We've recently had extensive work carried out on our property, including exterior joinery, timber renewal and painting, installation of heritage guttering, re-pointing of three large chimneys using traditional materials, reinstatement of slate verges, slate repairs, vent replacements and more. From the first introduction, communication was prompt and professional, and a detailed quote (complete with a drone survey) was provided quickly. The on-site team, led by Bruce the foreman, has been excellent throughout professional, friendly and tidy. The work was completed on time, and the team willingly accommodated additional jobs along the way. It's been a real pleasure dealing with Iain, Bruce and the rest of the team. The work carried out last year was to an excellent standard and the quotes were very competitive. In fact, on one job their quote saved me a considerable amount of money due to the actions of an untrustworthy trader. Because of this, Aberdeen North East Roofing and Slating are my go-to roofing and slating contractor and I will be using them as annual roofing maintenance contractors for the foreseeable future.

Really impressed with the workmanship and crew that Iain supplied to repoint our whole gable end, having previously used their services on our previous home. All work carried out meticulously, to a high standard, and at a very competitive house. We've already recommended them to various friends and family, who have all been pleased with their work too!

The work involved the erection of an access scaffold, stripping off all slates from two adjoining sections of roof including the galvanised valley between these two sections of roof, repairing any sarking as required. Then relining the roof with breathable membrane and replacing the valley with 2mm lead and finally re-slating and making good all cement work as necessary. The slating team of 2-3 kept a tidy and safe work place and appeared to do some good quality slating. My impression was that they had completed a good job.

I contracted with Aberdeen North East Roofing to carry out remedial work on the roof of an old property. I also wanted an expert opinion on the rest of the roof to see if further work was required or recommended to keep the roof watertight and well maintained. Iain arranged a site visit soon after my enquiry and inspected the roof, which confirmed what I knew to be required, but also explained other work which was recommended. A detailed assessment was given with pictures to illustrate the problems and evidence the work required. A full quote was given for the work on that basis and provided in writing. The work was agreed and a few weeks later the work was complete. Once again, pictures were provided of the work progress and completion. I am very happy with the work - was completed as per the contract and within a short timescale, which I was particularly delighted with. The paperwork provided was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Work completed on front and rear slate roofs last year, and asked Iain to return this year to replace felt roof on a rear flat roof extension after a leak. The work was carried out to a high standard, we were kept informed of the progress whilst work was ongoing and the work is guaranteed for 30 years. Overall we were very pleased with the work that was carried out, and would not hesitate to recommend Iain and his workers.
