Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.
Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

I have recently had a whole complete new heating system installed by Tincknell's, I have to say when I first investigated the cost of the install I thought Tincknell's would have been much higher. Tincknell's pricing is very competitive and was cheaper than some independent installers. The whole process was made easy from start to finish, Nick Turner who is the Installation Manager is great! I think I must have asked him 50 plus questions, 20 plus emails and 10 plus telephone calls. Nothing was ever any trouble! I was lucky enough to have Lee Tidball quote for my work and carry out the install. Again Lee is great and nothing is any trouble! I also have to give credit to the other Engineers, Ollie, Keith and the two apprentices Liam and Harry. The workmanship is 10/10 Time keeping 10/10 Tidiness 10/10 As the install was over three days I have to give them 10/10 for understanding it was a family home. To sum it up top quality service, quality of work and workmanship! I will be using and have already recommended them to friends and family

This whole experience was efficiently managed from both the administration and practical fitting of the boiler. The two engineers were very punctual and very friendly and made every effort to cause as little inconvenience as possible. They cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly even after the first day when they were returning the next day. Pleasant experience all round. Engineers Ollie and Jamie.

Having negligently run out of oil over the weekend, called Tincknell first thing in morning. Tanker diverted, oil tank filled, engineer despatched to re-light boiler - all within a few hours. Delighted with this standard of service.

Replacement boiler from free standing to wall mounted. Keith, the engineer who did the initial survey, was knowledgeable and experienced. He clearly understood the complexity of the task. The quote arrived in a couple of days - the most detailed quote we have ever seen. A slight query - emailed, was answered by phone within 10 minutes. Keith, Lee, Harry were highly skilled. Very efficient and worked hard. Every detail was discussed with us first. No detail was overlooked. We are very pleased with the end result.

I recently needed to have a new boiler installed, which at the time seemed like a major job. However, I need not have worried. Everyone I spoke to at Tincknell’s was polite, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, I was not rushed into making any decisions, and communication to and fro during this time was always reliable and courteous. Once I had made my decisions, my new boiler was fitted promptly and efficiently. The team left my home just as they found it (except a lot warmer!) and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Thank you, Tincknell’s, for a job very well done.
