We used Abbeywood to move us from Oxfordshire to North Wales. The estimate was competitive. We used the packing service and everything was packed carefully and efficiently; they are experienced so they know what to leave until last and take great care over precious or delicate items. They arrived on time at collection and destination and unloaded the vans with equal care, checking where each box or item was to go (and they label all the boxes). Their use of small vans makes things much easier too and means they can get onto normal driveways etc. The staff are very friendly, helpful and experienced. They really care about the level of service they provide, which is excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them without reservation.

We were so impressed with Abbeywood from the initial visit by Adrian until our move in. We did our own packing but were supplied with plenty of boxes, tape and paper. I sold my house in Guildford October 2020 in the height of Covid epidemic . Abbeywood were wonderful in moving my belongings into their storage dropping off items in Buckingham where I am a full time carer. Last week almost 2 years 9 months later they moved my belongings out of their storage and Buckingham to Godalming. I couldn’t fault them. Everything looked as it did before. Incredible. The Abbeywood team were so helpful on both occasions , careful, considerate and taking time. Grandfather clock well packaged. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Abbeywood.

Honestly, when it comes to moving house, dont skimp on the removal team. The Abbeywood Team turned up with boxes and packing paper a plenty, swept through the house packing and demounting furniture like a very polite swarm of removal locusts and before we say “fancy a coffee”, they were all packed on the lorries. They were professional, courteous and diligent, clearly labelling all the boxes, so that unpacking was super easy. More importantly, they have muscles in the right places and never appear to tire !! Not a single item broken; not a single item mislaid. Just brilliant service and worth every penny !! Well done Abbeywood.

This is the second time we have used Abbeywood to move house, the first being 7 years ago. We opted both times for the packing service which was a god send. The team worked hard packing up our possessions the day before the move ready for an early start on moving day. Come moving day, they arrived early and in just a few hours they had moved the contents of our 4 bed family home to our new home 30 minutes away and by midday, they had unloaded our items into our new home whilst we were still at our old house giving it a good clean ready for our buyers to move into. They were incredibly organised and efficient and made what would usually be a daunting experience, seem effortless! We were so impressed. Abbeywood Removals arrived promptly at 8 am. Two men and two small trucks. I was nervous on the day as I was moving by myself. I had no other help apart from the two removal men. They started upstairs and I followed behind cleaning the rooms. I particularly liked the fact that we had agreed to take the ottoman beds down and put them back up in the new house. I was trying to keep up following behind and before I knew it they had completely taken everything out of the house. I was worried about the settees as they were large and heavy. They were taken away with ease. I also had a cycle, large freezers, and a trials motorcycle. All loaded on the truck with ease. By 11 am they had completely cleared out my house and then travelled up to the new house. At the other end just as efficient and by early afternoon I had completely moved into my new house. Hassle free, with no concerns. The removal men were polite and courteous at all times.

We booked the removers which was quick and easy. A gentleman came round and explained how everything would work on removal day so made it all very easy. Liam and his gang came promptly on the 27th February and emptied our house in 4 hours. Next morning they reappeared on the Isle of Wight at the correct and unloaded the vans very speedily. At all times they were polite and courteous. Their packing was wonderful and nothing was broken! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

We moved with Abbeywood Removals at the end of January. We cannot praise this company enough from the initial quote, which was dealt with very quickly, right through to the actual moving day. The communication between ourselves and Abbeywood was excellent at all times as was the actual move. The removal men were not only extremely polite, professional but also the speed and efficiency in which they cleared our old house and moved furniture etc into our new home was incredible. We received all the packing boxes, wrapping paper and tape in plenty of time for us to pack our own items at our leisure. The packing materials were all free of charge, which was appreciated as moving is so costly and if you can make savings it all helps. The overall cost of the move was reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this company as we have nothing negative to say about them, only praise.

We recently used Abbeywood Removals & Storage to move house. The whole process from initial quotation to day of removal was professional. On the day of the move the team arrived on time, they worked efficiently and handled our items with as much care as if we were moving them ourselves. This is the second time that we've used Abbeywood, and yet again they did an amazing job for us - from start to finish. Adrian and Paula were a pleasure to deal with in the run-up to move day, and on this move, they were incredibly patient as exchange and completion dates took longer than anticipated to confirm - they were life savers! When the team arrived to pack and move us, they were all nothing short of brilliant. Professional, friendly and above all, totally obliging - nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Even when completion was massively delayed on move day, the team did not show any sign of frustration, and when we eventually received the keys, the team just cracked on with the same great humour we had seen all day. We shopped around for 3 removal companies and out of all of them, Abbeywood Removals were by far the best on all counts. Initial contact was easy and the sales guy was very efficient and good to deal with. The quote was clear and there were no hidden costs which was important as we had enough outgoings as it was with the move. All paperwork was done electronically for quotes and invoices and all very clear from start to finish. The 2 removal men who came on the day made the whole process look very easy and nothing was too much trouble for them, which certainly helped make the whole move far less stressful for us and our 2 cats. We used Abbeywood Removals on three separate occasions: first, a major move of most of our furniture and possessions into storage; second, moving from a temporary residence in north Oxfordshire into our new home in Hampshire; and third, the delivery of our possessions in storage to our new residence a week after we moved. I can only report that on each occasion, the different teams of packers (we had the full packing service) were brilliant: super efficient, hardworking , helpful and courteous, my wife and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the manner in which they eased the burden and stress of moving house. Moving house is never easy, particularly after 33 years and the contingent collection of "stuff". Abbeywood made it considerably easier than it might have been and kept us advised and informed prior to the actual moving day. Their quote was very competitive and considerably less than many of the prices we received. When the final day arrived, it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year but the three young men who turned up (on time), carried on regardless. They were friendly and easy company and worked efficiently and helpfully with a minimum of fuss. We were amazed how quickly they packed our whole house and very pleased how efficient and helpful they were once we received the key release on our new property. A potentially stressful day was made a lot easier and we enjoyed their company. Incidentally, there were no breakages at all.

Abbeywood were friendly and professional from the start, they followed all current Covid rules and regulations when attending to provide the quote and sent it through really quickly. The boxes followed a couple of days after I accepted the quote and was pretty much spot on with the number provided. The lads that turned up to load were fabulous, they loaded over 2 days (one very hot the other heavy rain) and were really cheerful, friendly, professional and efficient. They loaded the van with a practiced eye and were done by lunch time on the first day. The following morning they loaded the few remaining bits and pieces and were on their way. The other end everything was unloaded and put in the correct rooms within 2 hours. Having now had the opportunity to unpack, everything moved arrived in the same condition it was handed over in. Really happy with the service provided by the lads at Abbeywood. Would definitely recommend them to others considering moving soon.

My 86yo mother wanted to move from Banbury closer to us in Surrey. She arranged everything and was talked through the process step by step. Initially she was concerned and not sure what to expect but following the help she became confident. This confidence was enhanced when the removal men arrived. They were punctual, respectful, hard working, effective and efficient and did everything they could to make her happy. All items were handled carefully using covering where needed. Prompt loading and departure was followed by efficient arrival and unloading. Despite having to move a few things more than once whilst she decided where to put them, nothing was ever too much trouble and any request was met by of course, no problem and a smile. All items delivered and reassembled without any problem at all. We utilised Abbey wood for our recent home move and also used their packing service. The Abbeywood team arrived the day before our move, they arrived on time. Initially we only had one packer but as the morning moved on eventually we had at least six, meaning that we were all packed before lunch. On the day of the move a team of six were present to load the lorries and we were on the move by 11am. The entire team were well presented, polite and had a great sense of humour. Once we were allowed into the new house we were unloaded within 2 hours and had no damage or breakages. My wife and I would have no concerns recommending Abbeywood. We had four different firms quoting for our move from the south-east to the north -west (165miles). We had a complicated move with a couple of heavy woodworking machines as well as the contents of a six bedded house. Abbeywood struck us as giving the most realistic quote as well as being very pleasant and having a clear plan of how the move would be enacted with some of our belongings being packed early and going into store to be brought north on a later date. Abbeywood were unwilling to confirm a date for the main move until after contracts were exchanged. This was an issue as one of the solicitors in the chain was unwilling to exchange until the day before completion! Paula responded quickly to emails or phone calls with friendly efficiency. A compromise was reached when we completed the chain beneath us and committed ourselves to moving out on 11th February, having checked that this date was agreeable to the whole chain of seven buyers/sellers. Abbeywood would have moved all our belongings into store if this were necessary, which fortunately did not happen. Packing, removal of the first load to store, packing the remainder and coming north happened over four days. All the Abbeywood staff were friendly, efficient, interesting, strong young men. Kyle led the team very well and had an uncanny ability to work out what would fit where in the vans. Both moving dates of 11th February and 8th March went smoothly and we would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Abbeywood were great. They loaded most of our things on one day and returned the next to load the remainder and then drove to our new house. Completion was really delayed - they waited 3.5 hours to start unloading and were cheerful and positive through this period. When completion happened, they speedily and carefully unloaded over 3 hours including erecting beds. Then they had to drive 2.5 hours back to Buckingham. Their attitude was incomparable. They were friendly and pragmatic. A pleasure to deal with. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. The no 'late keys fee' was a bonus but we felt they cared about us and our move and almost that their role was to help us manage our stress. Great company to deal with.

We moved from High Wycombe to Milton Keynes. Good professional advice on initial survey and extremely helpful attitude when hiccups in our sales process meant several changes to estimated moving dates. On the day the crews arrived early, which was probably just as well as we had underestimated the amount of 'stuff' accumulated over our 40-year-residency and were still packing! Our brilliant foreman assessed the situation, told me there was no need to panic and that he and his crew would deal with it. They finished the packing and loaded everything with such speed it felt like a whirlwind had hit but everything arrived at our destination and nothing was broken. They were friendly, obliging, even managing to crack the odd joke, and must have been exhausted when their long day finished. Thank you Abbeywood.

Appeared like a swarm of locus, the plan – pack most before tomorrow, the move day, but enthusiasm overtook the packing and we were whisked along with it all and before you could say “lets move” we where mostly packed. So why not complete and we will be out a day early so we find a friend to lodge with over night. The next day and 100 miles later we find ourselves outside the new home with two lorries and now have to patiently wait for the legals to do their best to complete. A couple of hours later we are in, beds are zapped upstairs, boxes deposited all over the house and garden bits squeezed into sheds and away – we are in. As everyone knows, moving house is a stressful activity but we couldn't have found a more competent team to help us through the process. The three day operation went very much accordingly to plan with any specific challenges each day handled willingly and without fuss. The highlight was when the piano successfully made it up to the first floor living room - much to the relief of Legs! i used Abbeywood a while ago.Only now have I full unpacked and have discovered many problems. I received a very poor service,though the team were friendly The estimate included removing many many things that I didn't take and emptying the loft. However, I emptied the loft myself. The men therefore had far less to pack and do than expected. They initially worked well but left early saying it would be done next day There then was a panic on moving day to be out on time Unloading appeared really rushed:things were dumped in the shed that didn't go there. Boxes labelled living room left in the garage. Plants were broken; They couldn't get a wardrobe upstairs till i said to take it apart. Suddenly it was upstairs! I felt like they were desperate to get away. i didn't check everything very well. Mattresses were still in plastic; the table put together wrongly; some furniture wasn't rebuilt, On unpacking i discovered many breakages as some things were unwrapped.Dirty walking boots were thrown on top of bedding;towels were used for wrapping things;heavy winter clothes were rammed on top of summer things as clothes weren't in wardrobe boxes as had been promised. They were very creased. i received a small amount of compensation i have finally unpacked the pictures and glasses. Many are chipped and had to be thrown out. Picture frames are broken/chipped and the glass smashed due to lack of wrapping paper. i rang to tell Abbeywood but they seemed uninterested! I do not recommend them.

Also they sent a 58 year old man who could not really cope with all the stairs. Badly damaged wall. Friends of ours have recently had a bad experience with long term storage (with a different but well advertised company) and so we were slightly apprehensive how our belongings would fare after 10 months with Abbeywood. I have to say, we could not be happier. The collection was smooth and quick, going the extra mile at for us, at a stressful time. Our recent move was made a lot less pressured than it could have been thanks to the professional, efficient and reliable service provided by Abbeywood. Everyone we dealt with [estimator, admin staff and removals team] was helpful and provided excellent customer service. Requests for additional boxes etc. were handled promptly the same day and all queries were answered very quickly. On the day the move team of Tom, Chubs, and Skater Boy were ably led by Legs [the gaffer] and no detail was too small in terms of ensuring our complete satisfaction and they certainly delivered that. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone moving home. They provide a quality service without a doubt.

From the moment their estimator walked through the door to the collection of the empty boxes after the move, every element of service was both professional & personal. The joy however is the quality of the men who actually carry out the move. I have moved 3 times with them & probably had 8 different men work on my move.
