About

The Loft Man is a family run business which prides itself on providing an excellent service to each and every customer.
We provide a complete loft storage solution service, including boarding, ladder and hatch installation.
Our boarding service is unique in that it provides a strong cradle support for the boarding, ensuring that weight is distributed over multiple joists. Construction grade timbers are used to raise the joists above insulation, creating a strong platform while allowing free movement of air below the boarding. All boarding is P5, treated to resist moisture penetration, measuring 2400mm by 600mm. Each interlocking and screwed allowing easy removal and replacement if required.
A Selection of loft ladders to suit most properties. These range from two and three section aluminium ladders to fully integrated wooden ladders with spring assisted mechanism for easy operation.
Bespoke wooden and modern PVC hatches are available to suit most properties, along with top up insulation if required.

It can be difficult these days to find someone you can trust to come into your home and carry out work. The "Which Trusted Trader" service is a great scheme which I will certainly use again. This is where we found Simon who did a first class job of boarding, insulating and fitting a loft ladder in our loft. I can't speak highly enough of Simon's professionalism,efficiency and courtesy. He is clearly an expert on anything loft related and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Thank you Simon.

Simon installed new insulation, boarding and a loft ladder and hatch (Nine Elms). Excellent workmanship. Left him to it for first two days and one would not have known he had been in the house as not a speck of dust or rubbish anywhere. Job took a bit longer than usual due to unexpected mini heatwave and who would want to work in a roof with no air at those temperatures. Overall extremely happy with finished job and overall price - would thoroughly recommend him Paul B

The whole process, from arranging the quote to organising payment, was organised efficiently and carried out to the highest standard. Simon responded to my phone enquiry by quickly fixing an appointment to view the work, discussing options fully and following up efficiently with a written quotation. The job (installing a bespoke loft hatch and loft ladder) was carried out with great care and consideration. The floor was well-protected and no marks whatsoever were made on walls or paintwork. Simon's level of attention to detail and craftsmanship was excellent. I have had a lot of work done on my property over the past year and, of all the tradespeople this has involved, there is no question that Simon stands out for his reliability, approachability and quality of work. If I needed work done in the future, I would not hesitate to contact him.

I asked Simon to provide a quote after I had reviewed the Which Local listings for carpenters. I needed several door frames corrected, my loft insulation topped-up and part of the loft area re-boarded. He immediately understood the work involved and his quotations were acceptable. I found Simon to be a most considerate and conscientious worker and professional throughout. The jobs took than a week to complete and Simon's manner meant that we were more than happy to have him working in our house. His work was expertly performed with attention to detail. I am happy to recommend him.
