I came for a chair service and to have an issue with my bearings fixed. Despite giving a reference number, the wrong part was ordered so I had to reschedule. We spoke on the phone, I was told a different part had to be ordered, pushing the price up. After the service, I tested my chair at home and found that the issue was much worse than before. I called back the next day 5 times, every time being told I would be called back, to no avail. I then received a call back, but was reprimanded by the agent for calling, as he said I was "wasting time he could be spending with customers who needed him". I pointed out that he had left me with a chair that did not function and I needed him to sort it as I was stranded. I asked that he bring me a hire chair as I was not able to get to a hospital appointment or to work until they remedied the issue. In addition to this, my family had gone away and I no longer had anyone to drive me anywhere - they were aware of this when doing the service. They called the next day asking me to pick up the hire chair, I pointed out this wasn't what we agreed on. I was eventually brought the hire chair. I was called about picking up my chair after the second repair, and at this point, as I was away from York, the mechanic asked me how it was possible for me to leave home by myself if I have a disability. When the chair was returned the second time, I noted that the expensive extra part had not been used, and the original issue still remains.
