Total Removals Limited

We used Total-removals to relocate onto a Tower on the Barbican estate from North London. They were recommended by my estate agent as a company with specialist knowledge of the Barbican. From the moment I spoke to Neil on the phone I know that this company was 100% trustworthy and professional. We had two days of expert, friendly and completely relaxed packing before the move and everyone involved made the experience stress free and efficient. The move was carried out despite a very late completion time and keys not being available until 5.00pm. The team did not leave until 7.00pm on a Friday night, but there was no complaining. Everything arrived in one piece and all dismantled furniture (e.g. beds, study desk, dining table) rebuilt and in place before departure. Like all the other reviews left here we were so impressed and grateful for the fantastic service that we want to let everyone know that this is the company to choose and trust when making a house move (or house clearance) in the London area.

Neil and team were brilliant: friendly, quick, and really careful with everything. They were super accommodating and didn’t complain once, even when some of the bigger items had to be hauled up and down the stairs because they wouldn’t fit in the lift. Made the whole move way less stressful. Highly recommend!

First time using Total Removals was for a move from Central London to Kent. I cannot recommend Neil and his team highly enough. Unlike some competitors, Neil took time to discuss the move in detail (being realistic about time to pack, load and unload). His team were very hard-working and careful with our belongings (no breakages). They took a lot of the stress out of moving day with their positive approach.

We used Total Removals to move us from our flat in London to our new house in Cumbria, with a pause for storage in between. From start to end Neil and his guys were a joy to work with. The guys packing and moving were, without exception, friendly, capable, careful and couldn’t do enough for us. It was so important to us to have someone we felt we could trust having had a bad experience with a different company previously. Neil and the team absolutely fitted the bill. Everything was packed so carefully with real care and attention - we were amazed when we unpacked it all how well it had been done. We would totally recommend using the team. You do pay more than some other companies, but it was very much worth it. Thanks to Neil, Johnny and the team for all the care and hard work. It made our move so much less stressful.

I was arranging a house move for an autistic friend and needed to find a firm that would be sensitive to her needs, her anxiety, her OCD, her awkwardness, random questions and random worries. Neil assessed the situation when he visited and saw that sensitivity would be needed and the team on the day were just fantastic. John, Jeff, Jack and Nigel were beyond good. They were efficient and quiet (yes, quiet, while also getting on with things), They were all friendly, caring and sensitive and worked with and around us and they clearly enjoy working as a team together too. Nothing was too much to ask, no question too silly, no task too much to ask of them. They were so helpful and went the extra mile and more to ensure that my friend (and me) were well taken care of. They made the day easy and actually enjoyable for all of us - not what I'd expected! I could not recommend them highly enough.

I don’t think I’ll ever leave such a glowing review for any other company because Total Removals totally exceeded all my expectations - even though I had read all positive reviews before. Neil was amazing from the start, he was calm and patient while I asked a million and one questions as this was my first move. For him, doing this is an everyday thing but he patiently understood that it’s not for most people and answered all my sometimes OTT questions. Nothing was a problem. It felt like it would be for me but it wasn’t for him. He even found someone to take my bed as it wouldn’t fit in the new place. I went for a half-pack (kitchen only) and move. I had Nigel and Iohnny for two days and they were impeccable, kind, professional and tidy. I have never met two such lovely guys. They wrap everything with precision and care and dismantled anything that needed it. Labelled everything and put everything in the correct room. Imagine moving and there being not an ounce of stress. I never thought it possible until I used Total Removals. I feel like moving simply to give them more custom! Absolutely highly recommend this exceptional company. Worth every penny. I can't praise or recommend Total Removals Limited, highly enough. They provided an absolutely excellent, efficient and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble and they actively sought to ensure that our move was as easy as possible for us.

Neil and his team at Total Removals gave us the best experience at an often stressful and busy time. My inItial contact with Total Removals and Neil was by phone and he was personable, accommodating and understanding. He came to do a site visit to determine access, parking, and see the items to be moved, disposed of, and stored. He offered great advice and guided me on timing and costs. We booked a removals day and prior to this he sent a team of packers to wrap and label the furniture and personal effects for disposal. He organised a local charity to take the saleable items. On the moving day, his team arrived on time and were organised, polite, and professional. Furniture was moved, disposed of, and stored. When the time came to redeliver the furniture from storage we were able to book the day I wanted. Again Neil's team was professional and accommodating, organsied and friendly. They removed a door to allow access, they removed their shoes on request, placed boxes in the rooms I asked, and put together furniture in situ as requested, and unwrapped any furniture I asked for. Nothing was broken in storage, and the boxes and furniture wasn't dusty and was well-cared for. I would use Total Removals again as my go to for all my moving and storage needs. Total Removals offer an excellent removals and storage service. They are extremely responsive, highly flexible, punctual and super friendly. Neil gathered together a highly professional team within 48 hours' notice of our move. The job was done quickly, efficiently and very smoothly. The added bonus is no overburdening paperwork, reasonable prices and amazing flexibility. They even offer a bespoke, personalised touch to smooth the transition and make it easier. Highly recommended for a five-star removal service.

This is the second time we have used Totally Removals. They moved us out of a long-time home into an apartment two years ago and more recently out of our flat in advance of building/refurbishment work. We are older people and each move was potentially stressful, but Total Removals made the experience as calm and harmonious as possible. We used their packing, removal and storage services and all were excellent. Their guys are very experienced. They turn up on time, work hard and know each other well, operating as a well-oiled machine. The fact that the same friendly gang of people worked on both moves (2 years apart) was reassuring. A final plus was that we used their clearance service for items we no longer needed and later heard they all found homes in community projects in North London. To be honest, we received lower quotes for the work we needed to be done, but we wanted a high quality, personal service and that’s exactly what we received. Total Removals is a company you can have confidence in from the first telephone contact onwards through to their aftercare service and we have no hesitation recommending them.

I was quite prepared to contact the removals firm I’d used two years previously for my house move to Enfield in October. They’d been OK. But I found Total via Which? and once I'd met Neil it was a no-brainer. The quality of the whole operation was fabulous. Having someone round to scope the job was the first plus. Last time it was a remote video inspection, but a personal visit inspires confidence. Neil sent the estimate within 24hr. This is not a cut-price operation, but moving house is so full of anxiety-causing moments, it's worth spending up a little to offload stress, and Total will be my go-to firm next time around. Reliability is the baseline for a house move, but beyond that a calm professional team and really good communication throughout made this a stand-out operation. Experience and attention to detail shone through, from knowing what NOT to pack overnight, to finding the right box in the van for something I’d wrongly packed. Unpacking was done at lightning speed and with all due care. Later, the guys collected their boxes as soon as I asked. And I hope they re-used the mountain of packing paper I carefully sent back with them. We had a single breakage, despite extremely careful wrapping, and Neil was very forthcoming in proposing a settlement for this. Honestly I wouldn’t have expected to find this quality of service any more. But I did. Thank you, Total.

I had a 2 part move and Neil and the team were incredible. Part 1, had to pack up and move into storage and a few weeks later move to current location. A really friendly team, took great care with all possessions and no breakages. A really friendly team to work with. Took the stress out of the move. We had a few laughs as the second move was on one of the hottest days of the summer thus far. Would recommend this firm without any hesitations. I had not moved for circa 30 years and they really lived up to my expectations and exceeded them. Each team member was polite, friendly and always respectful and wanting to do the best for me as a customer. They have a great day 2 service post move where they help with unpacking and remove all boxes and packaging material. Whilst it is an extra cost, it is with well worth the money. No boxes and material to get rid of. Having moved on the Friday, I was able to go to work on the Monday and come home to a stress and box free home.

Neil and his team took care of our move recently. We had found them on Which? and they responded very swiftly to my initial query by organising an initial visit. This was followed by two further visits to carry out all necessary packing, so that everything was ready to go on the day of the move. From the outset I was impressed by the attention to detail the team displayed. They understand that moving house can be really stressful, and they carefully gather all the information they need, asking sensible questions and making excellent suggestions, so that they can take as much of the burden off your shoulders as possible. Everything went like clockwork on the big day and the whole team were friendly, conscientious and hardworking throughout. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Neil and his team were faultless from start to finish. Speedy, tidy, friendly and definitely went above and beyond. I felt I was in safe hands throughout the entire process. Whilst I am not expecting to move again -ever!- I wouldn’t hesitate to give Neil a call.

Total Removals were recommended by the estate agent and I’m so pleased they were. The move was slightly complicated as some furniture was being stored by them and some delivered straight away to house, also loads of fiddly and very heavy garden goods to be transported. Organisation of every aspect and care of all goods carried out to the highest standard. Nothing was too much trouble and huge care taken to ensure no muddy foot marks in the house, either end, despite foul weather, both taking and delivery, and our newly painted walls, remained pristine without a scratch, it was all carried out by a cheerful accommodating team who obviously enjoyed the work and working with each other. Many thanks to Neil who advised us from the beginning and kept us informed and made a stressful time much easier.

I unexpectedly ended up being abroad and unable to pack and move some, but not all, of my belongings to a new property. Thankfully, Neil came to my rescue. He immediately put me at ease with assurances that his team have lots of experience with packing up households without the owner present. On the day, his team called me at the time promised to discuss the final details of a complicated packing job before taking my belongings to the new place. When I finally got back to London and my new flat, I was delighted to find all the boxes neatly stacked and labelled, which made unpacking so much easier. I cannot recommend Total Removals enough.

Neill was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout setting up my move. I could ask him any questions and he got back to lightning fast. On the day, three of his very friendly movers came, took furniture apart, packed all my belongings and off we went to my new home. By being efficient, careful and very nice to talk to, they made my move such a pleasant and stress-free experience! These guys are utterly brilliant and you won’t regret hiring them. Neil and his team did an outstanding job with our move within London. They clearly knew what they were doing and were friendly and patient—basically, the kind of folks you would be happy to have in your home and handle your stuff. It made our move an unusually relaxed experience. All was done according to agreed schedule and budget. Pricing was fair. Aftercare was also very good. One item got a small scratch during transport, Neil sent a pro to take care of it. We would be happy to use Total Removals again.

I can't recommend Total Removals highly enough. Over 3 days they packed up my flat, moved me and then were incredibly helpful in unpacking my things and (unlike many removal firms), putting them away. Neal and his team were knowledgeable, professional and clearly highly experienced. They were friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They packed fragile things particularly carefully and when unpacking, were very willing to move furniture around to find the right spot. They made an otherwise stressful experience, so much easier. I was initially concerned that their quote was a bit higher than another recommended company, but it was clear from talking to Neil that they were going to be very reliable. Their quote was also all-inclusive, with no extras for materials or more time. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely use them if/when I move again.

The run up to our house move had been even more stressful than we had anticipated, so we were expecting the move itself might be more of the same. However Neil and the whole team were incredibly professional, capable and at the same time, calm and friendly. The packing service ran like clockwork, impressively efficient. We were moving quite a distance, from London to East Sussex, the team took this all in their stride. We would highly recommend them. An amazing team and a very positive experience.

Neil and his team did a fantastic job for us. They made no fuss about our flat being located in quite a difficult place to access, calmly packing up and loading the van. They took great care with our possessions and were keen to ensure that fragile items were packed correctly. The team were good-humoured throughout, extremely polite and worked very efficiently. Neil was entirely transparent about cost which was agreed in advance. He was very responsive when I had questions in the build up to the job and he and his team kindly accommodated our request to move between Christmas and New Year at relatively short notice.

What can I say about London Total Removals. Were they considerate of all our needs ? Were they always on time ? Were they extremely careful with my possessions to the point that not even a single chocolate teaspoon used for stirring into hot chocolate had not a mark on them ? Did they make me feel that I was in the safest of hands and that absolutely nothing was a problem for them ? The answer to all of the above is yes and more . From the moment Neil walked through our door to the moment we reached our new home and everything was unload was an absolute breeze . We had a tricky move but Neil and his crew made everything worry free . The care taken was fantastic . We cannot recommend this company highly enough . You were all absolutely brilliant . A 4 bed house plus loads of big heavy potted shrubs just taken in their stride Huge thank you to Neil and to everyone who came and packed up our house and moved us carefully to our new home .

We emailed around for quotations and Neil offered to call us on a Sunday to discuss, which was ideal. Throughout the work they were incredibly responsive to any of our messages. I was recovering from major surgery and not allowed to lift things, so we got the packing/moving service. They brought boxes and wrapping paper and wrapped and boxed all of our belongings except for e.g. some electronics that we wanted to carry instead. They even took the indoor and outdoor plants, although with a warning they could not guarantee plant health during the move (our plants all arrived fine). They labelled all of the boxes and moved them to the correct rooms on moving in, plus marked some boxes as fragile as needed. They reassembled our beds in our new bedrooms too. We were moving out of a part-furnished place and they did not incorrectly take any of the landlord's furniture. On the packing day there were two people and on the moving day there were five people, all moving busily. The quotation was competitive with other companies in the area, and the packing service was great value for money, to the point where we will likely never move again without using a packing service. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Along with tax-returns, moving house has traditionally been one of my least favourite things to do. Neil and his team have changed all this. From first contact to the first night at our new property this company has found a way to make moving house a relaxed, pleasurable, exciting experience. I'm unsurprised that every review I've read on here is saying something similar, as Neil truly has a unique vision as to how this service should be carried out. And his way of doing things isn't far off from what I expect most people would wish moving house could be like.
