The engineer was running late, but I was telephoned by the office to let me know that this was the case. The engineer was very friendly and efficient. It was only a filter change that we were having done. Have now had the drinking water system for a few years and are generally very happy with it, although it is expensive.

Ordered a new water treatment system after our old one was declared u/s. Engineer came and fitted new, even though connectors were different and machine size smaller. He was here from 1.30pm until about 7.15pm - using torch light when it got dark to ensure system in working order before he left. Unit is outside and it was a cold wet day. Very polite man.

The Aquatec engineer did the annual servicing of our Aquatec filter. He was most punctual, engaging me throughout his working on the filter. I have busy hours as a Pharmacist and I appreciate the fact that Aquatec had to chase me (in numerous telephone calls and e-mail) to set up todays appointment. The Engineer arrived at promptly 8:50am and left at 9:35am after full completion of work. Everything was checked thoroughly. The filters in the reverse Osmosis unit were replaced. We had all three filters replaced this time. The service engineer carefully showed us how we could change the filters ourselves but we know we would never have managed it as they were very tightly fitted. We will endeavour to do it ourselves next year. The engineer was very thorough and phoned office, colleague for confirmation of some things he was unsure of. We are pleased with quality of water and lack of lime scale build up but find it expensive, on going.

The water softeners supplied by Aquatec are just brilliant. We have had one for 6 years now and all our machines are better for it. Kettle looks like it did on the day I bought it. We use less detergent (one bottle of washing-liquid lasts an exceedingly long time), dishwasher needs no salt and cleaning with it means no water marks left behind. Aquatec installed our water softener and filtration plant in 1998 and have maintained it ever since. When we moved here from Bristol they moved it for us and reinstalled it at this address. We have a maintenance contracted (funded monthly) with them which also covers spares, through some 'consumables' like carton fillers and reserve osmosis membranes cost extra. Basic fillers come as part of the package. We did have to upgrade our obsolete R.O unit when it failed and there was a charge for that.

The water treatment work is brilliant but not what you want on the front of the house. Mike walked through the options on where and how it could be sited. It needed new internal pipes, hidden behind existing ones. New underground pipes, additional resources, time and people all provided without complaint. Aquatec is a company which offers soft water installations, especially useful if you live in a hard water area. Water then supplied to the house is soft and pure. My daughter, who suffers (used to suffer) with Eczema, now no longer has a skin problem. The softened water is kind to sensitive skin. I absolutely love the system, and it's worth it's weight in gold. Bathing is wonderful. Showering is wonderful. Using less products because the water is so wonderfully soft. every annual check is done to a fabulous and friendly standard. Five out of five all the way!
