About

My name is John Buck and I’m the business owner of Uniglaze Windows Ltd.

As a former joiner I began installing upvc windows and doors, going on to start the business in 1986. We’ve always been an Ilkeston based company and I’m very proud of the fact that as of 2016 we’re enjoying our 30th year of trading.

My son Tom joined the business in 2002. This year I have taken on Zak, who also shares our commitment to producing quality work. Between the three of us, we fit all our own work and by doing so can guarantee a quality job every time. Unlike many other companies, I do not pay so much for fitting a window, door etc, so there is no incentive to rush jobs. We all recognise the fact that happy customers will tell others and so will unhappy ones!

Drawing on over 3 decades of industry experience, I approach clients in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner. I will never out stay my welcome. My visit to your home is typically carried out within about half an hour.

Uniglaze are a brilliant choice they have a simple price structure and are a no hassle company. The work is of a brilliant standard and carried out by a family firm who pride themselves on a providing an excellent product and fitting service. They do not contract the work out it is all done by family members who take a pride in their workmanship. They are professional and polite at all times and take a pride in the work that they do. I have recommended them to family and friends who have also had nothing but praise for this firm. I have had windows and doors on two properties from Uniglaze and both times the work was completed on time to the price agreed. An excellent choice.

Responded very quickly to initial enquiry, absolutely no hard selling. Very courteous fitters, left the area spotless. The door appears to be perfect, but nice to know they have a shop in town as an extra option if any problems do occur.

Fitting new porch and replacing existing windows. John, thank you to yourself and your team for a job well done. A few hiccups along the way but all sorted out quickly and professionally and in good spirit. Tom & Zac did a sterling job (Important fact: Tom takes 1 sugar, Zac takes none!!) Already had favourable comments and well pleased. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Had 2 doors and 10 windows and 6 replacement units all fitted to the highest standard. Competitive price and excellent service, nothing was too much trouble, even put a blind back up for us. Tom and Zac worked quietly, and cleaned up after each days work. Communication was good throughout. Would use them again and recommend.
