The guys from WPJ Heating, were called out to deal with a malfunctioning boiler, the issue was quickly resolved, and all was back working in no time, I was impressed by their speedy arrival following the initial call out and quick problem solving to an immediately nonobvious fault. We also had an issue concerning an external overflow pipe releasing water especially first thing in the morning. I explained this to Matt the engineer and he gave me advice on how I could easily solve the problem.

Had a great experience with WPJ. They came and fitted a new boiler which took a good part of a day. Did an amazing job. Cleaned up after themselves. Very impressed. Will be my go to plumbers from now on.

Service that not fit for purpose

13 months after WPJ installed a pump to boost mains water pressure a leaking pipe joint attached to the pump flooded two floors below. The neighbors are demanding compensation for the damage. Ringing WPJ I asked for an emergency call out with a view to fixing the leak. Mr. Shaker refused instead suggesting I pay £90.00 + Vat per hour. Initially, he denied any works had been done by WPJ on the premises and stated that any works they undertake are only covered by a 12 month warranty. I was not informed of this at the time of the works. I believe WPJ's handling of this situation is a breach of my Consumer Rights.

I’m sorry you haven’t had a good experience using WPJ. Please let me set the record straight as everything you have noted is not correct, you’re complaining about a leak from piping that had nothing to do with our work demanding free call outs to fix something we never worked on? You’ve spent the day spamming every review site on Google, Trustpilot, Checkatrade and Which Trusted Traders with your ridiculous ranting & comments. We absolutely do not appreciate this false and abusive behaviour towards our team. Any plumber call out job emergency or not is always chargeable. It’s unreasonable to demand this to be done for free. The work we did for you was January 2020. You called us about this issue in February 2021, only now fourteen months later leaving these comments Our Terms and Conditions say work is guaranteed for twelve months and it’s your responsibility to read them. Nothing about the way Shaker handled this situation was wrong. You called us a over a year later about a leak from different piping that had nothing to do with the job. We do not tolerate you being demanding and abusive towards our staff. As for the breach of your ‘consumer rights’, you refused to pay for a simple call out charge while demanding it be done for free and being abusive towards our staff. If you can direct us to the part of the Consumer Rights Act that you claim to have been breached here, then we will discuss this with you. Martin the engineer did a fantastic job, was courteous, respectful of the property, polite, worked hard all day and nothing was too much trouble. I recommend them thoroughly.

Pressure gauge problem

WPJ serviced my boiler satisfactorily (I assume) but, the day afterward, I discovered that the pressure gauge was sky-high, way up in the red zone. By then it was the weekend and since WPJ have no emergency helpline, I had to wait two days for the matter to be resolved (although I did receive an acknowledgment of my cry for help from the office manager). An engineer came early on Monday and put matters right, assuring me that the high pressure did not constitute a physical danger, but if I see a red signal I assume the worst, so I spent the whole weekend (it felt like that anyway) bleeding radiators to ensure we were safe. Usually, WPJ are efficient, but this was an unfortunate exception. Please remember - most people do not understand the full working of boilers and are liable to worry (probably unduly) if there appears to be any chance of a gas leak or explosion. An emergency helpline might be useful. Or perhaps Worcester could rewrite their users' manual to spell out clearly whether or not a situation is dangerous.

The Surveyor took time to ask my opinion on which boiler brand I wanted and quoted for several of that range. Other surveyors quoted for boiler makes I did not want. Booked on the Friday for Monday installation of boiler. Engineer Arrived promptly, was polite and carried out the work quickly and efficiently. Let me know about turning off the water to let neighbour know as share a common water pipe. By end of day boiler in and working, guided me through the programming of the heating and checked radiators for any air locks. Work was done to agreed schedule and price. Had a slight leak on a pipe, but office rang and arranged an engineer to fix it within a day or so. No problem since. I have found the company helpful and efficient. Quick to answer queries and provide a good service.
