We are a small family business born from generations of roofers going back over a hundred years.
Our ways of working and ethics are as they used to be, our methods are the same, we just use modern materials now.
Because we are family business, there are no sub contractors, no one to come and do you're job differently to the job I have described.
We are members of Constructionline, which is a government run pre qualified scheme, which means we have insurances, health and safety, etc.
We are also members of Essex County Council's Buy With Confidence scheme, We have been vetted and crb checked.Whatever work we do is done to the same high standard. We work for several schools in Havering and also Havering Council.
We take pride in making customers property look better for us having carried out work. You will see from any of the pictures of our work how everything is all set out neat, tidy, equal and straight, which shows that we care
We are also Velux certified installers an are registered with Trustmark.

We have relied on Malcolm and Paul from Able Felt Roofing for all our roofing jobs for many years now. We wouldn’t consider using anyone else as they are so professional, reliable, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. They have just completed re-lining our flat roof. They worked very hard, left everything neat and tidy and we are extremely pleased with the result. Highly recommend them if you want a job well done!

We used Able Felt Roofing Ltd to replace two of the three motors last year and more recently the third one decided to stop working in our Velux windows. I found this company on the internet back in August/September of last year and I can honestly say both my husband and I are extremely happy with your professional approach from the outset and to Paul for fitting the motors. I contacted able felt roofing a few weeks ago and spoke to a really nice man called Malcolm who owns the company. I wanted a quote to remove asbestos in my garage and replace the whole roof and board up the garage door!! Malcolm came to see the work and emailed me a very reasonable amount which I was happy to go along with. Malcolm and his son paul worked really hard and quickly to replace the roof and do all the other jobs that I had requested. I was very happy with the result and would highly recommend able felt roofing. A very honest and hardworking run family business. Thank you

Malcolm and his son, Paul, replaced my conservatory roof and sorted out some guttering on my garage. I have had work done by them previously, so know that they produce top quality craftsmanship and work really hard. This time was no exception: they arrived on time every morning, worked industriously throughout the day. They clearly take pride in their work, with meticulous attention paid to every detail. They tidy up at the end of each day - you wouldn't know they had been there! Both men are friendly and polite, yet manage to be unobtrusive; the only sound you hear is from their labour: in other words, no loud radios or shouted conversations. I am delighted with the workmanship and professionalism shown throughout. I would use Able Felt Roofing again without hesitation and highly recommend them.

Work done to replace garage roof

I contacted Able Roofing to come and quote for replacing a very dilapidated garage roof which I thought was beyond repair. Paul came to look at the roof and said it was repairable. The quote was sent and I was happy and asked them to do the work. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional, clean and tidy workers. The job was completed to my total satisfaction and they also replaced the old broken wooden door with a new PVC pedestrian door. The standard of work carried out by Malcolm and Paul was exemplary and they went over and above the work quoted for originally. I would have no hesitation in recommending Able Roofing as competent, caring and clean professional contractors.

Found Able roofing through Velux recommended installers list. The whole experience was exceptional. Fair price quoted and work completed with minimal fuss, on time and to a high standard. Great preparation to protect access route to room, no ‘making good ‘ needed after installation as the work was completed so carefully. I would not hesitate to recommend, a real find for future works.
