It has also promised that in 2024 it won’t apply any additional surcharges to holidays that have already been booked.

What's Inghams like?

Inghams received impressive ratings in the beach/resort category. It doesn’t really do beach holidays, but it does offer lake and mountain resorts in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France and Slovenia where you can walk, cycle, or just explore local art and culture. It received five stars in every category except value for money, where it was rated a positive four stars. At an average of £150pp per day, it is one of the pricier providers in this survey.

Customers complimented the ‘excellent’ accommodation and the ‘active in-resort reps’. Holidaymakers were also pleased with their ‘user friendly and easy’ website.

Those who went on family holidays with Inghams weren’t quite so impressed. It received just three stars for the overall organisation of the holiday. However, it was still rated five stars for customer service, accommodation and description matching reality. The range of results left Inghams as a mid-table provider for family holidays.

Those who went on ski holidays with Inghams rated it four stars across the board. However, other companies in this category got a better customer score, including Alpine elements, another provider that specialises in active European holidays. The main difference was Alpine Elements' five-star value for money rating.

Should I book with Inghams?

Absolutely. Its resort holidays in Europe are an excellent option. However, for family holidays you may want to look higher up the table at Kuoni or Jet2Holidays. Similarly, for ski holidays, Alpine Elements and Virgin Holidays received a better customer score, and a better value for money rating.
