Old oil tank developed a crack, and a replacement needed. Mike & Gary arrived as arranged and got straight down to work. Work completed efficiently, within agreed estimate, and all done to an amazingly high standard. Old tank taken away and work-site tidied up--all without being asked. Extra time and care given to assess efficiency of fuel line post-installation. Updates to work progress while on-site. Nothing was too much trouble. A pleasure to deal with the installation team--so polite. Office very efficient, too, with arranging appointments and communication in general. Nothing but high praise, and no hesitation in recommending this company.

Keith, Steve and James put me in a new boiler,the new boiler was agreed and on schedule and was all within the budget, the guys were really helpful and communicated with me every step of the way with a great sense of humour and banter between them all I cannot find a fault.

Have known of this firm's work for many years so when needing a quote for a new boiler and associated work, went to them as a comparison, thinking they would probably be too expensive. Actually only £10 more than the 'one man and his dog' locally - and boy was that extra £10 worth it! Came when they said; did exactly what they said; accommodated our wishes and did it all in a friendly and very professional manner. Obviously a very well trained workforce and with excellent back office to support them. No hesitation in recommending them - and loved the flowers guys! A nice extra touch!

Keith and Liam arrived on time with smiles and good humour ready to tackle a problematic old heating system. They worked cleanly and efficiently, despite the freezing temperatures inside and outside the house! Nothing was too difficult and it was a pleasure to listen to their comedic banter all day. They fixed the system and left the house toasty and warm. Very impressed and highly recommend this company.

Our 25 year old oil-fired boiler developed a water leak on 11th May and after contacting Tincknell Heating, an engineer arrived a few hours later. He confirmed what I expected; that the boiler was finally unrepairable. Tincknells then sent one of their installers the following day (12th May) to carry out a survey for a new boiler, emailed a competitive quote the same day, and confirmed that they could install a new oil-fired boiler and balanced flue the following Saturday (16th May). We agreed to the installation and everything was back up and running by 3pm on the Saturday. Considering that this was at the time of a coronavirus pandemic 'lockdown', I consider this level of customer service exceptional. Throughout the 6 day period, Nick Turner, the Installation Manager, kept me fully informed of progress and checked that we were happy with everything after the installation. We have dealt with Tincknells for over 20 years (oil deliveries, boiler servicing, oil tank installation and now a new boiler) and have always found them to be good value for money and provide excellent, prompt and reliable customer service; they have our strongest recommendation.

Due to Covid 19 our regular Aga service date had to be cancelled. However as lockdown eased Tincknells contacted us to rearrange a new service date if we wished to proceed. We were told exactly what to expect and sent a follow up email to confirm the arrangements and requirements. On the day the Engineer arrived at the expected time, carried out the work diligently and explained all that he had done after first establishing whether or not there were any specific issues or problems that we needed him to address. He tided up after himself and ensured that all was in order before leaving the site. Everyone involved in the cancellation, rescheduling and carrying out the Service was professional, courteous, friendly and apologetic for the delay which was clearly unavoidable and beyond the Company's control. Can't fault any aspect.

Our oil boiler was installed and is maintained by tincknell heating. Boiler fitted 4 years ago and regularly serviced,always carried out efficiently clean and tidy.not a single problem todate very pleased with the service they provide, would not hesitate to recommend them.

Lee and Liam did an excellent job. They were very polite, very tidy. They managed to fit some extra radiators for me. Which surprised me with the lock down and managing to get radiators. On Good Friday 10/4/20 I was horrified to find water on my kitchen floor coming from a leak within my gas boiler.having placed buckets under the boiler I rang Tincknell as I had taken out a maintenance contract the previous October.Being a Bank holiday I did not expect the response I received.Within 30mins I was told an engineer would be with by lunchtime.He duly arrived & stripped the boiler to identify the problem,which was a faulty that needed replacing He made the boiler safe but we had no hot water.Later that day he rang to say he had got the part & would be with us the following morning at 9.He duly arrived & fitted the part.I was amazed that this problem had been solved so quickly on a Bank holiday weekend & during the Coronavirus lockdown & therefore highly recommend them.

The Tincknell engineer arrived on time and carried out a thorough service; he was helpful and friendly. Excellent service and I will use Tincknells again.

After moving into our new home in early January, we discovered an existing issue with our oil tank which prevented oil delivery. The response to our issue from Tincknells was nothing short of incredible. The support, communication, level of service and general guidance through being new to oil was second to none and without their help and support the initial stress and challenge would of felt much worse. They supported our resolution quickly, pulling out all the stops to support me and my family for which I'm massively grateful and appreciative. The team from Nick and Neil, the installers and the drivers have been 1st class throughout and an absolute to credit to their business. I'll be using Nick, Neil and the team ongoing now and would recommend them without hesitation.

Arrived on time, full service carried out without any interruptions or questions to us. Everything left neat and tidy (as it was before he started) and boiler running well. As usual excellent service.

We have used Tincknell's for the past twenty years to service our ancient oil-fired AGA and our oil-fired boiler. We have also had them replace a radiator and install a new oil tank. Although they quoted for a new boiler, when the old one reached the end of its life, we chose a cheaper quote from a sole trader, which was not installed to the same standards Tincknell provides. We regret that. If there is an AGA or boiler breakdown, or post-service glitch, they send someone to fix it promptly. Their engineers are friendly and knowledgeable, and work cleanly and efficiently. They arrive when scheduled and deliver to price quoted. You can speak to a real person when you telephone, not a long recorded message. The person you speak to is always helpful. This local firm delivers reliable and high quality service and a personal touch. Although their rates are not cheap, you pay for quality. They have been in the heating business since 1925 - so they ensure that their engineers know their stuff. Not a cowboy amongst them! We have only once visited the store in Wells, so cannot rate their retail services.

Tincknell Heating were wonderful. They fitted our new gas fire and surround. Right from the start they were professional and helpful in advising as to what suitable gas fires/surrounds etc. would work for us and once we had picked our preference, and a price for the whole job was established, all was ordered and a date was fixed for installation. The day arrived and all went well. Great care was taken throughout the job and once the fire and surround were insitu, a tidy up was undertaken. We really can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience.

From us contacting Tincknells to quote for a replacement boiler to the actual installation it was customer service at its best. Something we have grown not to expect! The quote pack was detailed and comprehensive, the communication with the installation manager to agree dates etc. prompt and clear. The plan was itemised with timings and names of the people I should expect and when....and they did just that. The on-site engineers were respectful of being in our home and very professional - not to mention personable! I am hopeful the boiler will live up to the installation.
