GMS Kent are independent VW Group accredited specialists with vast experience and training on all makes and models of VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat cars. But, the good news is GMS will service any make and model of car - no matter how new or old you car is.

GMS Kent was formed by Simon in 2002, having spent many years working in a local main VW dealer they became disillusioned with the customer service and care people received and decided to do something about it – GMS was born. They only use genuine parts(or equivalent) and can undertake any work however large or small.

GMS Kent have serviced and repaired VW Group cars for many years. So, for car servicing in Maidstone, if you have a VW, Audi, Skoda or Seat you need look no further

I had booked my for it's yearly mot, which found that the tie-rods were both bent (I've hit too many potholes!), and a safety check. I was given an estimate of how much the necessary repairs would cost and was pleasantly surprised that the final cost was quite a bit less! Once again, as I have come to expect from many years as a customer, the service I received was 2nd to none from the friendly knowledgeable staff. Well Done Carol, Simon and Kevin

I arranged in person last week today’s oil change and aircon regas, very helpful when I explained I am caring for two elderly parents and working full time. Very accommodating giving me an early appointment of 0700. Met this morning Kevin the technician who was very polite and helpful throughout. I left the car with him and walked 10 minutes to The Village Hotel for a coffee and relax. Kevin texted on completion of the work and I returned. All work explained, no leaks found on the aircon pressure test. This man’s approach and communication skills put me at ease straight away. I can not fault his workmanship. I will need my cv boots replacing very soon, and I won’t hesitate to contact them for this work. Work carried out at the agreed price, very reasonable amount, cheaper than dealerships. Thanks Kevin be in contact soon for more work. Excellent throughout.

Over priced and charged for non fixing of issue. Second hand parts fitted and engine cover not fitted. Battery incorrectly fitted after repair.

We told you the full cost of the aircon repair prior to carrying out the work, the water leak was a diagnostic job and we charged you time taken and kept you informed of what we had or hadn't found, when you collected the car you knew exactly where the problem was. We only fitted a new part doing the aircon repair, a different part as the original part was no longer available from Audi but we used our experience to source a part that would do the job and solve the issue, we did explain to you that the side engine bay trim (not engine cover) could no be refitted as the mounting points were not on the new part. When you came to see me a week later and demanded a refund for the diagnostic repair or you would leave me bad reviews as your other mechanic had only taken 45 minutes to repair, I replied he may well have done as we had already told you where the problem was and he didn't have to look for it. You mentioned the battery being incorrectly fitted during our discussion so unprompted I called the technician who did the job over and I quote asked "did you have to remove the battery on the TT" to which he responded no. You then stated he wasnt telling the truth. I think your poor review is unjustified and has only been posted as I refused to be bullied/threatened as it's totally wrong.

I had a problem with a serious steering 'wobble' on Wednesday 1st Feb 2023. I rang the garage at 5pm that day to explain the problem. Without any hesitation I was asked to bring the car at 8am the next day Thursday 2nd Feb. to see what the problem was! They diagnosed a problem with the brake calipers ceased, worn disc and worn brake pads. When I asked for a date to rectify these problems, they said provided they could get the parts, that they would do the work that day! I was able to collect the car at 4pm that day. This was the best service I have ever received and cannot thank them enough. Brilliant service, good price, friendly staff and would certainly recommend GMS to others! RP

My car was in limp mode and I needed to get back home to Wales. I was panicking! I turned up without an appointment but my car was diagnosed straightaway. The outlook was potentially bleak but they did all they could to reassure me that it can be fixed. 24 hours later, it was and the bill was not nearly as bad as I had feared. I am confident now that whatever comes next with my VW, that I know of a garage I can trust to get me back on the road again. Thank you for everything, really appreciate the great service from all of you!

When I booked the service I needed a first appointment in the morning so that I could get back to work as soon as possible. This was no problem and a convenient date was agreed. On the day of the service I was welcomed and was able to leave the car with GMS without a problem. The service was completed within the time I was told it would take and I was able to be on my way. GMS are a friendly, professional and knowledgable company who I would be happy to recommend. Very happy with the service I received.

Couldn’t stress more of what a lovely and helpful team of people this garage are. Going above and beyond to do whatever it took to complete the work for my car. I had multiple complications with my motor and especially my Warranty company being so difficult to communicate with, but Carol and Simon went out of their way to give me the best experience and supporting me with all of it. The work was done quicker than expected and to the best of standards! Squeezing me in multiple times for checkups and just for reassurance. No job too big bothered them, and always found time to discuss everything thoroughly. They definitely care about every single one of their customers and treat you not just like a friend but more like family. I will never go anywhere else guaranteed!

What a joy it is to be able to completely trust this wonderful company. My husband and I and daughter have been using their services for some years. They have always been totally honest, efficient and great to deal with. Today I was in a distressed state as I had driven over a concrete block that I couldn't see. When I was eventually free of this obstacle the noise from under the car of something that had become loose was quite worrying to say the least. I telephone GMS as soon as they were open and was advised to come immediately. Cannot express my joy when it was looked at as soon as I arrived and within 15 minutes mended. They refused any payment as it was a very simple job. I trust and rely on this company especially since my husband has died and I am having to deal with the servicing of my car. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I had a persistent coolant leak that suddenly became more urgent on my VW Polo. I phoned Simon at GMS after another local garage could not do the work for a week, and recommended I try them. This was on a Friday, and I was booked in for the Monday. At all times Simon kept me up to date with what work needed doing, and the cost including VAT. I collected my Polo on the Monday afternoon with all work completed to the highest standard, and at a VERY fair price. I would just like to thank Simon and his team for such a professional and friendly service, and would recommend GMS to my friends and family.

How can a car 𝘯𝘰𝘸 pass an M.O.T. when a year ago the same car had urgent advisories (that were never attended to)? Answer: the previous test centre - a famous high street chain no less - were more keen to get additional business than being honest and objective. GMS came recommended and it is nice to see it was well-founded - my car was passed for M.O.T. (in the condition I brought it in) and without any contrived costs for this, that and the other being trumped up. Those phantom advisories the previous centre made up clearly never came to pass. [Obviously] I would not wish there to be issues with the car and GMS not bring them up but that they gave it a clean bill of health has made my year because I was dreading it failing and was preparing to sell it if the repairs too extensive. As it turned out though, GMS were honest, thorough and explanatory and I shall consider them in the future. p.s. This is now only my 2nd car in 30 years to pass an M.O.T. without at 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 a light bulb needing replacing.
