Academy windows replaced all of the windows on our property and installed bifold doors, a roof lantern and a new front door. The customer service was fantastic throughout. They supplied and installed in stages to suit the phases of our renovation and extension, were quick to get us booked in as soon as we were ready. The suppliers were professional, clean and tidy and did a fantastic job. From the initial enquiry, the service from Allen Installations has been excellent. As most customers I expect we had many questions on style, colour, design options and all were answered in a timely manner, and the costs agreeable. Work commenced as planned and completed as expected. Over the course of the installation, we has various Allen Installations fitters assist due to the size of the project, but at all times we had Mike and Mark overseeing all the work. The attention to detail, options on how parts should be finished always discussed. It seems quite rare these days to get 100% great service, but on this occasion we did, and I would without doubt recommend them to family and friends, which we already have!

1st class job from 1st class fitters. This is the second time I have used Academy windows from Brightlingsea and they didn't disappoint. Their attention to detail is second to none, which is why I returned to them to complete my most recent project. I asked for the same team of fitters which was dually dispatched, in fact, at one point I thought I was on DIY SOS programme as the company dispatched 3 teams. They completed the whole house including windows, doors and the porch within the agreed schedule and at a very competitive price as I had shopped around 4 companies. They are and will be my go to trader and I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone. They are professional, detailed, polite and leave the workplace clean and tidy everyday on finishing. Job well done...

We replaced a series of old windows. We were very impressed with the initial design process (we submitted pictures and full drawings were sent to us). The installation itself was very efficiently carried out, with very little mess or inconvenience. We would be happy to use again.

Academy windows were great from the start, helping us in selecting the right windows for us and not just telling us to go with the more expensive options. In fact after talking to them we saved £700 from our initial online quote. Installation was done quickly, with the workspaces left tidy and there was very little touching up to be done. There was a demonstration on the easy clean hinges. A very positive experience. We will require other windows to be replaced in the future and we will definitely be coming back to Academy.

From start to finish Academy Windows have been excellent to deal with! From providing a fast detailed quote to fitting our new windows and doors and providing excellent aftercare service (Thanks Duncan) It was a reasonably big job which included fitting all new windows and doors throughout our house including a 3 pane bifold door, and 2 doors and a glass skylight for our utility room (For which the frame had to be built from scratch, thanks Paul & Steve) All the guys were really friendly, polite and a good laugh so instantly put us both at ease. Very pleased with our new front door (Thanks Ryan) The bifold door turned out to be a bigger job than was first thought but Steve, Paul & Ricky worked incredibly hard to get a fantastic result. We couldn't be happier with all the work that the team have completed for us. If you are looking for new windows, doors, a conservatory or roofline work we would highly recommend giving Academy windows a ring.

The surveyor was a pleasure to deal with. He listened to what I wanted, gave useful advice, measured up, quoted and was gone in less than half an hour. He warned me that the work could not be done for five months and that was when they did it, without my having to chase them. Two experienced and pleasant workmen came on the day and made an excellent job of the installation, which was a side-door and three windows in a garage. The work was done in one day. Without my commenting, the man installing the door made a final adjustment so that it closes perfectly. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm for the installation of double glazing and doors. It was recommended to me by two knowledgeable people.

We have recently had our whole house transformed with new windows, cladding to the front and rear and a weirdly placed set of double doors in an upstairs bedroom removed, replaced with a wall, and proper window. From the very start the fitters were brilliant, they took the utmost care when removing the old windows and cladding, and the new windows went in really well too. The time and care they took to get the job done correctly is, in my opinion, second to none. Other members of my family have also used this company for their homes and always highly recommend them, now I am highly recommending them as well!

Asked Academy windows to quote for replacement windows. Agreed and windows were put in yesterday what a difference. Good price and they kept us informed of manufacturing status. Chaps arrived on time and placed clean covers on the carpets and furniture. The job was messy but they got on with the prep and installation cleaning up afterwards. Windows fit perfectly and look great. They also dealt with an issue with the patio door and another window whilst on site. Great organisation and execution of job. Never been so happy to part with hard-earned cash. Pleasure dealing with them. We have another bigger job planned so they will be go-to people. Thank you Academy Windows.

We met with Tony in September of 2021 to discuss a conservatory-style extension to our property. Tony was helpful and proceeded to give us a quote. We reviewed this and made some alterations in line with our budget, but when asked questions, as per the suggested article on the citizens advice website regarding liability insurance and terms of the contract, he was unwilling to help and decided that Academy Windows will no longer offer their services and we should look elsewhere for a conservatory. We found this very disappointing and unprofessional. We asked questions that were relevant to our build and did so professionally, and in line with citizens advice. The fact that Academy Windows were not willing to give us vital information about the terms of our potential contract and also the insurance which they hold in case of issues, was alarming. We will now be seeking extension quotes from a more transparent provider.

Jack did an excellent job at fitting our front door. It looks very smart. Everyone’s commented on how well the work’s been completed. Would recommend.

I rang a 09:05 this morning with a broken window. A new window was manufactured and installed by 15:00 hours the same day. I rate this as first class service. Very many thanks. Bill

Academy Windows have done a few jobs for me and all have been amazing, my windows, doors, soffit, guttering, and cladding and it has transformed my home. I can't thank them enough, all of the guys are brilliant, friendly and work so hard, plus you would never know they have been there as they tidy up behind them. I'm genuinely gutted I have nothing left to get done. Aside from the fitters, the office is also fantastic, helpful, friendly. Particularly Aran, who is great at his job, always kept me in the loop of what is happening and manages everything so well :)

Though the company is not the cheapest the service is second to none. The staff are all professional and installers were friendly and helpful. They made a point to ensure everything was satisfactory and happy with the work.

We required the cladding on a dormer extension to be replaced. We had used Academy Windows before to replace all our windows. We found them easy to work with. Although delayed by COVID restrictions, they have completed the job to a high standard and we are very pleased with the result. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had a replacement window fitted in our kitchen yesterday by this company and we were super impressed with their professionalism from start to finish. Great communications with the assessor, surveyor and finally with the fitter. The finish in particular was fantastic and there was a bit of remedial work also done to the plaster where the original window came out. Now thinking about our other windows...

After 3 years searching for the right product and company we decided to use the Academy to replace our conservatory roof and chose the individual "tiled" cladding. Right from our first visit to the Brightlingsea depot, it was clear this is a friendly and professional operation, offering quality products. Following the initial home visit to outline our requirements a detailed survey quickly followed. All materials and options were clearly explained and despite the COVID restrictions coming into force and delaying supply of parts, we were kept informed and as soon as allowable a start date was agreed. Their construction duo (not subies! ) worked from before 8.00 am to 4.30 even in the 30C+ temps; they were always tidy, polite and professional, clearing up and hoovering every day. The job exceeded our expectations and has given us back our "extra room" in the heat and we expect to benefit in the winter from the 8" of roof insulation now in place. Additionally, we ordered a new front door, which again was excellent and has lightened our hall and appears to have increased the width, since the framework and attached edging in white (not brown) creates a visual illusion of space. We are more than satisfied with this company and would recommend them to anyone; we would have no objection if they wanted to send anyone round to see their work.

Work due to Covid 19 has been carried out over the last 5 months. From the initial enquiry to completion of the work, everything has been completed within agreed timescales, on budget and to our entire satisfaction. Everyone at Academy Windows has acted in a friendly and professional manner and the standard of work undertaken by the various teams has been excellent. Excellent service, from quotation to installation. Their sales team are very friendly and professional, at no point was I under pressure to purchase or rushed into making a decision - actually quite the opposite. I was offered many options and the pricing differentials to decide. Once I decided on specifications, I paid my deposit and manufacturing and installation was fast and efficient despite the COVID lockdown I suffered no delays. Their installation team on site were polite and the job finished in record time, taking with them all the waste materials and leaving behind my new windows. My order was for two large bay windows, three-bathroom windows, one kitchen window and three-bedroom windows. The products supplied are excellent. Liam and Joe the installers were very helpful, liaised with me at each stage of the work schedule. Their hard work was very much appreciated and they left the site clean and tidy. Budget and schedule agreed and completed on time. Academy Windows have kept me informed at all times, especially when one of the panes was cracked and will be replaced asap. It has given the bungalow a smart and up to date look. We had 2 new windows and several misted panes replaced. From initial consultation and quote to completion of work the team were very friendly and efficient. No pressurised selling. All the work was completed to a high standard and everywhere left clean and tidy. Would thoroughly recommend.

Replacement of 10 double glazed window units plus 3 replacement windowsills and lock on one original window . This was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget. All parts of the process were done in a professional and polite manner and no pressure was applied to proceed with the installation. The installers were experienced and courteous at all times. They all knew their trade and communications were faultless. One key was missing and this was replaced without fail .

I recently had my windows and front door replaced, porch panels replaced and a wall built underneath my living room window. With Academy Windows everything was done under one roof so I didn’t have to look separately for a builder and plasterer. It’s was all done as part of their service. Academy Windows are very reasonably priced, of high quality, provide fantastic customer service, clean and tidy and very accommodating when I had minor adjusters I wanted to make. Good price, very good product. Installer turned up on time. Appalling weather (heavy rain). A most pleasant, diligent chap. Door well installed. Trim and finish very good. Professional work, prompt delivery and installation throughout. All tradesmen cleared up each night. Did have a couple of unforeseen hiccups, but these were quickly resolved after a discussion to our satisfaction. No hesitation in recommending Academy Windows for conservatory and/or replacement upvc windows.

Product very good. Fitting took place on day scheduled and finished in good time. Fitter identified a problem with the base that the door frame would rest on but solved it by filling it with sand and cement. Very pleased with the door and the quality of the fitting.

We where very pleased with the work carried out by Mikey & Neil who were very good fitters. The Sash windows are really great,work was done on time and with the agreed budget. The company kept us informed and were very helpful.

Really impressed by the standard of the work. They came when they said they would, were polite and efficient and did the work extremely tidily. Also it was at a very fair price compared to other estimates that I had had. A wrong panel was inserted in the porch area and when I pointed it out they were most apologetic and remedied the fault as soon as they could. They were completely trustworthy.

The fitter did a great job at changing the old wood framed window. He removed the old frame and fitted the new one in a professional manner with little mess or damage to plaster. Well satisfied overall.

Living in a small mid terrace house might put a lot of people off having an extension due to everything having to be carried through the house! However, Academy Windows rose to the challenge. They took time to talk through the schedule, and even started a week earlier than planned. Every step of the build was carried out promptly and professionally, from digging out wheelbarrows of clay soil for the footings, excellent brickwork, efficient installation of windows, doors, solid roof & sky lights, electrical fittings and superb plastering. Everyone arrived when planned and on time, their workmanship and attention to detail was superb and they left the site tidy every evening. I’m delighted with the results, and the excellent service from start to finish, and would be confident in recommending Academy Windows to anyone.

After shopping around a whole bunch of conservatory suppliers we were pleased to discover that a company local to us was one of the most affordable. They invited us to their factory to see how it was made and we signed up. The different selection of guys that came to do the various stages of construction were all brilliant. They worked quietly and efficiently, never asking for anything and cleared up after themselves every day. The workmanship is brilliant and they repeatedly told us: "We're not happy with the work until you are". We'd recommend Academy wholeheatedly and will definitely go back to them if and when we need any double glazing sorted.

We had the three recommended quotes for our conservatory, with the base work being completed ourselves. We decided to use Academy Windows, firstly for being a local business and secondly for Tony’s knowledge & expertise working with us and within our budget to achieve a lovely conservatory. There were no pressure sales to try and secure a deal, unlike some other companies. Dan and Ryan arrived for the weeks installation and were punctual, friendly, professional and worked to a very high standard leaving everywhere so tidy. They came around and fitted in few windows plus a door. The windows looks great and there was no problem. I noticed that the door didn't have a letterbox and so I message them in early morning and they came around really quick! They fitted in a new door before afternoon! I was really please and happy really fast service! Aaron has been really helpful in answering my questions and messages. Would use them again in future!

I did my research on window companies before getting an appointment with this company. Tony (sales) was not pushy, I told him what I wanted, he listened to me, made a couple of suggestions, which I agreed with. Installers Steve, Lee and Dave came and really took their time or it could have been the old windows were difficult to get out! Anyway the kitchen frame was damaged and this was only noticed once it was installed and the following day the new frame was ready. There was a window unit that had a blemish in it, not a big issue as Aaron came and replaced with no problem a week later. Customer service was next to none, nothing was any hassle. One thing I will say, the installers do like their cups of tea and slice of toast in the morning, so make sure you have plenty of teabags, milk and bread! I also had all 20 windows replaced in the conservatory as most of the seals had gone and poor Steve had the pleasure of doing them all. Would highly recommend academy windows.

Magnificent from the reception staff to the initial survey and completion of the installation. The fitters Daniel and Ryan were polite,professional,tidy and efficient two lovely chaps who worked through some horrible weather. I would recommend this company and all their staff.
