Tincknell Heating

Tincknells Heating engineer Keith Davey had visited previously as we had had problems with our oil heating system and he had recommended following up with alterations to our header tank pipework to correct things that were wrong. We were given a quotation and a date and time for the work to be carried out. Keith and apprentice engineer Harry Peters came on time on the appointed day and carried out the necessary procedures professionally and tidily and with minimal disruption to ourselves. They were both an absolute pleasure to deal with and we are delighted to have had this work done completely stress-free ! Thank you also to Nick Turner, Installation and Parts Manager for co-ordinating the project. We can say confidently that Tincknell Heating is an efficient, well-organised company that we would have no hesitation in recommending to prospective customers. Keith and Harry are a credit to themselves and to Tincknells !

Have nothing but praise for this company. From start to finish they have been helpful, informative and completely professional. We required a complete heating system refit and conversion from electric to oil which meant moving out for 5 days. This is quite an upheaval for anyone but very traumatic for my mother who is 81. However, this company carried out pre-visits explained the whole process, their requirements prior to work starting, kept to time schedule and left the property clean and tidy. Honesty, you would not have know they had been there apart from the fact that the house was warm and there was a lovely bunch of flowers to boot. I cannot fault this companies workers or their work ethics and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Over three days, Ollie and Jamie installed a replacement boiler and hot water tank in our house, with associated flue, controls, connections and a chemical flush, a major renewal of our heating system. This was all completed to our satisfaction, to the agreed schedule and budget. They completed the work on time, with minimal disruption and were a pleasure to have on site. They were communicative, polite, tidy and were knowledgeable about what they were doing and kept us informed of progress. From the first survey by James C, through the provision of a professional report and quote, to completion of the work by Ollie and Jamie, Tincknells have lived up to the reports that we had of them, in being good value, attentive to their customers and providing a first class result. We would recommend them to others seeking such a service.

Although as heating engineers they were unable to deal with my particular problem, Nick, who answered the phone, went out of his way to call me back twice and provide me with suitable choice contacts who would be able to assist me. I will certainly be in contact with them again to service my central heating, when this becomes due.

Very rapid replacement of a weeping metal oil tank. Initial enqirry of a Tuesday, Inspection on the following Friday, and installation of new tank following Tuesday. Very common sense approach to health and safety regulations. Another company gave a quote with many unnecessary requirements not relevant to our rural location at a much inflated price with little attention to the practical details of the job. The Tincknell's installers were being inspected by a Health and Safety consultant which was very informative.

It was a pleasure to have Oliver, Liam and Steve survey our home and upgrade our old internal Worcester boiler to an external one. As a customer of some 20+ years it came as no surprise that the installation team were polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to have them working in our home as they observed the new and ever changing Covid protocols.

As a long standing customer of Tincknells I have no hesitation in giving them top marks. Over the years i have always had excellent service from engineers, fitters and telephone staff . They are always pleasant, polite and helpful. Any work has been problem free and efficiently carried out. I would recommend them to everyone.

When it became evident that the old boiler was on its last legs Tincknells organised a replacement incredibly quickly. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful, and the work was done efficiently and unobtrusively. The two people who installed the boiler gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble and they left everything spotless. We would definitely recommend them.

As ever Tincknell's provided an excellent service. I have had to call on them for various reasons in 2020 and every time they have gone the extra mile to provide the help I needed with oil deliveries, tank replacement etc. All work has been done efficiently and in a very friendly manner. Well done to all Tincknell's staff both in the office and on the road.

Andy arrived on time and worked without interruption until the job was done. He is clearly an expert and we were very happy with his service. I noticed the boiler was running more quietly after he had finished.

We were really impressed with Tincknells in installing our new ooo boiler. They were on time, and completed the job in a thoroughly professional way and took time out to set up/demonstrate the new Nest thermostat system. The team were really helpful from start to finish. They even left a bouquet of flowers! We are delighted with our new boiler - it is more efficient and we’ll also save £17 a month on our boiler/service plan; effectively reducing the cost of the boiler by £1400 over the 7 year guarantee. Highly recommended!

Initially I required somebody to come around and discuss options to decommission a very old and hugely inefficient Stanley range and not only install a new boiler but consider the best location for the new installation. From the initial visit from Tincknell's I was very impressed with professionalism from the office staff through to engineers visit. Their covid procedures were excellent too, not only ensuring my safety but also their staff. During the first visit I felt what I was looking for was completely understood and the options were clearly explained to me. Having accepted the quotation the option of dates was clearly explained and those dates remained on track. As for the installation it was clear the installers Jamie & Lee not only knew what they were doing but took pride in their work too. Any questions I had were clearly explained and at the end of the installation the user controls of the system were clearly explained. Even though the installation required changes to water pipes, oil feed and electricity and the drilling through 2' thick walls everything was left spotless. I would not hesitate to recommend Tincknell's for the installation and would not find any fault with any aspect of the installation.

Tincknells engineer arrived at the booked time, completed the service, left my kitchen (where my boiler is) clean and tidy, and left me with sensible and practical advice on minor maintenance needed to oil tank and flue. Very happy with the service!

During a routine repair of a faulty oil pump in the Oil Boiler it was spotted that there was a small oil leak in the pipe from the oil tank to the oil boiler. A subsequent visit to attempt to replace the 40year old sunken pipe buried under the garden and drive was not successful and "Plan B" was developed to resite a new tank to enable the new pipework to be more conveniently installed above ground from the tank to the boiler. Throughout the investigations and installation work, I was kept fully informed of the work to be done and the cost off this work. The engineers who carried out all the work were competent and friendly and I am delighted with the quality and tidiness of the final solution. I am also confident, having been a customer of Tincknells for many years, that any subsequent follow-up will be attended to in a timely manner.

I have been using Tincknells for several years at my previous property where we had an oil fired central heating system. Tincknells did both the oil deliveries and the maintenance of the boiler and on both counts were always excellent. Consequently, on moving to a house with gas we had them replace an old boiler with a new gas system boiler and install an unvented hot water tank. On both counts they were excellent completing the work on time and always leaving everything nice and clean. Highly recommended!
