Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.
Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

The two engineers excelled in every aspect of the installation and testing of the new boiler. At lunch times they even thoughtfully synchronised their lunches with ours and left us a quiet household. Finally we were delightfully surprised when they presented us with the flowers on leaving. Would thoroughly recommend the company to anyone, the staff are highly recommended. Our boiler was fitted by Lee & Keith.

Replacement boiler from free standing to wall mounted. Keith, the engineer who did the initial survey, was knowledgeable and experienced. He clearly understood the complexity of the task. The quote arrived in a couple of days - the most detailed quote we have ever seen. A slight query - emailed, was answered by phone within 10 minutes. Keith, Lee, Harry were highly skilled. Very efficient and worked hard. Every detail was discussed with us first. No detail was overlooked. We are very pleased with the end result.

The smart young men, Keith Davey, Liam Wooley & Liam brown arrived on time & got the job of draining radiators off to a good start. They moved various bits of furniture carefully and did a great job cleaning up when finished. They quietly got on with the different jobs. In all it made for an enjoyable experience. Should we need more radiators fitted in the future (hope not) we'll know where to come.

We contacted Tincknells for advice regarding a noisy condensing oil boiler. Two other engineers had failed to find a solution but Lee came up with the perfect solution within minutes. He refused to accept any payment for this service. We were very impressed with his professional knowledge and manner.

We used Tincknells to install a new boiler and hot water cylinder. Their quotation was competitive with others we received and totally clear as to the product and service they would provide. They arrived exactly when they said they would, were professional, friendly, courteous, tidy and worked late on the Friday evening to complete the job. They obviously knew exactly what they were doing and resolved a couple of minor glitches promptly first thing on Monday morning. We cannot recommend them too highly. We already get our heating oil from them and would not hesitate to use them for any other heating installation.

Our oil tank had a leak. I found it difficult to find a firm to "uplift" the oil out of the tank, replace the tank and refill. Tincknell came to the house inspected the old tank within 2 weeks all work was completed. Very pleased and would recommend to all.

During the three days of our central heating upgrade and new boiler installation. The team of engineers were professional, efficient, polite, and tidy workers, and had all the necessary equipment and materials to complete the works. Time to replace broken boiler. Contacted Tincknells heating manager on 3/4/2018. On 4/4/2018 engineer arrived, noted our details for replacement boiler. 3 hours later email with quote. Rang and accepted quote. Nick the heating manager rang 1 hour later to see whether his engineers Lee and Ollie could come on Saturday afternoon 7/4/2018 to install new boiler. What service. (We had been without hot water for over 8 days).
