Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.
Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

The service we received from start to finish was excellent, we received a prompt quote and were advised of the date work to be carried out. We were kept informed at all stages, the engineer did a good, clean job and interacted well with the client (my 85 year old mother). As the job was carried out quicker than the estimated time we were advised that the cost would be cheaper than that quoted. Amazing! Well done Tincknell.

Gas boiler broke down on the Sunday. Engineer called on the Monday. We'd had a leak which had ruined the boiler. Quoted a price later that day via email - followed by hard copy the next day. 9am Friday - Ollie & James arrived with the new boiler. By 4pm, boiler fully installed! No mess to clear up. What a fantastic service. Very well done.

Time to replace broken boiler. Contacted Tincknells heating manager on 3/4/2018. On 4/4/2018 engineer arrived, noted our details for replacement boiler. 3 hours later email with quote. Rang and accepted quote. Nick the heating manager rang 1 hour later to see whether his engineers Lee and Ollie could come on Saturday afternoon 7/4/2018 to install new boiler. What service. (We had been without hot water for over 8 days).

Following the fatal breakdown with our old boiler, Tincknells acted promptly & pulled out all the stops to get a new boiler installed. At one time we had 5 engineers working at the same time. Excellent staff both office & field. Will continue to use them from now on. Well done all.
