Abbeywood Removals

Appeared like a swarm of locus, the plan – pack most before tomorrow, the move day, but enthusiasm overtook the packing and we were whisked along with it all and before you could say “lets move” we where mostly packed. So why not complete and we will be out a day early so we find a friend to lodge with over night. The next day and 100 miles later we find ourselves outside the new home with two lorries and now have to patiently wait for the legals to do their best to complete. A couple of hours later we are in, beds are zapped upstairs, boxes deposited all over the house and garden bits squeezed into sheds and away – we are in. Efficient, pleasant and professional – what more can I say

We utilised Abbey wood for our recent home move and also used their packing service. The Abbeywood team arrived the day before our move, they arrived on time. Initially we only had one packer but as the morning moved on eventually we had at least six, meaning that we were all packed before lunch. On the day of the move a team of six were present to load the lorries and we were on the move by 11am. The entire team were well presented, polite and had a great sense of humour. Once we were allowed into the new house we were unloaded within 2 hours and had no damage or breakages. My wife and I would have no concerns recommending Abbeywood. This is the second time that we've used Abbeywood, and yet again they did an amazing job for us - from start to finish. Adrian and Paula were a pleasure to deal with in the run-up to move day, and on this move, they were incredibly patient as exchange and completion dates took longer than anticipated to confirm - they were life savers! When the team arrived to pack and move us, they were all nothing short of brilliant. Professional, friendly and above all, totally obliging - nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Even when completion was massively delayed on move day, the team did not show any sign of frustration, and when we eventually received the keys, the team just cracked on with the same great humour we had seen all day. For us, there is only one company we would ever use to move - Abbeywood. Just a big thank you to everyone at Abbeywood.

We booked the removers which was quick and easy. A gentleman came round and explained how everything would work on removal day so made it all very easy. Liam and his gang came promptly on the 27th February and emptied our house in 4 hours. Next morning they reappeared on the Isle of Wight at the correct and unloaded the vans very speedily. At all times they were polite and courteous. Their packing was wonderful and nothing was broken! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

We used Abbeywood to move us from Aylesbury to North Wales - a 2 day move. Their quote was competitive and they worked with us on a completion date despite having to change the date several times. The crew on the day were fantastic - friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Access at our new house was a bit tight but the crew just got on with it and delivered all our possessions in good time and with care. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We used Abbeywood only recently and the team were brilliant from the quoting stage right through to completion. We used the pre packaging service as well as the removal service and it was worth its weight in gold! The team who we had carried out both services made us feel at ease and treated the items like it was their very own. More importantly they were really friendly to talk to and flexible to our needs. We used Abbeywood Removals on three separate occasions: first, a major move of most of our furniture and possessions into storage; second, moving from a temporary residence in north Oxfordshire into our new home in Hampshire; and third, the delivery of our possessions in storage to our new residence a week after we moved. I can only report that on each occasion, the different teams of packers (we had the full packing service) were brilliant: super efficient, hardworking , helpful and courteous, my wife and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the manner in which they eased the burden and stress of moving house. Moreover, they did all this at a very competitive price. Overall, Abbeywood provided a 5-star service. Indeed, I cannot praise them highly enough.

This is the second time we have used Abbeywood to move house, the first being 7 years ago. We opted both times for the packing service which was a god send. The team worked hard packing up our possessions the day before the move ready for an early start on moving day. Come moving day, they arrived early and in just a few hours they had moved the contents of our 4 bed family home to our new home 30 minutes away and by midday, they had unloaded our items into our new home whilst we were still at our old house giving it a good clean ready for our buyers to move into. They were incredibly organised and efficient and made what would usually be a daunting experience, seem effortless! We were so impressed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to others.

From start to finish Abbeywood stood out as a professional and efficient company. Once we had decided to move home we had a leaflet through the door advertising their services with a handy checklist of things to address when moving. Out of four companies we had quotes from, they were the only one to send a representative to the house to assess our needs - all the others did a zoom call. They were flexible with timings, and were able to accommodate our moving date with ease. They provided us with boxes, wrapping paper and tape and offered a packing service if required. On the day they brought four medium sized vans rather than a massive lorry, and packed up our whole house in about 2 hours! The team were very friendly and efficient moving some very heavy furniture through some difficult spaces! Very many thanks to the team for an excellent day's work and for making our transition so easy!
