Founded in 1966, A J Rogers and Sons is the leading carpet and flooring company, based in South London. We are a family run business celebrating over 50 years with a reputation built on personal service, professionalism and most importantly, quality.
Peter and Trevor Rogers, sons of founder Anthony, take a hands-on approach to running the business, and share an in-depth knowledge of flooring, materials and installation techniques.
These skills remain core to the operating values of the company, and we are fairly unique in that we employ our own in-house teams of highly trained fitters to ensure a perfect installation for you every time.

Excellent work restoring a wooden floor and it does look good. They cleaned up the Amtico to a good standard too, whilst we were away, but did leave a large machine in the kitchen, found on our return. We also had two bedroom and the living room carpets cleaned. This was very expensive, over £450, and not done to a high standard as marks were left on the bedroom carpet that were not there before. I was naive enough to think they may move some furniture when cleaning the living room carpet. They did come back promptly and clean again when asked but for that price I was disappointed. Shame they did not spot the dirty mark under the standard lamp where the cat sits! I moved the furniture the second time.

We've used AJ Roger's recently for both new wooden flooring and a stair carpet. Both times the teams that came to do the work were extremely professional and friendly and went above and beyond to do the work. The work was finished to a very high standard and left in an immaculate condition. They also recommend improvements which were much appreciated and made the final product look even better! I would defintely recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use again. The range of products they stock and their experience and service, means you won't be disappointed and can trust them to do a fantastic job!

Long story short: the carpet was faulty and had to be reordered. The fitters noticed the faults and took the carpet away. Most good companies can manage doing what is asked of them. It's when things go wrong that you see how their systems fail - even when they think they have a great customer response team. Well, I'm glad to say that A J Rogers proved not only that they can do a great job but that when it went wrong they could sort it out pretty efficiently. It took time and it meant we had several weeks where we lived with two rooms of furniture in one room while we waited for the replacement carpet. But, in the end they got there. Now a good carpet is fitted and looks good. Hats off to how they handled this. Hopefully we'll be using them again.

The whole experience of having new stair and landing carpet for our 4 storey house was very well managed by all the staff of AJ Rogers, from the initial enquiry, estimating and measuring up, stripping out the old carpet and laying. AJ Rogers are a very professional and friendly people to deal with. From helping with colour selection through to selection and installation everything went very smoothly.They made light of moving 5m rolls to a 3rd floor apartment including removing all old carpets and moving all furniture. Absolutely delighted with the result especially the sewing of joints.

Dealing with A.J.Rogers was a good experience. Initially I had to make a couple of trips because even though I was making a scheduled visit to the shop, all the wood samples were not available. Scheduling the work Friday to Tuesday to accommodate my having a bookcase put up in the back lounge worked a treat. The installers were a pleasure to have in the house. They did an excellent job of installing the flooring in the alcoves around the fireplace, even when one had to hold up a piece of furniture whilst the other laid the flooring (wires are running under the floor to speakers in two directions). I am very pleased with the workmanship and the result.

We decided to replace all our bedroom carpets and used A J Rogers who had fitted carpets for us in the past and done a good job. The showroom staff were helpful, and let us take various samples home to decide what to have. They also alerted us to the various widths of carpet, and which would be best for each room (to avoid wastage). They also visited to measure the rooms and give us accurate estimates, and advised on dealing with bumps and hollows in the floor. The fitters arrived on time, and did a good job fitting the carpet. Very happy with the result.

PJ Rogers and Sons has completed several flooring jobs for us over the years and on this occasion, the largest yet, we had most of our downstairs and kitchen refloored in two different styles of Amtico. From our initial visit to the showrooms in Bromley, to the final sign off, the service we received was superb. We were shown various options for the flooring and allowed to take several testers away with us, the site survey was comprehensive and the flooring work, which took a full five days, was to a very high level of workmanship. Sam and his team were pleasant to deal with, meticulous in their finishing touches and even helped with the moving of heavier furniture items. We would have no hesitation in recommending this local family run firm, just excellent.

We had a few problems with the installation of our herringbone floor - all caused by suppliers and not AJ Rogers - but we really appreciated the excellent customer service we received, including problem solving and snagging, and we are now enjoying a beautiful floor expertly fitted.
