All consumers want outstanding customer service from tradespeople so we set out to find three ‘faces’ for Which? Trusted Traders who advocate a customer-focused approach. The website moderation team at Which? is lucky enough to read thousands of positive reviews about Which? Trusted traders. Most often, reviewers praise a contractor’s good advice, expert workmanship and fair pricing.
Nonetheless, when we launched our search for the ‘faces’ of Which? Trusted Traders 2015, we were bowled over by the number of companies that told us about how customer service is at the very heart of their business – for both personal and strategic reasons. We are happy to share our three amazing winners!
Many, such as Darren Blunn from winning business Heppelthwaite The Red Van Plumbers, feel it is their dedication to customer service is fuelled by a desire to raise standards within their own business and the industry generally.
Another winner, plumbing and heating firm HITGAS, incorporated their customer service ethos of honesty, integrity and trust (‘H’, ‘I’ and ‘T’) into the company name. They’re reaping the rewards of this customer-focused approach with reduced advertising costs and plenty of repeat business.
Mark Gallagher, our winner from South London Heating, explained how customer service separates “good companies from great companies.” For Mark, top customer service and membership of Which? Trusted Traders help his business to stand out from the crowd in a competitive industry.
