We had a great experience with 1st Independent Windows earlier this year. Michael was very professional when he came over to measure up the windows and supplied a quote within a couple of days. The quote was much more attractive than any of the larger companies we looked at and we felt we were getting good value for money. Communication throughout was exceptional, Katie was on hand to answer any queries we had and she made the process run smoothly. Finally, our fitter George was brilliant, he was super friendly and finished the job efficiently with great attention to detail. Highly recommend!

From initial visit to the full installation 1st Indepedent have a been great. Michael was very responsive via email regarding the visit, the quote, and scheduling of the work. Katie was a polite and attentive point of contact that also helped with booking the work and snagging. Katie had responded to every email we have sent in a timely manner. HavIng initially been recommended the company, I now have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to everyone else. Both windows (sash) and doors are of excellent quality and I’ve never experienced any problems. The installation team came promptly on the day, and worked hard to keep to schedule. The windows are what we expected and are keeping us warm! Communication was easy and even a crack that happened during installation was remedied quickly and without fuss.

We have used this family firm before and knew of the quality of their service and products. James the fitter arrived promptly and was a diligent worker. He left the site clean and tidy. We were particularly pleased with the way he offered suggestions to some additional trim which was required. A good product and good job well done.

No hard sell at all. Very competitive quote and those all important recommendations meant with went with this small local company. Really pleased. Kept us updated on progress, what they were doing and when. Really good job with no complaints at all. Plenty of communication from the office too. Had issues with 2 locks which were not quite working as they should and a couple of windows that had imperfections. Installation team highlighted this and arranged replacements immediately. I requested four quotes for our new windows, 1st Independent Windows were a recommendation through a local network group. Their price was competitive and Philip was very helpful with the type of windows we wanted, he provided several quotes on several designs. The final product is everything we had hoped for, the windows are top quality and the guys that fitted them were very professional. The fitting service was extremely clean and tidy. A very competitive quote for replacing 2 x large bay windows, side window and installing new French doors. Extremely thorough and professional with no hard sell. Fitting took place over 3 days by two installers who worked non-stop from the minute they arrived. Despite some challenging old Victorian brick-work and non-straight walls, they did a fantastic job, both internally and externally. The finish was excellent and the difference it has made to both the noise level and thermal efficiency is incredible - it made us realise how bad the old windows actually were! Really can't fault the service - the price quoted was exactly what we paid and we're more than pleased with the results. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend 1st independent windows for new window installation. Their quote was very competitive, they were very responsive and helpful (particularly giving us advice about a faulty lock on a UPVc door that saved us having to have it replaced). This is the third time I have used 1st Independent. They have now replaced the front and rear windows with beautiful sash windows, quality brass fittings and locks. They also replaced a patio of patio doors which is no low threshold with clean lines and also brass handles and fittings. They came when they said they would and made a nice job of the fitting. Very pleased.

He provided comprehensive details of the products and the available options. The work was carried out on time with a minimum of distruption by conscientious and courteous fitters. This local company was highly recommended by friends and family. Very professional and friendly company to deal with, from no-nonsense, best-price quote, through Corona virus lockdown delay, to fitting. The price was very competitive and advice and suggestions helpful. The entire installation was completed in 5 days, including 2 bay windows and french doors. My main concern was potential damage to decor. I was amazed that there was no internal damage at all, including two tiled areas and restricted access beside a fitted wardrobe. I am so pleased with the high quality of the composite door, much better than I expected. There was minimal making good externally throughout and very professionally finished. Overall, I'm delighted with my home improvement investment and glad I chose 1st Independent.

Used 1st Independent Windows to replace existing double glazing at front of house including bay windows. They attended to survey swiftly and issued competitive quote within a couple of days. They applied absolutely no sales pressure. The work was done within the proposed time frame and was completed in two days as expected. The work was carried out competently, with no significant mess. The service and fitting by 1st Independent Windows was excellent. We needed to have our old windows replaced for quite some time, but were worried about the mess and damage replacing them would cause. The work undertaken, to completely refit double glazed windows, was executed on time and to a high specification. Windows were fitted to the rear and front of my house over two floors. Very pleased with our new windows and front door. Tina who runs the office was most helpful and very speedy in responses. We had quite a bit of back and forth before we got started (my fault) and both Tina and Kevin were very helpful. There was no hard sell and Kevin and his son were able to measure up and provide a quotation within 20 minutes. The work itself has been carried out brilliantly and to a very high standard (I am a surveyor myself so believe I have a good eye for the quality of the work). The previous windows were quite badly installed and much of the building masonry had to be repaired to install the new windows, 1st Independent did this to an exceptional standard. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and have done so already to quite a few of my friends looking for new glazing for their homes.

We had used 1st Independent Windows for our front room bay window, and only wanted them to replace the bedroom bay. The measuring was done quickly at the time planned, the windows were ordered and fitted within a realistic timeframe. The window fitter did a phenomenal job, removing the old window and replacing with the new within a few hours. Additionally, the whole area inside and out was left immaculate; he brought his own Hoover to ensure no fragments of wood etc were left. The fit is great - no more draughts or road noise! But Hey, I didn’t expect anything else, as they are one of the few companies that have stood the test of time. Very efficient and courteous service. We had a new back door installed after we'd moved to a property that already had windows supplied by 1st Independent. The technician arrived well within the 8 week lead time we'd been quoted and he finished a very professional installation job in a couple of hours. Couldn't be happier.

Phil turned up on time, looked at what we required and gave us a very competing quote, with no pressure to accept. Gave us details of neighbouring properties we could visit to check their work, which we did. Kevin turned up on time to complete the actual measurements and did it within the timescale he said he would. Mike, the fitter, was just unbelievable turning up each day at 08-00 and finishing at 17-00/17-30 to make sure our property was secure each day. We have a period property and I was nervous about replacing the original crittal windows but the result is fabulous both from an aesthetic perspective and from an energy saving one.
