As approved Worcester Bosch installers we can offer a 7 Year warranty on all Worcester Bosch gas boilers supplied and fitted before end of December 2013 or 8 years if you include a Worcester inline filter.

Transgas Services Heating & Plumbing Limited is a small family run business. Having left British Gas in order to establish Transgas Services in 2003, we now have 6 fully qualified engineers. This growth is due to a few key factors, including:

I asked for our saniflow to be fixed. They did this but it did not last very long until it broke again. We then agreed to replace the saniflow unit (at what I consider great cost). We stated in advance we would need to activate the warranty (so it is insured given the history and costs). However, they refused to give us the unique ID necessary for this once the work was done (they said this info was on the system itself that they had installed but that they do not take a note of this). When I explained that it was needed for the warranty they said they would charge me again for a further call out charge to get it. I found the interactions deeply unpleasant too.

Sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service. With regards to pricing, all works were quoted for and agreed upon prior to completion. With regards to the warranty, we didn't feel it was unreasonable to see if your tenant could provide a photo of the data badge, had this not been possible we would have returned. We understand requests for payment can cause friction if you feel there is information outstanding, however, withholding the full balance when parts have been fitted and full function has been restored didn't seem fair to us as we have had to pay for the materials and the engineer to carry out the installation. Sorry you feel we were unable to resolve this issue for yourself. In response to the above review, this will be our final update as it’s turning into an open conversation. We’ve squeezed the job in before Christmas, looked at how much it would cost to repipe and remove the unit (£8k highlighted why this was a bad idea), installed the new unit and invoiced as per the amount agreed in our quote. We didn’t record a serial number but asked if the tenant would be able to get a photo of this to save a return visit. We would have returned for free if necessary and still will if it’s needed. We did ask for part payment of the bill which seemed fair as the materials were paid for and installed and our suppliers and our engineer expect us to pay them also. We regret that it’s escalated to this level so quickly but feel pursuing this further will benefit neither party

We had several issues with our heating system which led us to believe our house was simply a cold one. Our service engineer promptly condemned our boiler and our gas fire and then Transgas set about installing a new boiler, valves and a power flush. We now have a beautifully warm house and a 21st century thermostat. We’ve also had our gas hob replaced. All the team were very friendly, prompt and excellent communicators. It struck me that the whole team were happy working together and really keen to get the best possible results. They were also super tidy and reasonably priced. Happy customer.

As discussed on Friday I just want to pass on my sincere thanks to every member of your team for the work they did last week at our house. The work was substantial and I am certain that a good deal of it was not straightforward at all. The New boiler seems to be working fine - the hot water is very hot and seems to be working everywhere - which indicates that the transition to a single hot water system has worked. As you know, having 2 hot water systems - (with one based on a 24 hour electric emersion element) has always been a great irritation to me over the years. The single cylinder installed in the loft has restored water pressure to the upstairs bathrooms to a level that I have never seen in this house - and I have been there over 25 years. I now cannot understand why I put up with the previous water pressure for so long. However all the team worked so hard - and given that the weather was 37 degrees - and probably higher than that in the loft where the cylinder was installed, I think that the team has done brilliantly to achieve all this in such working conditions. Everything was cleared from the site and the removal of various old tanks, cylinders and pumps from the loft and airing cupboard has made extra space. I had thought that the work may have been postponed given the weather conditions - but not so - and everything was completed in line with your predicted schedule. Once again many many thanks for a job very well done to everyone involved.

Transgas came to look at a few issues we had around the house. We discussed each of them one by one. there was one issue which was not resolved but the plumber said he would get back to me if they were able to come up with a solution. A few days later someone else came round and was able to fix the issue. They didn't charge me for the second visit and also re-sealed my shower after the leak was not gone first time. All round they were very easy to deal with, on time, friendly and not overly expensive.

Transgas Services provided a fast, calm, efficient Covid secure service with a timed appointment that fitted neatly into my working day with no “an engineer will be with you between 07:00 and 13:00” hanging around. Their charming, efficient, unobtrusive and professional plumber arrived on the dot, fixed the first loo, said the flush on second had more life in it and that changing it was, in his opinion, an unnecessary expense (thank you, no one likes to spend money they don’t need to). Their chap fixed the tap and told me that, as it was quite corroded, it would get worse again and need replacing. I really appreciated that he didn’t just crack on and replace it there and then with some random mis-matched tap, that instead he bought us some time to think about what to do long term. No card reader “don’t get too close to me” anti-Covid dance faff, an invoice matching the estimate was sent by email and I paid effortlessly using my internet banking app. All in all a super experience, thank you.

Dan was excellent. He completed the annual boiler service efficiently. He answered all my technical questions and provided helpful advice. I was much clearer on how and why various parts of the boiler were maintained. He was unfortunately held up for 40 mins by his previous job, but apologised on arrival. He was friendly and focussed. I have used Transgas for over 8 years for boiler installation and maintenance.

I needed some pipes moving to acoomodate a new washer. It was an awkward job to move outlet and central heating pipes to gain an extra 2 cm of depth in the laudry closet. Execellent work, got my result, tidy, effcient and timely. Problems sometimes occur. The test of a good company is when things go wrong and how they respond. The next morning there were problems with the hot water and central heating. One telephone call, and the engineer re-set the system within 2 hours - again great service. I have used Transgas previously, and also for my anuual gas bolier check. Thet are a reliable company delivering great quality work. They have my recommendation.

I've been using Transgas to do our annual boiler service and any associated works since 2015. During that time they have proven to be reliable, prompt and professional in the way they carry out the work and provide any necessary certifications. The most recent work was to undertake a boiler servicing and install a new radiator that replaced an older model they had drained and removed a few months previously. Any requirements are quoted for and costed accordingly and their technicians are helpful, patient and thorough.

I was very happy with this boiler replacement job. The quote was almost 50% cheaper than the alternative from a major utility supplier, with unnecessary extras such as scaffolding cut out. The timescale for installation was also several weeks quicker than the major utility. The installation went very smoothly with sub-contractors lined up with almost military precision. Very impressive. The engineer did leave a valve turned off when he left but returned the next day to correct this. Highly recommended supplier.

Boiler replacement. The estimator was quick, knowledgeable and open, and (unlike others) didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. Provided clear advice and estimate. Engineers were punctual to the minute. Although they quickly encountered a wasps nest they rescheduled the work for immediately after the nest was cleared, with no extra charge. Have done a neat installation with no fuss and at a competitive price.

What a relief to find a company that can be trusted in every respect. Transgas are professional, courteous, punctual, friendly and tidy and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them and the cost of a replacement boiler was I felt very reasonable. In addition Transgas are also approved Worcester-Bosch installers which means a new boiler comes with a 7 year warranty, where do you get a guarantee like that these days for the most important appliance in your home. I was concerned about my boiler and John came(even rang me to say he'd be 10mins late) later that day. A thorough checkup was done with some seals put in the next day, after ordering them. The important thing is that he could find traces of CO in the emissions going outside. This was because the gas pressure was lower than ideal by some way. He rectified most of this gap and the efficiency of the boiler should improve significantly. Just shows the half job others do. Price was very reasonable and was the chap was even thoughtful enough to take off his trainers at the doormat.

I recently decided to replace my old open system with a new combi boiler and got 3 plumbers round to quote. John was quick to attend and respond, he had some good suggestions and, critically I thought, saw the potential issues of any designs etc. that I wanted. Transgas were not the cheapest, but they were also not the dearest and I felt confident that they would do the work to my satisfaction (I am hard to please!). John and Peter (who did the majority of the work) were great, always arrived bang on time and the one time they could not phoned the night before and were extremely apologetic. Most importantly the work was completed in a timely fashion and as we had agreed. I asked for a slight change to one pipe which was immediately done. The best recommendation I give though is that I have asked them back to quote again for more work!

This was installed last year, IÍm now having pipe work extended in a new extension, this had to be done in conjunction with the builders, very pleased John arranged this on time and work completed without any problems.

Called today to arrange a boiler service and they were able to come around within an hour of my calling which was impressive. Having used British Gas in the past I was pleased with how thorough and polite Transgas services were and the price, £78, was significantly cheaper than the £200 a year I was paying with a boiler and heating insurance contract previously. I plan to upgrade my heating system next year and will definitely be giving Transgas Services a call.

Transgas managed a difficult and complicated project to replace our old boiler (which vented through an internal chimney to the roof). This involved redesigning the system, re-locating the new boiler, replacing the hot water tank, fitting new valves to 20+ radiators, and adding new radiators to utility room and airing cupboard. The project ran like clockwork, with new kit arriving each day on schedule, and team members with the right skills arriving each day on time. They worked hard and late when necessary, and dealt professionally with numerous unforeseen problems as the arose. They take great pride in their work and we are very pleased with the results.
