Steve was very kind to come out in an emergency when we were locked out late in the evening with a small child. He got us in very quickly service with a smile. Could not recommend highly enough.

Excellent Service. I sent an email request for a lock replacement and had a speedy reply and reasonable quote for the repairs. I was informed a new lock may not cure the problem and gave advice on the problem. They did not try to take unnecessary business and I will definitely use them if I need to change my lock. What they don’t know is I’m blind and must rely on honest decent trades people. Would definitely recommend.

VAT charges were DELIBERATELY hidden on the quote. They only spell out their charge and inform you there will be a VAT (in my case all I got on the quote was £??? + VAT) thus deceptively leaving out the exact VAT charges. The whole idea of a quote (and everyone knows this) is for clients to know exactly what they would need to pay IN TOTAL, so I think deliberately concealing the VAT charges (of which they know the exact costs at the time of preparing the quote) is a possible attempt at misleading clients. If everything was spelt out in black and white, I would then decide to either go with it or get a cheaper quote. The work was generally good...took over an hour to fix a deadlock but the job was great and the cleaning up was perfect. The handyman was great with customer service, boundaries and in handling the overall task. I will not use their service ever again and would not recommend it to anyone unless they go fully transparent with their full charges.

There are very few words to express my gratitude after engaging their service! I have reached out for help after being shamefully scammed by one of those pretended locksmiths. Mr. Steve and his apprentice came within the hour and offered all the help I needed to change the locks, fix the door, sort out all the mess the others left behind. I am now feeling safe in my own house thanks to their service! In this situation, what mattered to me was not only the impeccable service they have executed, but also the empathy and advising offered to someone in need. I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to them if ever in need!

I contacted Abbey Gate as I had been charged 771 pounds for an emergency locksmith and needed an independent locksmith to provide an alternative quote to proceed with Trading Standards. They were very helpful and provided me with not just a quote but lots of extra information. They are extremely professional and are fairly priced and I so wish I had used them in the first place as I would have saved many hundreds of pounds and they would, I am sure, have done an excellent job.

Leaving this review on behalf of my aged parents. Steve Underwood was knowledgeable and extremely helpful when I was supporting my parents in deciding on an appropriate replacement safe. Their costs were very reasonable and my parents described the service they received as ‘delightful’, despite the removal of the old safe being a bit tricky and the house being awkward. My mother asked me to give the company ‘top score for every aspect of the installation’. I can’t thank you enough for your expertise and professionalism.

Contacted Abbey Gate after my father-in-law was charged £720 to access his premises leaving the key in the lock. Abbey Gate were extremely professional providing advice about the invoice we had received and the genuine costs to carry out such work. The company received no direct business from us, but this demonstrates the high customer service and care they offer to customers. Will certainly be using if we need a genuine locksmith again. Thank you Abbey Gate - just wish contact was made before the 'rogue locksmith' was contacted.

Lifesavers! Who puts their key in the postbox with the post box key in it- me. I was so lost and didn't know what to do. I spoke to Perry who came out very quickly, with another lovely gentleman ,and got the keys out quickly. I did not feel judged and the guys were lovely. Would Highly recommend Abbey Gate locksmiths- they will certainly be my choice going forward.

Made one phone call to arrange a time and cost to attend and open a security lock. The work was carried out on time and at the price quoted very pleased with his service and will be happy to recommend to others.

I accidentally locked myself on a Sunday morning and my door key was left inside the front door. Steve Underwood arrived within 20 minutes of my call, he was able to rescue me very quickly by opening my front door.
