Water leaked onto the kitchen ceiling of my fathers house causing a portion of the ceiling to collapse and left a dripping bulge in the plaster above. It happened just before Christmas day so I had to wait until Wednesday before New Years Eve. When I phoned AP Ward I wasn't very optimistic I would get a reply, but Tony answered almost immediately. He agreed to meet me at my fathers house on the Saturday morning. He arrived right on time and we discussed the best way to proceed. We thought it was caused by a leaking pipe, and I received a quote two days later. Tony replies to emails or Whatsap messages, often within minutes. A date was set for repairs about a week later. The job turned out to be rather more complicated than expected and Tony asked if I could meet him again on site to go through what was involved. As I could only get over at weekends he agreed to meet me on the Sunday, which I think is very impressive. Tony sent a new quote very quickly and ordered scaffolding because it now involved work on the kitchen roof. Despite rain almost every day they managed to get the job done quickly. Tony is very helpful and communication is excellent. Although they were very busy they managed to get my job done quickly and efficiently. I was happy with the quote, but the final invoice actually came in below that price. Again impressive. I would definitely recommend AP Ward Ltd.

I use A P Ward to undertake building type work which I would have undertaken myself when younger. This time was vacuum gutter cleaning for a difficult to access gutter. Previously replacing an external duct fitting at 1st floor level and cleaning/sealing a length of 1st floor guttering. I will call on their services again when I have the need.

I have used AP Ward Building Services on previous occasions and have always been happy with the friendly and helpful service received. I have just had my bathroom repaired by them after water damage from upstairs flat and I am very happy with the result. I intend using their services again for various work in the near future. I have been using AP Ward for many years now, for interior & exterior painting & decorating, guttering and chimney repairs, electrical works, garden clearance and also most recently repairing my conservatory roof. Tony and his team are always courteous and professional and have delivered perfectly every time. They are always my first port of call for any kind of work on my house and property.

We first used A.P.Ward Building Services in 2022 having seen the reviews on Which? Trusted Trader. They lived up to the reviews and did a fantastic job with our daughters flat complete refurb. More recently Tony and his team have done some flooring work for us, preparing the base and laying the new LVT flooring. On both the occasions the work has been to a very high standard, communication has been prompt whenever we contacted Tony and quotes have been clear, accurate and as expected. As well as being clean and tidy in their work they are reliable, honest, trustworthy and really nice guys as well.

Tony has been extremely helpful in replacing a badly leaning shower screen, broken bath plug and replacement of inappropriate electrical fittings for the shower. He and his colleagues are always extremely helpful, patient and reliable.

Tony provided an excellent service again and I would highly recommend this company. He promptly responded to my query, made time to do the repair within a quick timeframe and gave me a thorough explanation of what the problem was. We first found Tony through Which? several years ago, and AP Ward has been our ‘go to’ building company ever since. Tony and his team (including Jim, Paul and Justin) have just completed fitting a new kitchen for us, which involved stripping out the old kitchen, making building alterations, fully replastering the ceiling and walls, plus levelling the floor. Tony and his team are always a pleasure to have around, their work ethic is great, and their tidiness assured. The quote was detailed, accurate, and we were able to change things as we went along, with Tony always keen to take our views and questions on board, and quick to come back at the end to make a couple of adjustments. One of the real advantages of using Tony is the way he just organises everything from start to finish – and on this occasion, that involved him working effectively with a kitchen design company which he had not worked with before.
