Following some incorrectly fitted velux's which was leaking water into the house, Malcolm and Paul reviewed directly with Velux and gave us a number of options to resolve the problem, this resulted in replacing the existing windows. The turn around time was excellent as with the attention to detail. Work throughout was clean and precise and no remedial work required by us after the fit. Would fully recommend them to anyone in a similar position.

Malcolm and son came to fit a new window and completed the job very well. They also cleaned the gutter and fixed some tiles which was not in the quote for free which we are very thankful for. They were very polite and cleaned up after themselves which was an added bonus.

Having tried to get my old and faulty Velux window replaced for several months; being quoted ridiculous prices and being let down by fitters I am so happy that we ended up getting the work done with Able Felt Roofing. I could not recommend Malcolm and his son Paul enough. They are professional, efficient and tidy. We had to wait a little while for them to become available due to poor weather but they were always honest and realistic with their communications with my partner. I had several valuable items in the room which they protected with dust sheets and left the room in a good condition when they left. I noticed that Paul held the hoover nozzle up to catch dust as he was trimming plaster work which struck me as particularly professional. The window looks great and has been fitted perfectly. I initially met Malcolm a year ago as he is a Velux recommended installer. We had problems with our existing windows in two rooms and he came promptly to look and gave me some very helpful advice and suggestions regarding replacement windows. As we needed a specialist roofing material on our modern extension roof, Malcolm fairly suggested that the roofing company we had chosen would be more than capable of installing the new windows for us. After the roof and windows were replaced, I called Malcolm to see what he could suggest to finish off internally. Once again he had some helpful suggestions and a couple of days later, his son, Paul, came to complete the job in our loft bedroom. He has done a superb job, with great attention to detail. The surround he has constructed looks as though it is part of the new window frame, when there had been quite a large gap all around, due to the smaller size of the new windows. We also needed the work completed as quickly as possible as we were unable to use the room, due to wind and debris coming through the gap leaving us open to the roof space. As well as being extremely competent in their work, both Malcolm and Paul are extremely considerate and kind. They took account of our situation (they needed to wear masks due to my husband's ill health) and were helpful and patient. They certainly inspire trust and have been excellent throughout.

Our leaky guttering badly needed replacing, all work carried out by Paul and Malcolm was carried out in a professional manner with the least amount of disruption and they always tidied up at the end of the day. Once the work started it soon became obvious that the guttering, soffits and fascias were in a poor state of repair and required more extensive work, this was carried out by Paul, it was challenging at times but was dealt with skilfully and looks amazing, we are so pleased with the end result, it really does look good. We wouldn’t hesitate to 100% recommend Malcolm and Paul and will defiantly be using them again.

Mother nature aka sun and rain had caused extensive deterioration of an 8'x 6' garden shed roof. Having used Able roofing in the past it was time to consult Malcolm once again. He attended quickly to assess the problem and provided a written estimate within the day. The shed roof was repaired within a week by Paul, Malcolm's son. A little bit of timber replacement was required and new gutters fitted and the job was completed in a day. A first class service by a very efficient company. I had my guttering replaced about 18 months ago but it was leaking and splashing on a wooden side door, at the front of my house. I couldn’t get the previous installer to come back and make good. I choose Able Felt Roofing after reading reviews on Which? Communication with Malcolm was clear and concise. Paul (son) attended to assess the job. I wanted an additional downpipe and we agreed on the placement. I then received a very reasonable written quote, via email. On the day, Paul arrived on time and completed a very neat job and cleared up all the mess made on my drive, as well as my neighbour’s drive. I received an invoice the following day that was less than the original quote, so I was very happy.

After the recent rain storms my flat roof developed a leak. I consulted Which trusted trader and contacted Able Felt Roofing Limited. Malcolm was quick to respond and came over to inspect the.problem. He took photos to show me what had happened and said this could be repaired. I also mentioned a few more issues concerning the outside cowls on my extraction fans which had blocked with moss. I also had condensation issues in my loft and Malcolm recommended roof tile vents could be a solution. Work commenced a few days after receiving a quotation and Malcolm and Paul completed the job quickly and efficiently. They took photos of the roof which had been left clean and tidy. I can therefore confidently recommend this company.

Work was undertaken to replace both roofs on a garage and large log cabin. All aspects of my experience with this firm has been top quality, from the preliminary inspection to communication and the work was carried out to an excellent standard, to budget and in a very efficient time frame. Our 40 year old shed developed some serious leaks following all the inclement weather lately. Under normal circumstances I would have rectified the defects myself but geriatric circumstances dictated it was time to call the Professional. A few days later dodging yet more rain Paul, Malcolm's son arrived and over three days due to more rain stopping play the shed was re-felted and new guttering fitted. The email sent in response to our initial query was clear and to the point so we knew what might be a problem. The estimate seemed to us to be fair. I contacted Able Roofing to come and quote for replacing a very dilapidated garage roof which I thought was beyond repair. Paul came to look at the roof and said it was repairable. I've had a leaking garage roof for 10 years which 2 previous roofers and a builder have attempted to either replace or repair. The roofers failed completely and the builder was only able to stop some of the leaks. Malcolm examined the roof explained what work was needed to repair the garage roof but more importantly explained what didn't need doing. He also gave me an estimate to replace a wooden facia and guttering on a rear extension. Once I agreed to the work in early August Malcolm and Paul started the work which was completed within a week with Malcolm keeping me updated. We moved quite recently and found that our bedroom was quite dark. After some research we thought about a "sun tunnel". We contacted Able Felt roofing as they are a local company who are "Velux Approved". This is a small family run business, and Malcolm and his son Paul carried out the work. Malcolm advised us and was very clear and honest with the pro's and cons of the different options. We were really impressed with the work, and their tidiness. The guys had to deal with an already boarded loft, and the tunnel really takes up no space at all in the loft due to the way they managed to position it. We are really happy with the results, the difference is amazing!!

I had real problems finding anyone who could pair my window blinds and Velux windows. They had been installed by a builder who renovated my house and left before it was completed. We were very satisfied with the work done by Malcolm and Paul in replacing our garage roof, which included the difficult task of straightening the fascia's. They also removed and installed a new garage window. They were very reliable and arrived punctually. This is the second time I have used Able Felt roofing after they did a fantastic job replacing my asbestos garage roof. This job was a leaking dormer roof with a damaged fascia and guttering. The difference between how the roof looked like then to now is night and day. Malcolm also recommended insulation as there previously was none. The quote was reasonable and Malcolm was very knowledgeable so we were happy to proceed. Just before they were due to complete the job our flat roof started leaking, and Malcolm kindly came straight away to do an emergency repair. He was then able to do a more permanent repair when he came to deal with our original leak. He kept us informed of what needed to be fixed and sent us before and after photos. Able Felt Roofing replaced three large Velux windows, removed a fourth and reinstated the tiling. Malcolm and Paul are a father and son team, with many years of experience, who work brilliantly well together. Malcolm provided a detailed quote so we knew exactly what the job involved. He is a good communicator and we were always kept informed about the schedule. The standard of work was second to none, surfaces below the windows were covered with dust sheets and all dust was vacuumed away, often as it was being produced. The installation required re-angling of the new Velux frames to meet the minimum pitch specification and this was expertly done. The adjoining roof materials have been seamlessly dressed in and every aspect of the finish is aesthetically and functionally perfect. I have already recommended Able to a family member and would not hesitate to do so for others. My guttering was totally replaced along with the facia and soffit boards. Problems with pealing paint on the facia and soffit boards also in heavy rain, there was water running down my exterior walls, forced me to have all this work undertaken. There is a small section of flat roof over the front of my garage which is part of my house which also was undertaken at the same time. All this work was done in a very professional manner, and though it took a couple of days, there was no mess or materials left lying about. I am most pleased with the finished result. After accepting the quote Malcolm came within two days to do the work and finished within a few hours. All rubbish was cleared away and everything left tidy. The only sign of any work having been done was a lovely new shed roof. I cannot fault their work or professionalism and highly recommend them.

After having an awful experience with another "roofer?" I contacted Abel Roofing. Malcolm and his son came and inspected the damage and confidently agreed to remedy the work. A few weeks later all leaks are gone and estimate was as quoted. Highly recommended!

We have used Able Felt Roofing in the past in fact 25 years ago to do a small felt roof on our house and it still fine after all those years. We decided to replace our conservatory roof with a felt finish and 2 Lanterns after various estimates we decided to choose Able Felt Roofing once again. Despite the poor weather Malcolm and Paul were able to do a superb job the finish was excellent and their knowledge of roofing is second to none so we were assured of a very high quality job at a what we believe was a reasonable price and timescale and that is what they achieved.

I had a leaking workshop roof, water dripping onto my electrics. A telephone call and Malcolm came and assessed the problem. A quote followed which was agreed. The work was completed two days later. I cannot fault the quality of the work or the service I received.

Malcolm and Paul had done work for us in the past, this time I needed a chimney cowl fitted to stop birds falling down the chimney. Malcolm went up in a cherry picker and managed to adapt the cowl to fit a very large chimney. He is very conscientious and tidy and gives good considered advice. Paul his son came and fixed a leaking porch roof making a new lead valley to direct the water into the gutter and altered the tiles to suit. They are both reliable and very pleasant people to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend them as they work well together or apart.

I was struggling to find someone to do extensive repairs a Scout hall roof when I remembered what a great job Malcom did on a flat roof at my home 20 years beforehand ( which is still going strong) Malcom and Paul had to overcome several difficult problems on the roof which they finished to a very high standard. I previously had Malcolm and Paul come round and fit a Velux in my House they did an excellent job so they were my first port of call when I needed a roof on my new build garage. The job they did is excellent, they did all the timber joists the felt roof and fascias and guttering it looks great, really solid and incredible neat.
