As specialists in damp proofing, and timber treatments we work with residential and commercial customers across the UK as well as providing pre-purchase damp and timber surveys for home buyers.

Steven Buick and team at Timberwise Scotland are fantastic! I contacted Timberwise and within 5days my property and wet rot problem was survey and fixed. Structural floor joists were affected by wet rot, which required to be sistered with new bespoke sized joists and treated. The work was carried out safely, tidily, and to a very high professional standard by Alan and Stuart. Shortly after I received my guarantee of 20years for the work carried out. This is my second time using Steven and the team and Timberwise Scotland, and therefore recommend them at the highest level to carry out timber treatment work at any property.

In particular: - good coordination between colleagues (office staff, surveyor, technicians) - good customer care - clear documentation - prompt responses to emails - turned up on time - project finished on time We found Timberwise through Which Trusted Traders, as we had suspected dry rot. From our initial online request for a survey, to Ian’s thorough survey and report, the clear quote, coordination on dates, right through to the rot treatment and works we felt we were receiving a good service. It was good to have Ian visit again at the start of works and to run through all our questions and concerns with us. The technicians, Andy and then Chris, were very hard-working and explained what they were doing at each stage, which we appreciated. The new floorboards, plaster and skirting (including a curved section) are looking good. Thanks to all at Timberwise.

We had a concern about damp in a basement flat hallway cupboard. A visit was arranged for a free survey to see if remedial work would be needed. Dan arrived a little early which was great and advised that there was no evidence of water penetration and that the issue was one of condensation caused by cold walls and lack of ventilation. It was really helpful to have our minds set at rest and we can deal with the situation without the fear that there may be a serious damp problem. The service was prompt and professional. Thanks to Karolyn and Dan for their help.

Great service and very professional.
After months of worrying about water under my newly bought property I decided to have a survey done by Timberwise to see how bad the situation was. The surveyor Carla Gonen was excellent. Carla was thorough, and after inspecting the property was able to confirm I did not need any work to be done, and everything was at it should be. Carla was professional and listened to my many concerns, and with her knowledge was able to explain her findings with photos and a report. My only regret was if I had used Timberwise when purchasing the property I would have saved myself a lot of time and worry. I recommend Timberwise, it is a trustworthy company and I'm so glad I found it.

Very pleased with whole experience with Timberwise. Prompt appointment. Very impressed with our surveyor Carla Gonen; she was friendly, understanding of my concerns, extremely knowledgeable, professional and a lovely person who put us at ease , reassured and explained many things around my concerns. Living in a 300 year old farmhouse with lots of original timbers, we were very pleased and reassured that concerns were unfounded. Although no work is currently needed, should we ever have any concerns or problems with timber, pests, or damp, we would go straight to Timberwise. 100% recommend.

We were extremely pleased with the quality and standard of work carried out on our property. Stuart and Adrian were polite, respectful and kept us updated each day on their progress and nothing was too much trouble. They were punctual each day and always cleared up at the end of each day. Following my survey I used Timberwise for some recommended works. From telephoning, during covid through to inspection by Dean and works carried out by Chris, everything ran perfectly smooth. All persons I spoke to went over and above. Dean came out for further inspection, me thinking I had additional concerns. Nothing was too much trouble. Chris carried out the works with the least possible upheaval and cleared/cleaned where possible at the end. Chris even helped me locate a leak from my boiler - thank you. Thank you for a brilliant service would definitely recommend.

Telephone assistance was helpful in explaining what I needed d and how things worked. Person who visited to see the work required was obviously very knowledgeable and interested in older buildings which was terrific as ours is Grade 2 listed. The man who delivered the service was polite, very helpful and thoughtful in the way he worked. Excellent service throughout.
