I urgently needed a spare part for my mum’s stairlift and Liam very kindly went out of his way to ensure I got the part - even going so far as to check his stock and update me on his day off, and then suggest a convenient meeting-point as the item would have arrived too late if posted. I highly recommend Liam for his helpfulness, friendliness, speedy response, great communication and honest service. He truly went above and beyond.

Liam removed my Dad's 30 year old Stannah stairlift on Friday in preparation for the house being sold. He came at very short notice to fit in with our plans. His arrival was delayed and he texted to notify us in plenty of time. He completed the job quickly and efficiently. The area was left tidy and the only traces remaining were a few neat screw holes in the wall. He charged a reasonable price. He has done work for us before repairing the stairlift and we are happy to recommend him.

Liam has previously replaced the gas pump on the stairlift, which works well, and he's very pleasant and efficient. He came to assess a new issue but didn't charge! He's very much in demand and can't always stick to times but will turn up anyway and do a good job :-)

I had a problem with my stair lift and Liam came from West Sussex Stairlift Services. He sorted out the problem efficiently, was very helpful, polite and easy to talk to.

My son had to find someone to repair my stairlift as the company that installed it had gone out of business. I was initially a bit anxious as although far from technically naïve, I spent my working life as a university lecturer and research scientist, stairlifts aren't something I know anything about, so would be terrifyingly easy to take advantage of, because I'm now so dependent on my stairlift, was desperate to get it repaired and, having had a stroke 4 years ago and now in my 80s, am not as 100% on the ball as I once would've been. I needn't have worried in the slightest, Liam, having inspected the lift, clearly laid out what the fault was, a breakdown of costs between parts and labour and options to consider, did I want to replace the batteries if they weren't holding charge as well as they should. He had to return a second time to repair the fault as he needed to order a part, but was clear about timescales and even came back on a bank holiday to install the part once it has arrived as I was so desperate to have the lift back in service. Liam is kind, courteous, competent and instills real confidence, I can't recommend him too highly, wouldn't have a second thought about having him in my home, indeed will be having him back in a year's time to do an annual service.

The engineer came today to repair my wife's stairlift. His company fitted it some months ago. The fault turned out to be something simple (probably my fault) but was fixed by Liam (the engineer). he did not charge me for his time and trouble but opted to add the amount on to his next visit, which will be to service the equipment.

We have used Liam since 2017 to service and repair my husbands stairlift. He provides an excellent service. He is friendly, knowledgeable and always explains fully what he needs to do in terms we can understand. On this occasion my husbands stairlift had stopped working altogether and he came out the day I called, despite it being a Sunday and had it going in no time. I have no reservations in recommending him.

West Sussex Stairlifts fitted our stair lift about five years. We could not fault the service then. They did the job when they said they would for the price agreed and left leaving the place spotless. Unfortunately, now the stair lift was no longer required so we called Liam to arrange it's removal. Once again he was very helpful arranging a time convenient to us. He arrived on time and had the job done within the hour, and removed the old stairlift all free of charge.

Having found Liam on the internet, I was very impressed with his 'can do' attitude, his knowledge and professionalism. He was easy to deal with, very personable and extremely helpful from the onset in getting my brother-in-laws stairlift up and running again. The work was carried out efficiently, Liam Richmond was polite and patient, with me, at all times. He was happy to answer any questions l had, and explained the problem in ways l could understand. When he'd repaired the stairlift he cleaned it all, leaving no mess behind. I would happily recommend Liam to any who needed his services.

Really chuffed that Liam came out so quickly and that my mother hasn't been stuck upstairs for too long! (This is preferable to being stuck downstairs, as her bed is upstairs!) He came out on warranty work for a stairlift supplied by another firm … if we need another one we'll certainly consider buying it from Liam's company West Sussex Stairlifts instead. He wore his mask, got on with the job knowledgeably and matter-of-factly, and was happy to explain and demonstrate what had gone wrong in the mysterious inner workings of the machine without being condescending to a female personage … very easy to get along with, too; what more could one ask for? I'm sure you could trust your granny to him and she'd be tickled pink. Very pleased.

Called today as my stair lift stopped working half way down my stairs. Read their reviews, sounded good so I rang, spoke to Liam who said he would come later today to see if he could get it started, very nice man got it sorted, clean tidy and very helpful. Extremely happy.

Repair of stairlift that had occasionally ceased to function. The work was satisfactorily done under the (large,) agreed, call-out fee; I had expected to pay for labour in addition. The operator appeared to work efficiently, and was a most pleasant young man. He not only cleaned up the small mess he had caused, he gave the whole installation a thorough clean - beyond what was expected. I suspect he deals entirely with the elderly and has an excellent technique with old ladies!

They were able to repair my lift which is no longer made. Getting parts was a challenge but they got me going again. Phew! Thanks to Liam. Liam was very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly and turned up as expected. I can thoroughly recommend this company’s services

Liam was called out by Stairlift Services Ltd following a breakdown of our stair lift. He contacted us and arrived within three hours of being called out by the company. The usual faults were soon checked-out and he had to use his expertise to finally locate and rectify the fault, which was in the wiring system in the chair arm. His perseverance, politeness and dedication to solving the matter was commendable. He left us with fully working stairlift.

Not only did he understand the Stair lifts problems from my description & to amazement Lord Liam was able to come out to fix machine after this phone call, on 31st Dec 2020 and finished that day 31st Dec 2020. On arrival Lord Liam was professional, nice mannered, efficient & very helpful. Sorted the main reason, which was batteries under the seat, their vaults were too low & then went on to sort out other few problems on the track; to make the ride a lot smooth for me. Lord Liam is a gem, smile as you want! I'm keeping his workmanship in the Disabled World, I find myself in. My thanks!

I requested a non urgent service of the stair lift but was offered an appointment more quickly than anticipated. Liam arrived within the stated time frame and completed the service thoroughly. As usual he was very pleasant and professional.

Liam originally installed our stair lift with curved rail and did so very efficiently and without disruption. He has just been to fix a problem which it turned out to be due to failing batteries. As before he was very pleasant in manner and efficient, I would recommend him to anyone.

Liam originally installed my mum's stair lift several years ago and it was only this year that I have had to ring and ask him to look at a fault. He said he would come straight away but it would be later in the day as he had a previous booking. He arrived later in the afternoon and sorted the problem in no time. I would have no hesitation in recommending Liam as he explains what is wrong and what he is doing (in simple terms you can understand) and he's patient and well mannered. He is always tidy and efficient and I am very glad we chose him for the initial installation.

Liam was quick, extremely tidy, polite and kindly. When I needed the stairlift installed for my elderly visiting mother he came very quickly and we never had any problems with it at all. When Mum died he came immediately to remove it, as he understood seeing the lift was upsetting to me, even though he was suffering from back problems. I can't thank him enough or rate him highly enough.

I contacted Liam following unsuccessful attempts to contact Handicare or Clearwell about repairing my mum's stairlift. Liam was happy to visit to investigate her stairlift problem and was on-site within 3 hours of the initial phone call. He was polite, considerate and friendly and had identified the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes of arrival. Liam arrived shortly after contacting him. With no pressure he advised us a new stairlift was required, he returned later in the day to replace the old one and install the new one. The work was carried out cleanly and efficiently. His manner was polite, friendly and helpful.
