Window Advice Centre Limited

This is the 3rd time we have used Windows Advice Centre - twice for our own house and once for my mother's house. They make the whole process hassle-free and give peace of mind that you're getting excellent quality at the best price. Highly recommended!

I contacted Window Advice Centre because my neighbour had just used them for a very similar double glazing job, including encasing original stained glass panels. The experience throughout was painless: one home visit from a WAC consultant who made a complete survey and produced a detailed spec, (saving me time and patience dealing with numerous double glazing salesmen); then WAC invited tenders and forwarded the top three quotes - as all the quotes were for exactly the same spec and were from WAC-recommended installation companies, it meant I could take the cheapest without worrying that I might be sacrificing quality for cost; when the windows were installed WAC carried out an inspection, identified a snagging concern, advised on a retention and chased the installers until the defect was remedied; and when the final cost for the stained glass panels (manufactured separately) was more than the original quote, WAC undertook to cover the discrepancy. I cannot fault the WAC service: they saved me much time and inconvenience, and I have no hesitation in recommending them: in fact, I've already done so.

We had 5 windows replaced by fitters contracted by the Windows Advice Centre (WAC). We are very pleased with the new windows and the service provided. The WAC advisor was very knowledgeable and thorough, explaining the process, specifying the work, and checking it on completion. The fitters were also very good. The job was completed within three days, and they left our house clean and tidy after every day's work. We would not hesitate to use the Windows Advice Centre again.

As with all work that needs attention in the home, our first port of call is Which's "Find a trader". We were looking to find a company to replace our ten large tenement windows with double glazing, and Which advised that we contact Window Advice Centre Limited before deciding. This review is being written immediately after the very successful installation has been completed, and a review of the installation company has now been made. However the considerable and positive input of the Window Advice Centre and it's representative George, cannot be over-estimated. George promptly responded to our origonal call and made a lengthy visit during which he took great care in explaning the options available to us, and discussed in detail what we wanted and would be most suitable. He then obtained estimates from five companies and returned to help us choose the most appropriate. Before, and during the installation, George kept in touch and after completion visited to make sure every thing was satisfactory. He took some time in examining every window, and found a very minor problem which when he reported to the installers was immediately resolved. The options available and challenges involved in installing double glazing can be overwhelming; the Window Advice Centre made the whole experience (almost) a doddle.

Used Window Advice Centre to replace all of our existing UPVC windows. From day one we had a clear understanding of the work required, the estimated cost, and the anticipated timescale. In practice, all of the contract elements were met. Found dealing with Window Advice Centre staff extremely easy, they were very helpful and able to provide guidance and reassurance at all times, additionally we were kept fully informed throughout the period of the contract.

I have used Windows Advice Service twice now, for my own home and for my mother's house. They were superb from start to finish - their service gives you peace of mind that you're getting a top quality installation from a reputable contractor, and the final inspection makes sure that everything is perfect before you pay the bill. Highly recommended.

What a great service. The Window Advice Centre took away all the stress of obtaining and comparing quotes for our new windows and doors, and we knew that they would be from reputable companies. They were also there when we needed them during installation. When there was a hiccup with one of our new windows the WAC stepped in and immediately resolved the problem for us. It was very reassuring to have an independent party to advise us. We highly recommend them.

The Windows Advice Centre made the process of buying new windows very simple & straight forward. They measured up our windows and helped understand what we wanted, they then put this out to tender. It meant that we had 1 person in the house rather than 10 different companies. Ken has been an incredible support with guiding me through the window buying process, including guidance on the council planning application, and continued support once the windows were installed. I'd recommend the company to everyone.

Ken was very professional and helpful, clearly explaining the procedure and supplying a list of Installers. Everything was very expertly carried out and the installation completed in one day. Bob Hill examined the finished work and passed it as perfect. Window Advice Service has taken the strain from me in choosing which Double Glazing Company to install my new windows and doors. They send out an expert to go over every aspect of the process with you and give advice on what is available. After coming to a decision on types of doors, windows, handles etc the work is put out to tender to companies which have been thoroughly vetted by them. I then received tenders from several companies, detailing costs for each item to be installed. I chose one, signed the contract with them, paid a deposit and two months later everything was done. My contractor was first class and I could not be more pleased with the results. Only after the work was inspected by George, the expert from from the Window Advice Service, was the balance paid. I would recommend using this service as you don't have a stream of double glazing salesmen coming to your home from firms that you know little about.
