I can't thank Vern and his team enough for their work yesterday in moving us. Was short distance (within London), but stressful. Vern and the team were fast, kind, friendly, very flexible and reassuring throughout. They completely put me at ease. I will definitely be using them again and would definitely recommend.

Vern Phillips did a removal for my sister from one flat to another, moving just two miles. Vern was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating before the day – providing lots of boxes to pack everything. He visited when we first got in touch and again a couple of days before the move with a couple of people in his team. The two removers Wyatt and Dillon were both lovely people and the driver John was also a pleasure to be with. My sister has a number of disabilities and they were very thoughtful with her. On a stressful day they made everything go smoothly. They took great care with the furniture when dismantling it and putting it back together again and didn’t leave until everything was in place. And the price they charged was also excellent.

We got three quotes, all from excellent firms, for the removal of our four bedroom home of twenty one years from south west London to rural Northumberland. When we got the quotes, we knew it was going to be a complicated job for several reasons. Amongst other things, the timing was uncertain because we still had to exchange on our new house purchase, and what furniture was going to be part of the removal was uncertain because we were transferring our old house to a rental tenant on a part furnished basis and what furniture was staying and what was going was very much up in the air. So, whilst we were certainly looking for a competitive price, we were also looking to find someone who was willing to do the removal process in a very flexible way, and who we could believe would deliver on the flexibility they promised. From the first meeting with Vern, we had total confidence that he would come good on both scores, and he totally did. Vern, Dylan and David were a great team as they packed up our house over several days in the week before our actual move date so that there was relatively little still left to do on the moving day itself. They did all this with great efficiency and good humour. They then drove to Northumberland with an overnight stop and were ready to unload the next day with my wife at the other end and they were equally efficient and good humoured even after a three hundred mile drive. We would thoroughly recommend V A Phillips for outstanding service and will be using them again.

I was very impressed by Verne and his team from the first meeting with Verne to discuss a quote to the time he and his team left after moving me from my home in London to Hampshire. They were very professional and took great care packing my belongings and moving the furniture. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All the team were very friendly and cheerful and worked long hours to complete the move. I can highly recommend this firm for quality of service and value for money.

Very pleased with V A Phillips and his team. All belongings carefully packed and delivered the next day. All done with humour and helpfulness. Arrived early outside the new place ready for the one pm handover - which didn't happen as there was a glitch in the transfer of monies between banks. At one point I thought my belongings would have to go to a storage site but they waited until 5pm when the keys were finally handed to me and insisted on arranging all my furniture and boxes in the right rooms despite having at least a three hour drive back to Croydon.

We used Vern Phillips because from our first conversations we were impressed with his friendly, sensible and wise advice. He and his team were always cheerful, polite, thoughtful, efficient and quick. We were very pleased and grateful as they helped our move go as smoothly as possible.

Excellent, friendly and professional service. All the team went above and beyond, including to ensure everything was working in our new house. We went for the full packing option and all of our belongings were well cared for at every stage and boxes were accurately labelled to enable us to find things when unpacking. Would highly recommend.

We had not moved house for almost 49 years and we were apprehensive beforehand. We need not have worried as Vern and his young assistants were extremely likeable, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. They performed their often back-breaking job very efficiently and it is a trifle boring to have no criticism.

Can't speak highly enough of Vern, Dave, Dillon and the guys. They came and started packing 2 days before the move and everything was handled with meticulous care and given excellent protection. Furniture was disassembled efficiently and rapidly and everything made ready for our Friday move. Every interaction was met with politeness, unfailing humour and a dedication to the job, underpinned by a first class work ethic - they worked hard over long hours and were never anything less than professional. The unloading went incredibly swiftly, despite all the stairs, we shared plenty of laughs around takeaway pizza for dinner (everybody deserved it!) and they came back the next day to finish reconstructing the furniture (Dave is an Ikea genius!). We were tired and emotional by the end of it but Vern and his team stayed positive, polite, professional and hard-working to the end. We are delighted with our move and with the excellent service they provided, and would definitely use them again (if we ever decide to move!).
