Hi there, my name is Chris, The Handy Carpenter, and I specialise in bespoke storage solutions especially alcove cabinets, fitted wardrobes and floating shelves.

I pride myself on my customer service and interpersonal skills, I am a trustworthy individual who gets satisfaction in transforming people's homes. Following ten years in the engineering industry and a First Class Degree from the University of Staffordshire, I decided to utilise my account management skills gained working within the engineering sector to start my own business.

I pride myself on quality craftsmanship, an eye for detail, and design whilst providing a friendly and reliable service.

My service areas include Bromley, Beckenham, Croydon, Crystal Palace, Dulwich, Streatham, Orpington, and Wimbledon.

We had Chris in to complete a set of shutters and blinds in separate rooms. Couldn't be more pleased with the results. Chris was great with communicating beforehand in helping choose the right look for each room, completing the rooms with an excellent finish, very tidy, efficient and professional. We will definitely be using Chris again in the near future.

Chris was asked to build and install pull out cupboards under our stairs, prior to his arrival he sent detailed CAD drawings for approval which meant I had a good ide of exactly what I was going to get. On the agreed day, Chris arrived on time and got on with the job in a professional, courteous and tidy manner...all of which are important to me as a client. The finished job has exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend Chris for any carpentry job you are unable to tackle yourself. 10 out of 10.

Chris designed and built custom replacement wardrobe doors and new shelves for an existing fitted wardrobe. He thought carefully about the design and managed to fit the doors round existing pipework. Chris communicated well and was easy to work with. We are very happy with the finished doors and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris or work with him again.

Chris installed some skirting boards in one of my bedrooms and repaired all the windows in my house. Both jobs were completed within the time he allotted and to a very high standard. His work is very neat tidy and Chris was very polite and courteous at all times. I would thoroughly recommend Chris and his workmanship to anyone looking for a professional carpenter.

The Handy Carpenter installed some shelves and a boiler cupboard in our kitchen. Chris was very professional, gave a quote with a couple of options on the finish and booked in the work. He arrived on time and completed on time. The work was exactly what we asked for, and he handled the strange angles in our house with ease. Chris was very tidy and cleared up at the end of both days. Highly recommended!
