As approved Worcester Bosch installers we can offer a 7 Year warranty on all Worcester Bosch gas boilers supplied and fitted before end of December 2013 or 8 years if you include a Worcester inline filter.

Transgas Services Heating & Plumbing Limited is a small family run business. Having left British Gas in order to establish Transgas Services in 2003, we now have 6 fully qualified engineers. This growth is due to a few key factors, including:

Transgas replaced my life expired boiler. The work was completed within the agreed schedule and to the price in the original quote. Mitch the engineer was easy to deal with and the pipework etc. was done neatly.

I asked for our saniflow to be fixed. They did this but it did not last very long until it broke again. We then agreed to replace the saniflow unit (at what I consider great cost). We stated in advance we would need to activate the warranty (so it is insured given the history and costs). However, they refused to give us the unique ID necessary for this once the work was done (they said this info was on the system itself that they had installed but that they do not take a note of this). When I explained that it was needed for the warranty they said they would charge me again for a further call out charge to get it. I found the interactions deeply unpleasant too.

Sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service. With regards to pricing, all works were quoted for and agreed upon prior to completion. With regards to the warranty, we didn't feel it was unreasonable to see if your tenant could provide a photo of the data badge, had this not been possible we would have returned. We understand requests for payment can cause friction if you feel there is information outstanding, however, withholding the full balance when parts have been fitted and full function has been restored didn't seem fair to us as we have had to pay for the materials and the engineer to carry out the installation. Sorry you feel we were unable to resolve this issue for yourself. In response to the above review, this will be our final update as it’s turning into an open conversation. We’ve squeezed the job in before Christmas, looked at how much it would cost to repipe and remove the unit (£8k highlighted why this was a bad idea), installed the new unit and invoiced as per the amount agreed in our quote. We didn’t record a serial number but asked if the tenant would be able to get a photo of this to save a return visit. We would have returned for free if necessary and still will if it’s needed. We did ask for part payment of the bill which seemed fair as the materials were paid for and installed and our suppliers and our engineer expect us to pay them also. We regret that it’s escalated to this level so quickly but feel pursuing this further will benefit neither party

We had several issues with our heating system which led us to believe our house was simply a cold one. Our service engineer promptly condemned our boiler and our gas fire and then Transgas set about installing a new boiler, valves and a power flush. We now have a beautifully warm house and a 21st century thermostat. We’ve also had our gas hob replaced. All the team were very friendly, prompt and excellent communicators. It struck me that the whole team were happy working together and really keen to get the best possible results. They were also super tidy and reasonably priced. Happy customer.

New Boiler, combine 2 hot water systems into a single efficient system and repair radiators

As discussed on Friday I just want to pass on my sincere thanks to every member of your team for the work they did last week at our house. The work was substantial and I am certain that a good deal of it was not straightforward at all. The New boiler seems to be working fine - the hot water is very hot and seems to be working everywhere - which indicates that the transition to a single hot water system has worked. As you know, having 2 hot water systems - (with one based on a 24 hour electric emersion element) has always been a great irritation to me over the years. The single cylinder installed in the loft has restored water pressure to the upstairs bathrooms to a level that I have never seen in this house - and I have been there over 25 years. I now cannot understand why I put up with the previous water pressure for so long. However all the team worked so hard - and given that the weather was 37 degrees - and probably higher than that in the loft where the cylinder was installed, I think that the team has done brilliantly to achieve all this in such working conditions. Everything was cleared from the site and the removal of various old tanks, cylinders and pumps from the loft and airing cupboard has made extra space. I had thought that the work may have been postponed given the weather conditions - but not so - and everything was completed in line with your predicted schedule. Once again many many thanks for a job very well done to everyone involved.

Transgas came to look at a few issues we had around the house. We discussed each of them one by one. there was one issue which was not resolved but the plumber said he would get back to me if they were able to come up with a solution. A few days later someone else came round and was able to fix the issue. They didn't charge me for the second visit and also re-sealed my shower after the leak was not gone first time. All round they were very easy to deal with, on time, friendly and not overly expensive.

Transgas Services provided a fast, calm, efficient Covid secure service with a timed appointment that fitted neatly into my working day with no “an engineer will be with you between 07:00 and 13:00” hanging around. Their charming, efficient, unobtrusive and professional plumber arrived on the dot, fixed the first loo, said the flush on second had more life in it and that changing it was, in his opinion, an unnecessary expense (thank you, no one likes to spend money they don’t need to). Their chap fixed the tap and told me that, as it was quite corroded, it would get worse again and need replacing. I really appreciated that he didn’t just crack on and replace it there and then with some random mis-matched tap, that instead he bought us some time to think about what to do long term. No card reader “don’t get too close to me” anti-Covid dance faff, an invoice matching the estimate was sent by email and I paid effortlessly using my internet banking app. All in all a super experience, thank you.
