Exodus Adventure Travels is a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP), which means that, as well as being one of the most highly rated holiday firms in our survey, it has also guaranteed to offer a full refund, or free changes, if the Foreign Office (FCDO) changes its advice about your destination.

It has also promised that in 2024 it won’t apply any additional surcharges to holidays that have already been booked.

A specialist in adventure holidays, Exodus Adventure Travels offers more than 500 itineraries ‘in fascinating locations’ – from Peru to Madagascar. With almost 50 years’ experience, the company prides itself on its small group tours (less than 20 - normally 16 people max). Exodus received strong scores, placing it third overall in our table of escorted tour providers. 

More of you told us about cycling holidays with Exodus than any other firm in our escorted tours survey. Its excellent trips suit experienced bikers and relative beginners alike. ‘The tour leader was very professional and knowledgeable, and able to cater for the fact that members of the group had different proficiency in cycling,’ you said. This was a common theme among those who travelled with Exodus. Many praised the ‘professional’, ‘excellent local guides’, who were ‘knowledgeable and really dedicated’. 

Exodus was let down slightly by its three-star accommodation, though this is perhaps because some of the destinations offered by Exodus are quite remote. 

The quality of escorted tours you receive from Exodus is illustrated by its four-star rating for value for money. This is despite being the joint most expensive provider for escorted tours, with the average price per day of a short-haul holiday at £188pp.
