recommended.
