Anthony and his team repaired our fascias and soffits and cleaned out the gutters and down-pipes. They replaced one part of the fascia board which had rotted. Also, we'd had a small leak in our extension roof for some time. They opened it up to where it met the house wall and replaced the defective membrane before re-positioning all the tiles. They also replaced a few defective tiles and re-pointed where the extension roof met the house wall. They are professional, friendly and efficient and I would highly recommend.

Anthony did two roofing jobs for us. He certainly knows his trade and did a very professional and thorough job each time. Really nice guy and team. Competitively priced work. Definitely recommend him.

Mr Teale is a which? local legend. He was very friendly to us, our kids, and the neighbors - it always makes it so much easier to have the work done. Repointed, lead flashings, on 2 chimneys, replaced lead valleys, and put deep fill gutter over front door - not cheap, but definitely good value given the quality of his work. Did a great job.

I can understand why Anthony Teale has such a large number of recommendations. I contacted him by 'phone to carry out a job inspection (a leaky porch roof which had defeated two previous attempts at cure). He arrived as per schedule, had the ladder out, a couple of rows of tiles off and spotted the trouble before we had taken a second breath! He calculated a quote for a "full repair" (as opposed to a patch-up ) and fixed a mutually convenient date to do the job. He arrived 5 minutes before scheduled and quickly had all hands to the plough (he & his two mates). They all worked very efficiently. moved one or two plants &c. out of the way, & cleared up afterwards. Not exactly cheap, but very reasonable and efficient. Yes. I can wholeheartedly recommend this firm!

As his business had already been highly recommended by others on Which Local, I asked Anthony Teale to quote to completely renovate and waterproof our chimneys on our 1920s house. The advice he gave, the quotation (extremely competitive), the service, the work and the aftercare was all absolutely excellent. He even arranged for the scaffolding to be left up for an unlimited time at no extra charge, so I could paint the side of the house and repair my guttering. The fact that Anthony has had 33 further recommendations since I first recommended him in September 2007 says it all. Everyone says he is efficient, professional, does a quality job and takes pride in his work. He is very friendly and explains exactly what he is doing and invites you to contact him if there are further problems. Good value and reliable.

I called Anthony after reading several good reviews on this site regarding a leak on my flat roof which was caused by a poor job done by a "roofer" who replaced our flat roof last year. Anthony came and advised that the problem was due to a badly fitted felt and quoted a price for recovering part of the felt on the roof. We are very happy with the job Anthony did and although the cost was a little high he has made the roof leak free and that was what mattered most. I would have no hesitation upon recommending him and will be using him again

I called Antony after reading the review on this website. I had a rainwater down pipe which had become loose as well as some loose lead flashing. I was not in the house, when Anthony came round to look at the job. Antony contacted me over the phone, I was given a quote and I had the work completed immediately. Antony did a neat job, the site was left tidy and his prices were reasonable. I found Antony pleasant ad easy to work with.

I rang Anthony regarding a leak in my kitchen roof. He came around and sent me very quickly a detailed quote of what needed to be done and the cost. I had to wait a couple of weeks as he was very busy with other jobs but promised to ring me in two weeks to arrange a time which he did. He completed the work in one day as he promised with the help of two assistants. The site was left very clean and tidy. Anthony and his team were very friendly and efficient. the pricing was a little high because he is a VAT registered.

Strong winds caused damage to our ridge tiles. I contacted Anthony because of his excellent feedback on here. The work was completed less than 24 h after I sent the text message. An excellent job was done and the cost was considerably lower than alternative quotations. Highly recommended!

Anthony replaced some roofing tyles and re-pointed 3 chimneys. His quote detailed exactly what was to be done. The work was done in an efficient manner and the site left tidy. An invoice was sent for payment (of the quoted ammount) after the work was completed. Although Anthony's quote was not the cheapest, his friendliness, explanation of the work to be done and then reporting on the work carried out was more than worth the extra.

I rang Anthony Teale on 26/9/11 leaving a message on his answer phone asking him to contact me re minor guttering and roofing repairs I needed doing. Anthony rang back that evening promising to call around next day. He rang next morning saying he had just finished a job in the area and could be with me in five minutes. He arrived as promised, looked at the job which involved replacing two roof tiles to the front of the house, replacing a section of high level guttering at the rear of the house, replacing approx six slates to a section of roofing at the rear of the house and clearing all the gutters. Anthony surprised me by saying he was able to do the job there and then as he carried guttering, slates and tiles in his van. He and his two young assistants then proceeded to carry out all the requested repairs and gutter clearing for the very reasonable quoted price of £108 incl VAT. Anthony and his team were polite, professional in their approach and left me feeling satisfied that the job had been done well. Anthony invited me to recontact if there were any further problems. I will not hesitate to use him again .

There are 8 flats in our building. We have had trouble with the guttering overflowing for the 4 years since the flats were built and other roofers have failed to identify the actual problem. We spotted Anthony in Which Local and he came along promptly, disagnosed the problem and identified the solution, gave us a clear, written quote and came along and did the work a few days later. He has since helped us with another part of the building. He is a very efficient workman with reasonable rates and clear pricing. I will keep his details in case we need him at our new address in the future.

Great service! Removed a pigeon nest, which I can imagine is an awful job, but was cheerful none the less. Done the job quickly, cheaply and earlier than estimated. He actually also sealed the hole where the pigeon lived and painted over it and replaced a lose tile! What I particularly liked is that he was very open about what costs what and why, so we were not surprised by any of the costs. We used him in late winter/early spring, so 25th of March is an estimation :)

This roofer responded quickly to my request for a quote to re-lead a roof valley. The quote was fair and similar to other quotes. He did the job a few days later. He came when I was out at work and had cleared up and gone before I returned. Very neat clean job. I am pleased with his work

Anthony responded rapidly to my request for an estimate for roof repairs, and then speedily arranged to do the job. I was very pleased with work, so I also asked him to replace my guttering. He was happy to fit in with the times when I was available, and he and his team were quick workers, friendly, helpful, and tidy. We needed a large flat roof replaced. Mr Teale did a survey and gave advice on what was needed. The work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Mr Teale returned to add more chippings when he saw the depth was not sufficient. A thorough job and everything was left clean and tidy.

My guttering had failed at the back of my home, the whole section needed to be replaced and I had noticed that some tiles looked to be loose. I asked Anthony for a quote and based on the estimate I decided to proceed with the work. Following many excellent reviews here I asked Anthony to give me an estimate to repair a leaking flat garage roof last covered 20 years ago. He advised the leaking areas could be patched but given the roof's age a full replacement would be a better option. His estimate was higher than I expected but he did a thoroughly professional job and even pointed out a problem with a waste pipe. He arranged for a plumber to visit the same morning and replace the pipe. He explained how he would seal the roof felt into the brickwork mortar which the previous roofer hadn't done. His team of 3 were polite and friendly and cleaned up after them. I am very pleased with the quality of work they have done for me.

Explained the mechanics behind each action, took photos to show what work had been done (even offered us to get up the ladder and look ourselves). I'd not had roofing work done before and assumed I'd have to babysit the roofer, but because he didn't need access to the house he came round and had a look at the roof and what needed doing.He was in good contact by phone and sent a detailed printed quotation through to me.We arranged a mutually convenient time for the work to be carried out, which again didn't require my presence, and was nearly straight away.After the work was done, there was no sign (from the ground) that he'd even been there, but there was also no water leaking into the front bedroom any more.I received the invoice in the post (not straight away, but maybe a week after), and I sent a cheque off two or three weeks later.

Having read about a similar problem to minethat Anthony had dealt with I knew this was the man for the job. I was further reasured by thr name Teale (as in duck). Hence my leak would be fixed! as it happens, Anthony was unable to solve my problem but recommended someone who could. Polite, honest and helpful, not to mention early!

Would echo the comments in previous recommendations. Really good courteous and friendly service from Anthony, work carried out quickly and with no fuss, actually worked out cheaper than original quote as not as much work needed as he originally thought.

Turned up on time both to price the job and to do the work. Good advice about the work which needed doing. Written quote supplied and invoice sent 1 week after finishing. Plenty of rain since has given the work a severe test which it passed with flying colours.

Anthony didn't do the usual 'sharp intake of breath' act when he saw our flat roof, nor did he treat me as a naive woman desperate to give all her money to the nearest builder. We've used this roofer twice in the last year. He turned up on the day and at the time arranged and did an excellent job both times. After the first job (repointing etc around a chimney that was causing damp on the wall in the attic) he left the scaffolding up for three weeks just in case he hadn't solved the problem, at no extra charge. When he assessed the second job (a leak around a skylight) he found several other problems and fixed them at the same time. A young man, but with a old-fashioned idea of service!
