I have used First Stop many times for 2 different cars. I have also used a Ford dealer when I had a car under a used warrany. I took my car in to be serviced and they said it was too dirty and I needed to have it cleaned. I wasn't very happy at first. But when I googled it, it said they have a right to do this. I had to pay another place what I thought was a lot for a clean.. Again I googled it and it said this was in the normal range. When the service bill came it was lower than I expected. I realise I am out of touch. 1st stop were patient and reasonable with me. I must have seemed irritable. They were very professional. And they were right. Definitely going back again. Thanks guys.

I used 1st Stop Cars a year ago to diagnose a problem with my car and repair it, which they did. I was happy with the cost but was surprised a couple of days later when they contacted me to say I'd been overcharged and they needed to refund me. I was very impressed with their honesty and integrity so I took my car to them again recently for annual service, MOT and air con regas. I had been told by another garage who I'd taken my car to just for regassing that the air-conditioning system was faulty and the gas was just leaking out. 1st Stop Cars investigated and found that there was no fault with the system and the gas was being held. I was anticipating an expensive repair but again I was impressed with their honesty as they could have told me something was wrong and charged me unnecessarily. I'd have known no differently. I am very pleased and impressed with the service I have received both times. I used to use the garage 25+ years ago when they were in Union Lane and was happy with the standard of work then. Rick was so helpful and kept me updated with everything that needed doing before they did it. My car was ready earlier than they said it would be too. Excellent as always

Things were worked on well, I was informed what was needed before they carried it out. I had to have a new tyre on the front which they got for me so things were done in a couple of hours. they are always very help full and respectful

I have been going to 1st stop for quite a few years they have always treated me so well they have never made me feel silly for not knowing what I'm talking about. The customer service is fantastic the work is fantastic I cannot fault them in any way I can only praise them and thank them for always helping me when I need it.

Just the MOT today, but have used 1st stop for years. Always get an honest no pressure appraisal on work required. Very happy, would recommend.

I am a new customer to the team. My car broke down on the side of the road and 1st stop cars allowed me to have the car in the garage for over a week before they were able to look at it. They kept me informed at every step and where honest with regards to how much this would cost and what my options were at each stage. I will be going back to this garage. As a female with little car knowledge, I often felt that garages would take advantage, however this garage was not this way at all. Really lovely group of guys who have a passion for their job and take pride in looking after their customers at ever stage. I will be going back for servicing and MOT and would 100% rely on them if anything was to go wrong again.

my car needed brake pads and a new clutch picked it up Tuesday afternoon and was delivered back to me this morning been out in it and it runs like a new car brakes are great well done Kevin and the team at 1 stop highly recommended. Thanks a lot.

The MOT for my rare Brooke ME190 car was expiring at the end of July, so a renewal appointment was made with 1st Stop, as they had issued my previous MOT and had detailed knowledge of the car. I delivered the car in time for the scheduled inspection, and was met with a very positive welcome from all 1st Stop staff, who provided every assistance in entering the workshop, especially because the car is open top and rain had commenced. The MOT tester Rick was very patient, explained all processes clearly and carried out the MOT in a very thorough and professional manner, especially considering that the facility was new to the team, having recently relocated. A new MOT was issued. I rate this company very highly and recommend it to any persons requiring their services.

My car broke down at 5pm on a bank holiday weekend. Kevin at First Stop received the car on Tuesday and returned it to me on Thursday at 9am. Job done, no fuss. no problem.

Their charges are comparable with the option of on-line payment. They give good advice and are happy to explain to the less educated what their advice means! Went to this garage for an MOT after being let down by the previous garage I used. All I can say is I will only be using this garage in future noting was to much trouble really good communications , and will be returning this sat for a tyre sensor change.

I've been using 1st Stop since I started working nearby 20 years ago. My family also now take their cars there. I've just had my timing belt and drive belt changed, I dropped my van off 1st thing in the morning, and received a message at about 1:30 telling me it was ready to pick up. Great service from 1st Stop, and I can be confident that only necessary work will be carried out. If there's anything else that needs doing, or is recommended, they will contact you first to check if you want it done. Once you find a garage you can trust, there's no point going anywhere else. Such a quick and easy MOT from start to finish. Booked in online on the Wednesday for a slot on the Saturday, dropped my car off, popped out to do a few bits and was ready to pick up within an hour! Very friendly and efficient team, will definitely be using again!

This visit was just to do (my first) MOT on this car, but it followed up a full service a month ago. This is the third car Kevin and the team have looked after for me, and as always the work was totally in line with what they say they do. Work done was totally in line with what was needed, no more and no less. Where things were optional I was given the information needed to choose. Everything was completed on time, and I was as always very pleased with the experience
