Trader of the Month June 2016 - RSD Electrical

By Rebecca Milligan

Congratulations to RSD Electrical – June 2016’s Trader of the Month. Which? Trusted Traders spoke to Reece Davies, the owner and founder of RSD Electrical, to find out what winning means to the Swansea-based firm

Reece Davies of RSD Electrical was inspired to set up his business by his sister, who is also a successful electrician. However, Reece may well be the brightest spark in the family, as he is the only one who is a Which? Trusted trader - so far. Not content with simply receiving his accreditation, he has landed June 2016 Trader of the Month, thanks to his excellent customer-focussed approach and innovative advertising using the Which? Trusted trader logo.

RSD Electrical operate throughout South Wales and the full range of electrical installation needs in the area. Reece joined the scheme only three months ago, after seeing a TV ad. He feels it is a real asset to his business to be accredited by Which? Trusted Traders and that it makes him even more customer focussed. His customers tell him that the Which? Trusted Traders accreditation gives them peace of mind that he works to a high standard and provides a good quality service.

He found that going through the assessment process was a real bonus, as it helped him sort out his terms and conditions and made sure he worked in a clear and transparent way that customers appreciate.

Innovative advertising

The Which? Trusted Traders team really liked Reece’s innovative approach to his advertising – as well as putting the logo on his van, keyrings, workwear and paperwork, he has put his details and the logo on beermats that he leaves in pubs in the area.

Reece encourages other traders to advertise their membership of the scheme as much as possible to get the most out of it, saying “just get the logo out there really and show people that you’re accredited by Which? and you’ll get work from it. People like to have the security that there’s someone to go to if things go wrong.”

A growing business

Although RSD Electrical is a small business at the moment, Reece says he is looking to grow and being accredited by Which? Trusted Traders really helps him stand out from the rest. His customers often ask him about the Which? Trusted Traders scheme, particularly when they see it on his van and are impressed that he is endorsed by such a well-known brand.

Congratulations to Reece and all at RSD Electrical from everyone at Which? Trusted Traders.
