Used Timberwise on recommendation from homebuyers, we found them easy to contact and with a friendly call handler who was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the process was explained in detail. Anouska really put our minds at rest and had a friendly manner when contacted. Booking the work was at our convenience, and the tradesman's name was given to us in advance so we knew who was to attend. On the allotted day Timberwise turned up well within the suggested timeframe, and he introduced himself as Daniel, and what a pleasant young man, couldn’t fault his attention to detail and took the time to explain to us the process and time to complete the work. We would recommend this company.

Matt and Matty. We needed a complete new floor in our bedroom and half a new floor in the kitchen due to damp and lack of airflow under the bungalow. To us, the work seemed immense, but in 3 days, the work was finished. New joists, flooring, and air bricks! The lads were on time, tidy, and very professional. They definitely have our sincere thanks for all their hard work. I will also thank surveyor Steve, who also made the whole experience go a lot easier for us. Thank you all, we really appreciate it.

I used Timberwise owing to their Which accreditation and good reviews. I had some woodworm in the garage and following a detailed and helpful survey report, I accepted their quotation. Their woodworm treatment was carried out rigorously and supported by an extensive underwritten guarantee. Although not the cheapest quote, I felt that Timberwise provided a better quality quote and service, in contrast to other contractor's, one of whom even charged a fee for a less convincing report.

The damp issue we had originally quoted for was far worse than initially anticipated, following a full site investigation. This seemed like the end of the world but Timberwise took the time to evaluate and adapt the scope of work to cover what was required to solve the issue (touch wood). We appreciated their attention to detail, communication and team work. Ashley George, the Timberwise rep arrived on time & was very professional during his survey. He was able to confirm the cause of the problem & discussed various measures we could take to remove the condensation without undergoing expensive & disruptive works. He was able to advise on what equipment we needed & how to manage issues such as humidity & air ventilation. All in all, we were very impressed with the service provided.

We needed a basement kitchen and dining area damp-proofed. Of all the companies we contacted, Timberwise stood out - Keith and Connie were highly responsive to a large number of follow-up questions, detailed in their plans, and pragmatic in their proposals (their costs were broadly in line with the other providers). Onsite, Chris was great - helped us prep the space, turned up every day on time and cleaned up at the end of the day, went the extra mile to finish by the date we'd agreed when our walls turned out to be at the more challenging end of the spectrum, and was cheerful throughout. They also organised a specialist joiner to deal with our stairs and he not only did a great job with them, but also happily replaced some floorboards that turned out to be rotten. All in all, a very positive experience and we will be getting them back to do more work.

Timberwise recently completed damp proof treatment to a section of our hall wall. I was apprehensive about the potential mess and damage to our newly polished wood floor. I needn’t have worried as Steve immediately reassured me. The floor had a robust and full covering preventing any damage and the work was carried out in the outlined timescale. The area was kept tidy and left clean at the end of each day. Steve was very respectful of our home. He took great care in removing the skirting board in one piece and the completed job is very neat. Overall I’m delighted with the work.

We had a concern about damp in a basement flat hallway cupboard. A visit was arranged for a free survey to see if remedial work would be needed. Dan arrived a little early which was great and advised that there was no evidence of water penetration and that the issue was one of condensation caused by cold walls and lack of ventilation. It was really helpful to have our minds set at rest and we can deal with the situation without the fear that there may be a serious damp problem. The service was prompt and professional. In particular: - good coordination between colleagues (office staff, surveyor, technicians) - good customer care - clear documentation - prompt responses to emails - turned up on time - project finished on time We found Timberwise through Which Trusted Traders, as we had suspected dry rot. From our initial online request for a survey, to Ian’s thorough survey and report, the clear quote, coordination on dates, right through to the rot treatment and works we felt we were receiving a good service. It was good to have Ian visit again at the start of works and to run through all our questions and concerns with us. The technicians, Andy and then Chris, were very hard-working and explained what they were doing at each stage, which we appreciated. The new floorboards, plaster and skirting (including a curved section) are looking good. Thanks to all at Timberwise.

Steven Buick and team at Timberwise Scotland are fantastic! I contacted Timberwise and within 5days my property and wet rot problem was survey and fixed. Structural floor joists were affected by wet rot, which required to be sistered with new bespoke sized joists and treated. The work was carried out safely, tidily, and to a very high professional standard by Alan and Stuart. Shortly after I received my guarantee of 20years for the work carried out. This is my second time using Steven and the team and Timberwise Scotland, and therefore recommend them at the highest level to carry out timber treatment work at any property.

After months of worrying about water under my newly bought property I decided to have a survey done by Timberwise to see how bad the situation was. The surveyor Carla Gonen was excellent. Carla was thorough, and after inspecting the property was able to confirm I did not need any work to be done, and everything was at it should be. Carla was professional and listened to my many concerns, and with her knowledge was able to explain her findings with photos and a report. My only regret was if I had used Timberwise when purchasing the property I would have saved myself a lot of time and worry. I recommend Timberwise, it is a trustworthy company and I'm so glad I found it.
