We are a small family business born from generations of roofers going back over a hundred years.
Our ways of working and ethics are as they used to be, our methods are the same, we just use modern materials now.
Because we are family business, there are no sub contractors, no one to come and do you're job differently to the job I have described.
We are members of Constructionline, which is a government run pre qualified scheme, which means we have insurances, health and safety, etc.
We are also members of Essex County Council's Buy With Confidence scheme, We have been vetted and crb checked.Whatever work we do is done to the same high standard. We work for several schools in Havering and also Havering Council.
We take pride in making customers property look better for us having carried out work. You will see from any of the pictures of our work how everything is all set out neat, tidy, equal and straight, which shows that we care

After the recent rain storms my flat roof developed a leak. I consulted Which trusted trader and contacted Able Felt Roofing Limited. Malcolm was quick to respond and came over to inspect the.problem. He took photos to show me what had happened and said this could be repaired. I also mentioned a few more issues concerning the outside cowls on my extraction fans which had blocked with moss. I also had condensation issues in my loft and Malcolm recommended roof tile vents could be a solution. Work commenced a few days after receiving a quotation and Malcolm and Paul completed the job quickly and efficiently. They took photos of the roof which had been left clean and tidy. I can therefore confidently recommend this company.

Our 40 year old shed developed some serious leaks following all the inclement weather lately. Under normal circumstances I would have rectified the defects myself but geriatric circumstances dictated it was time to call the Professional. Able Felt Roofing i.e. Malcolm arrived quickly and provided a written estimate within the day. A few days later dodging yet more rain Paul, Malcolm's son arrived and over three days due to more rain stopping play the shed was re-felted and new guttering fitted. I'm confident the shed will fall down before the new felt deteriorates!! An excellent job completed very efficiently by a firm with an excellent professional attitude and processes. 5 STARS. A job well done in a timely fashion.

We found Able Felt Roofing on the Which? website which we thought was a good recommendation and we have every reason to be pleased we did. The email sent in response to our initial query was clear and to the point so we knew what might be a problem. The estimate seemed to us to be fair. We had to have dry weather for the device to be tested and we were kept fully informed by Malcolm. Paul came and did the work and we now have a fully opening and shutting window. We would highly recommend this company run by two men who are both considerate and professional.

I contacted able felt roofing a few weeks ago and spoke to a really nice man called Malcolm who owns the company. I wanted a quote to remove asbestos in my garage and replace the whole roof and board up the garage door!! Malcolm came to see the work and emailed me a very reasonable amount which I was happy to go along with. Malcolm and his son paul worked really hard and quickly to replace the roof and do all the other jobs that I had requested. Malcolm and his son, Paul, replaced my conservatory roof and sorted out some guttering on my garage. I have had work done by them previously, so know that they produce top quality craftsmanship and work really hard. This time was no exception: they arrived on time every morning, worked industriously throughout the day. They clearly take pride in their work, with meticulous attention paid to every detail. They tidy up at the end of each day - you wouldn't know they had been there! Both men are friendly and polite, yet manage to be unobtrusive; the only sound you hear is from their labour: in other words, no loud radios or shouted conversations. I am delighted with the workmanship and professionalism shown throughout. I would use Able Felt Roofing again without hesitation and highly recommend them.

I contacted Able Roofing to come and quote for replacing a very dilapidated garage roof which I thought was beyond repair. Paul came to look at the roof and said it was repairable. The quote was sent and I was happy and asked them to do the work. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional, clean and tidy workers. The job was completed to my total satisfaction and they also replaced the old broken wooden door with a new PVC pedestrian door. The standard of work carried out by Malcolm and Paul was exemplary and they went over and above the work quoted for originally. I would have no hesitation in recommending Able Roofing as competent, caring and clean professional contractors.

Abel Roofing renewed my flat roof and installed Velux Skylights. This was not as straightforward as first thought. However with their professionalism and perseverance the job was finished with minimal extra cost which was agreed. They removed all the old roofing as they went. It was a pleasure to have Malcolm & Paul work on our porch. With a challenging job ahead, their knowledge & expertise shone through. Very satisfied customer, would recommend the work done by Malcolm and Paul. I've had a leaking garage roof for 10 years which 2 previous roofers and a builder have attempted to either replace or repair. The roofers failed completely and the builder was only able to stop some of the leaks. Malcolm examined the roof explained what work was needed to repair the garage roof but more importantly explained what didn't need doing. He also gave me an estimate to replace a wooden facia and guttering on a rear extension. Once I agreed to the work in early August Malcolm and Paul started the work which was completed within a week with Malcolm keeping me updated. The repairs were tested the following day by thunderstorms during the night and heavy rain all morning, NO leaks at all. After 10 years of trying a very satisfied customer.

We moved quite recently and found that our bedroom was quite dark. After some research we thought about a "sun tunnel". We contacted Able Felt roofing as they are a local company who are "Velux Approved". This is a small family run business, and Malcolm and his son Paul carried out the work. Malcolm advised us and was very clear and honest with the pro's and cons of the different options. We were really impressed with the work, and their tidiness. The guys had to deal with an already boarded loft, and the tunnel really takes up no space at all in the loft due to the way they managed to position it. We are really happy with the results, the difference is amazing!!
