We are a small family business born from generations of roofers going back over a hundred years.
Our ways of working and ethics are as they used to be, our methods are the same, we just use modern materials now.
Because we are family business, there are no sub contractors, no one to come and do you're job differently to the job I have described.
We are members of Constructionline, which is a government run pre qualified scheme, which means we have insurances, health and safety, etc.
We are also members of Essex County Council's Buy With Confidence scheme, We have been vetted and crb checked.Whatever work we do is done to the same high standard. We work for several schools in Havering and also Havering Council.
We take pride in making customers property look better for us having carried out work. You will see from any of the pictures of our work how everything is all set out neat, tidy, equal and straight, which shows that we care
We are also Velux certified installers an are registered with Trustmark.

I had used this roofing firm for my flat roof extension and was very pleased with the quality of the work, so I had no hesitation in asking them to re-felt my shed/cabin roof which had sprung a leak. Paul arrived promptly at 8am and began work straight away. He was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this family run company.

Fitting blinds to Velux roof windows

Found the company through the Velux website, and they responded promptly to my enquiry, with helpful advice and a great quote to supply and/or fit solar powered blinds to existing roof (3m high) Velux windows. Malcolm talked me through the options on the phone, and then his son Paul came to fit. Paul was friendly, professional and did an excellent job: clean, tidy and quick and we're very pleased with the results. He cleaned the windows in and out before fitting also. A great company, fair price, good communication and excellent work done.

They were very professional and polite , making sure we understood the work needed for the repair and explaining the job to us whilst listening to our needs . Replacing asbestos garage roof with new steel roof

Based on previous reviews I asked Able Felt Roofing to replace a single garage roof. They attended and gave me options around removing the asbestos sheets and replacing with steel. The option of a central Filon sheet would allow natural light to come in. The price was competitive and we agreed terms. Malcolm arranged for the asbestos removal, which was efficiently done, with full clear up. The steel roof was fitted, overcoming issues with uneven walls. The work was high quality and very carefully carried out. Malcolm and his son were very helpful, going the extra mile to adjust for the fact my garage was not square. There was great attention to detail, e.g. to ensure the guttering linked in with my outbuilding. I am very impressed with the little details, and the quality of the work. They arrived on time every day and cleared up before they left. I would thoroughly recommend.

We had experienced 2 years of problems with a leak in the flat roof of a Victorian porch . Work carried out by two other tradesmen had not dealt with the problem. Able Felt Roofing made a prompt assessment and completed the work efficiently and carefully. All issues were discussed and changes in the specification of the estimate were necessary as the timber roof did not need replacing. We thought that the final cost was good value for money and were confident about the quality of the workmanship. We have had our first heavy rainfall since the work was done and there have been no leaks. We would recommend this firm.

Malcolm & Paul were both very nice & accommodating due to me constantly changing the dates of my availability, nothing was too much hassle. they work extremely cleanly, covering all floorways prior to carrying out works, they even went above and beyond by fixing an area of wood around where the window was being changed. After they'd finished & tidied up, they left the house with no trace of works being done (other than my fantastic New Window installed in the Loft) as I had to pop out just after, they even came back the following day to fully explain & demonstrate how the window worked. Would 100% Recommend.
