I was contacted by the owner of the property and asked how much it would cost to re cover his flat roof over the front bay, he immediately added that he would be moving in the near future and did not wish to spend a lot of money, I advised him that to overlay the felt onto the old felt would be the cheapest way to solve the leaks, he then asked me to supply and fit gutters to the front of the house which we did, shortly after we finished the work he said how glad he was not to have any leaks and could now remove the large blue tarp from the front of his house as it no longer leaked. at this point I sent the invoice which he did not pay, saying he was not happy with the flat roof as he said there was no fall to allow water to drain, we went back and added more felt to one side in a graduated pattern to build up one side, no extra charge, he then paid half of the bill he then said he would take a look when he got a chance, we waited, eventually he said he was not happy again that the water was not draining through the outlet, but the outlet was the original as was the base roof, I pointed out that he did not want to pay for a new roof base but just a cover, the client wants to pay for a repair but expects a new roof, I have tried to meet with him to find a way to please both sides but he refuses, I hope this episode does not deter you from choosing A&A roofing as this is the first negative review we have ever received.
