Welcome to APG Domestic Services Ltd. We have been providing reliable heating, plumbing and electrical services for over 22 years for customers in Lancashire.

We are proud that our customers regularly tell us that we are a reliable and trustworthy company.

Quotation visit by Chris immediately following my call to the company in September, doing a complete survey and making recommendations. Suggested date of December 1st for work to begin - Howard arrived at 8:00 a.m. on Dec 1st. Carpets covered, and old bath removed that day. All refuse disposed of tidily and new unit components delivered by colleagues as required. All completed with a friendly smile and professionalism. Work completed by 4th December and everything left as tidy as though it had never happened. The cost was exactly as the quotation. I heartily recommend this company to anyone requiring high quality, friendly, and professional service.

I rang for a quote and Chris came out the next day. He was able to offer me a date for the work within 8 days which was fantastic. The guys that came to fit my new radiators were very organised and paid attention to detail, covering my carpets to prevent any stains. Everything was done within just a couple of hours and they cleaned up afterwards. I was confident that all had been done to a very high standard.

good work installing internet-connected central heating controller

Arrived on time with prior call to let me know he was coming. I wanted a Drayton Wiser control system fitting to my Combi boiler (-replacing a wireless Honeywell system). Work done quickly, neatly and with a full explanation of wht he was doing and why. When he had complete it I had a second thought about the exact location of the controller and it was no problem for him to nove it, even though it did involve some extra work. (He moved it from the loft space to the bedroom wall).He made sure it all worked correctly and that I could understand the controller phone app. The invoice was for the amount initially agreed even though the work took a bit longer due to my change of mind!!

Bathroom update

In my new property my main bathroom had a bath but no shower. APG has installed a shower over the bath and added tiles to those existing. I was kept informed of the timetable by Chris, a very friendly and helpful man, and the work was carried out by James who has left me with a much better bathroom than I honestly anticipated. The work was done so efficiently and everywhere was left clean and tidy, everyone I came into contact with was friendly and helpful, and the price was certainly competitive. I totally recommend this firm and will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

My elderly mum’s boiler was leaking… I live in another part of the country, so I couldn’t attend myself. APG were there within 30 minutes! Chris was excellent - diagnosed the problem, created a temporary fix till the heating engineer could repair the boiler the next day. He even offered to go around later at night if my mum had any further issues. The job was completed the next day for a fair price. If every company were as good as this…!

Boiler Replacement

APG replaced our old conventional boiler with a combi. It was not an easy project since this is a 1960s house and has had several extensions before our time, each involving a mod to the plumbing. Since the pipework had to be modified to suit the new system, this created problems which were eventually solved with hard work and skill. Likewise, the electrical system has been modified, and the electrician had to be called to disconnect the supply to the old immersion heater now not needed. The old tanks and redundant pipework in the loft were removed and disposed of. We now have a more efficient and neater installation, better pressure to the shower and hot taps, and no water locks, which were frequent with the old vented system. All the staff we had dealings with were pleasant, eager to help, and competent. I have no problems recommending this company.

Great experience. Issues with solar system and guy who attended was knowledgeable and spotted the issue immediately. Quote was produced within a day. Inverter replaced and although it didn't initially solve the issue it was rectified a few days later. All engineer visits were when they said they would attend and as I don't live at the property they agreed to phone when the engineer was on the way so I could drive to meet him. Cost of replacing inverter was as per quote. Engineer kept me informed of process during visits. Would highly recommend.

The plumber arrived on time, was friendly and professional, ensuring all worked as it should, and cleaned up after changing the tap. There was a good selection of good-quality taps to choose from, which included a 5-year guarantee. Really impressed by the professionalism of this company, who I have used on several occasions.

The engineers are great - shame they are poor at answering emails

This company service my boiler annually and have always been brilliant. Turn up on time and do a good job. Recently we had a boiler leak so I contacted the company by phone and an engineer was dispatched promptly. He diagnosed the problem and contacted head office to order a spare part. I received a quote via email and replied (as instructed) to go ahead and order the part. A week later I had heard nothing so I phoned again, received an apology that they had not ordered the part and was given a date to complete the repair. Again the engineer turned up and replaced the part promptly. 2 days later I received an invoice and payed online immediately. I answered the invoice email with a request for a receipt and again have heard nothing. Does anyone answer emails at APG??

We strive to maintain high standards across all areas of our business, and we’re sorry that, on this occasion, our communication fell short of expectations. To provide a bit of context, our office is fully manned Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, and we also operate an on-call service for emergencies outside of these hours. We handle over 100 emails each day, and while we aim to respond to every enquiry promptly, there are rare instances where delays can occur or e mail's are not found in Junk / Spam folders. If you can get in touch directly I can do a search on your e mail address and locate the missing e mails to find out why they were not responded to. Domestic Heating & Water System Upgrades - Excellent Service

We've been Gold Star Service customers for a few years now and have got to know the APG team well. It all started with the fitting of a new ATAG boiler, which I have to say has been first rate. Well worth the investment. Thereafter, APG have maintained our Central Heating (CH) system annually, on time, and without fuss. Because our CH system is 38 years old we had APG fit new rad thermostats throughout. All now working perfectly. More recently, we asked them to complete 3 other upgrades i.e. replacement of a kitchen mixer tap, a failed shower-pump replacement and a heated towel rail replacement. All three jobs had constraints and needed shared thinking on how to address them. I found the managers and staff were really helpful in this regard. It took a little time to get things organised, but the combination of skills and positive attitude has won the day. My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending APG as a provider of choice. Well done and thanks to all, especially to the two Chris's, Darren and Les.

Excellent & very professional service by very knowledgeable; flexible; friendly, honest and hardworking professionals. They removed a very old boiler at my parents house; relocated & replaced it with a new much more efficient boiler, with wireless control. We were kept informed of progress and had the water back on during the afternoon of the first day. They also responded very promptly to an out of hours query over the weekend, which is very reassuring. Very glad we chose APG and would certainly recommend them without hesitation.

Can't say a bad word - from the quote by Chris to arranging the installation was all a very smooth process. Our previous boiler had been purchased 18 years ago so I think we had definitely had our moneys worth! The guys who came on both days were very efficient, courteous and cleaned up after they had left. We had one previous quote from a large well known company which was almost twice the price! So glad we went with APG and would certainly recommend them without hesitation

Hello, We are very sorry you have not received the normal high standard expected of APG. As you can see from our history we rarely receive less than 5* . Unfortunately in your case we did struggle and had 2 members of staff both on leave due to sickness on the dates your job was booked in. We tried our best on the second instance to get someone to you as soon as possible, but appreciate this was later than the advised time of 8am. Once again we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

My boiler went bust suddenly. Within a week Chris came out and priced the job and it was fitted. What was impressive was the finish - most workman don't know what that word means. The two fitters fixed a three way arm and join two pipes together outside, which made it look much better - I didn't even need to ask. The electrician, at my request, put the fuse switch under the boiler, an unusual request, but which gave me more cupboard space. The holes of the old boiler were filled with concrete without asking. The boiler was place higher than normal at my request. They always tidied up, and removed all rubbish/unused parts. The computerised timer applications were explained clearly and curteously, important when you are 73. There was no drama, the fitters just got on with their job. And they praised my choice of an ATAG boiler, definitely not the cheapest, but the only one now with metal inner moving parts. Thus an 18 year parts and labour warranty is a really good deal (not something I usually pay for). I don't expect to ever have to buy another one before I pass. What were the most reliable brands now use plastic moving parts - they often break after 5 years. All in all, a good experience, I would recommend the workers to all of you.
