Disposal of two Chinese built Byocycle folding electric bikes.

I had two Chinese-built folding ByoCycles, which had not been ridden since the Covid pandemic and which we no longer wish to ride due to our age and the increasing traffic in the Headcorn area. Both had flat batteries that could not be charged, and both were in need of servicing before they could be used safely again. I contacted the Electric Bike Centre for advice. They offered to take the two batteries and test them to see if either was recoverable. This cost me £60, but I felt it was worth taking a gamble. It turned out that one of the two was restorable. My brother wanted to have one of the bikes, so I asked to have one of them serviced. This cost a further £66 and my brother has been very pleased to take the bike from me and is well satisfied with its performance. This left me with the problem of disposal of the second bike. I did not wish to pay for a more expensive new battery and risk being unable to sell the bike myself to recover the cost. The Electric Bike Centre agreed to take it from me without charge. I was very happy to agree to this arrangement.

Bought a Wisper Wayfarer E bike from the UK Electric Bike Centre last October. Was able to take out an e-bike on a 20-mile ride to see if an e-bike suited me, not having ridden a bike for over 40 years! Then was able to try out several different e-bikes around the yard in front of the showroom until I found one that suited me before buying. Very helpful guidance throughout the buying process. Much better than other places I had tried out. Unfortunately, the hydraulic rear brakes failed recently, but this was quickly sorted out under warranty. Will continue to use the Electric Bike Centre for all my ongoing cycling needs.

I bought my bike here last year because the shop has so many different bikes to try and I was made to feel welcome to try as many as I wished with no pressure. I was given good advice and in the end chose a fat-tired bike because the level of comfort is so good. I would never have considered this type of bike until Warren suggested trying a couple of them. No wonder all the food delivery people use them! I had a fault on the bike after about a year and couldn't get it to provide assistance to pedalling. I sent a message to Marcus on a Friday pm late evening, and was called on Saturday morning for troubleshooting - in the end I needed to take the bike in and leave it. It was ready a few days later after the part had arrived, and the repair was done at no cost to me, and the bike was ready for the weekend. I really do recommend the shop, which also does bike hire - I haven't used this myself but often see people cycling around the local countryside on their rental bikes, looking very happy.

After getting caught in a torrential downpour, the unusual torrential downpour, I knew from previous experience that this could cause problems for my bike. It can handle heavy normal rain, but not the torrential storm because it's also the elements. I looked online for someone who would be able to locate the electrical code fault, and I knew it would be a new controller and hopefully not the motor. I found this company online, and I did think, long way from home. However, as much as I looked for closer, this was the only company willing to work with Engwe. I phoned them up and they said yes, bring it in. Wait, we emailed back and forth. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I just had this sense that despite the distance, these guys are someone willing to help you. So I booked myself and my bike on the train. Arrived, first inspection, so much work needing done. I paid the service inspection fee, very reasonable. I left with the knowledge that my invoice for full work to be carried out before they begin any work would be with me within the usual working days required. I made my way back home in the knowledge that my bike was in capable hands. After giving Warren the go-ahead to fulfil the invoice work required, I was called and emailed that my bike was ready for collection. The bike was shown much love by the team. All work is completed, and the bike is new. I needed some mechanical fixes as well as a new controller. Highly recommend both Marcus and Warren.

Took 2 x Kalkhoff bikes for service, one of which needed brakes fixing and the other needed a new gear shift lever. Needless to say the lever is no longer available in England nor EU but the chaps at UK Electric Bike Centre sourced one from USA at no extra cost. Great service and bikes returned ' as new'.

I have used the UK Electric Bike Centre previously when moving to the area a couple of years ago. They did a great job for me in getting a hybrid trail bike ready for me to explore many new rides. I had no hesitation in dropping off with the team a couple of our road bikes for full service in preparation for training programme / half triathlon event. The work was, once again, outstanding and reliable with no problems over many, many miles. All bikes have always been returned super clean and in tip top condition and any future 'advisory' issues are notified with a realistic time expectation before attention may be due. None of our bikes are E-bikes but the team here clearly know their stuff on all mechanical aspects of any bike. A really friendly, knowledgable team with a 'can-do' attitude. You are kept well informed of required works, timing and cost. A team you can trust from breathing new life into a neglected bike to comprehensive care and servicing of your beloved ££££'s pride and joy.

I had a slow puncture on my rear tyre for my E-bike that I could trace the source for. I searched for repairs near me and saw the UK electric bike centre. I emailed the query and if they'd even look at the bike due to the nature of it, they got back with a an hour or 2 and just said "yes, we can sort and just pop in and leave it with us" they fixed it over the weekend as I left late on a Friday and gave me some advice on how to prevent future punctures with sealant , they didnt push to do it, I said to do it. They even cleaned the bike which was a nice touch and let me keep the inner tube with the puncture if I ever wanted to try and repair myself for replacements. Nice guys and good service

I popped in to talk to the UK ELECTRIC BIKE CENTRE LIMITED regarding work and servicing on my seven year old Haibike. One of the bushes on the rear suspension had play in it and the rest of the bike was in need of a service. They immediately took a look and I was pleased with the information I was given. I left the bike with them and received a text one week later to say that the work had been completed. The rear suspension was repaired and a complete service carried out which included new brake pads front and rear and hydraulics bled through. The chain, sprockets and whole bike had been cleaned and rode like a new bike. Many thanks to the guys at the Electric Bike Centre.
