Vears Ltd

This is the second time we have arranged for Vears to reline and retile a section of our house roof. All the work has been carried out to a high standard by Will and his team, who always attended as arranged and always left everything tidy when they left. Any additional necessary work was explained and agreed before proceeding and it was good to feel confident that we had engaged experienced roofers.

Vears quoted for the project and gave a start date which was kept. We were notified when the scaffolding would be installed and despite poor weather this was done with minimum fuss. The roof work was undertaken carefully, the builders were cooperative, the builders were no nuisance and considering the weather the work was done to programme. I am very satisfied indeed with the project and the liaison with Vears office staff. All great!

A quick and tidy repair carried out to our roof to solve a water-leak issue. The guys that carried out the work were polite and cleaned up after themselves. The work was completed within the budget we had agreed. A follow-up from the office the following day to make sure we were happy with the work. I wish more builders were like Vears; highly recommended.

Administration always dealt with enquiries promptly and efficiently. The original survey was conducted with understanding of all the problems. New felt was required on an old cottage roof, major repair to old chimney, and replacing rotten lead valley. They dealt with additional work needed, and some extra minor requests. Work carried out to quotation and time scale. Roofers arrived on time every day, always cheerful and helpful. They left the site clean and tidy.

From our first call, we had an early response for an inspection of our roof. Having made a thorough inspection we were advised to have the ridge tiles removed and refitted with a dry ridge system. We had confidence in Will's knowledge and judgement. Two others had suggested a lot more work (and cost). We were quickly given a Quotation and an estimated date for work to start. Will returned on that date and worked quietly and efficiently to carry out the work and leave everything clean and tidy. The ladies in the office were spot-on with their communication at all times and never had to be chased. Overall, an excellent service, so we can strongly recommend the roofing side of the business. We have no experience of other parts of the business but would imagine they work to the same standard.

Vears has just completed the conversion of our separate stone built garage into a two storey studio, with a separate bathroom and open plan kitchen. From start to finish all the tradesmen involved worked to a very high standard, communicated effectively (with us and each other) and were helpful and friendly. They all seemed to take a real pride in their work and we felt they were personally vested in our project, and concerned to do their best for us. The quotation we received for the work was comprehensive and thorough, and there were no 'surprises'. The snag list was very short, and the issues corrected very quickly. We are delighted with our new studio. Overall these builders are a class outfit, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

We approached the re roofing of our house with some trepidation but our experience with Vears Ltd was excellent in every respect. It was reassuring to deal with Will, from start to finish and we could not have wished for a more helpful and professional roofer. We received a fair and detailed estimate and all the work was carried out to a high standard and the site always left tidy. Some additional works were readily carried out and costs for these clearly explained. The office staff were also very pleasant to deal with, easily contacted and always helpful with any matters we raised. We have no hesitation in recommending Vears Ltd for any roofing project you may have.

We contacted Vears about a serious roof leak, having been let down by another local builder. Although they are very busy they managed to send their roofer the same day to establish the work needed. They sent a quote the following morning which we accepted. The work was completed just a week later! The office called the following day to check we were happy with the work carried out, which we were. All members of Vears we had contact with were polite, punctual and very professional. The standard of work was excellent. Such a refreshing experience!!

Vears have just completed a large kitchen extension for us. This project involved knocking down our old conservatory and extending outwards to the end of the house. We were guided along the process by the whole Vears team and in particular by Wayne and Jack who were thoroughly helpful, friendly and professional throughout the work. They always answered our queries and advised us is so many ways, coming up with great ideas which helped us improve our patio area. We were never left "hanging", they always worked very hard and left the site tidy at the end of the day. As we had to cope with the CV virus causing a lockdown, Vears made sure we were left in a position where we could safely use the kitchen until they were able to return and finish the job. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vears, the whole team works really well together and between them they have all the skills needed to do a really great job.

We used Vears to install six replacement Velux rooflights. From estimate to installation, the communication was excellent keeping us informed of when they would be able to complete the job and what was needed (we purchased the Velux rooflights direct). Installation was completed efficiently, cleanly to a high standard and on budget. Would recommend to others.

Although we had to wait for the work to be done we were advised of this at the start and kept well informed all the way through. Office communications were efficient and the work was done to a high standard in a tidy way. Well worth waiting for.

Excellent job the repair was completed after new part was collected and fitted immediately. Communication from the office was very efficient and call dealt with promptly. We have had a new kitchen and bathroom fitted in the past, immensely satisfied with a first class job. We would not hesitate to recommend Vears for any type of building works.
