Had boarding work with ladder and hatch undertaken by another firm around 2 years ago, but hatch size too small really and struggled to get into loft to put storage up there. Needed a bigger hatch and a more secure ladder fitted. Initial visit by Jozsef was very professional and he run through what options were available and came back with a quote. Covered the enlarging hatch and fitted a spring-loaded ladder rather than a gravity-fed one that was there. Further questions I had were dealt with quickly by email, and work was agreed upon. Russell, the fitter, arrived on time and built the frame whilst there, fitted the ladder and light too, and was meticulous throughout. Both frame and ladder were much better than the original. Showed me how to use the ladder and stayed until I was happy. The carpet on the stairs and landing was covered with sheets and he vacuumed everything on completion. Fantastic job from initial visit to completion, and only wish we’d used them the first time round. Price was competitive, and I have no hesitation in recommending them for any loft work. Russell called today 26/8/25 at 9.00am by appointment and was on time. He introduced himself and was very personable and friendly and confirmed what my expectation was i.e new Loft ladder & Hatch and confirmed price of work. First thing he did was to lay protective coverings to stairs and landing area. Russell checked the attic space to ensure it was safe to carry out the work etc. He explained what he was going to do and how. Through the installation he checked with my wife and I that everything was correct and to our satisfaction. He thoroughly explained how to operate the new loft ladder and its safety aspects. He explained about the guarantee and after service and that should anything go wrong to contact them immediately.

From the first appointment with Jozseph, who conducted the survey and explained exactly which type of loft ladder we needed, showed us photos and sent us a very detailed and reasonably priced quotation by e-mail later that day to the short waiting time (three weeks) for the job to be scheduled through to the efficient completion of the works. Lewis arrived on time on the agreed date and completed the job to a very high quality. Before leaving, he ensured that we were comfortable with the operation of the ladder and locking mechanisms for bringing it down and retracting it. He did a flawless job on widening our loft hatch, completely eliminating the need for any restorative decorating and also left the area spotlessly clean. We are thoroughly delighted and heartily recommend this company.

From the quotation and throughout the process of fitting a loft ladder and installing loft boards and lighting, the service of Access4Lofts has been perfect. The loft installers arrived punctually and were very helpful & polite. Care for tidiness was second to non as they placed a mat in the hallway and ran a well fitted sheet all the way up the stairs. The electrician arrived at around the same time and the light installation was extremely quick & efficient and it was great that the whole job was able to be completed at once. The whole job only took about 5 hours and is of the highest quality. All paperwork was explained to me as well as a comprehensive demonstration on the use of the loft ladder and a walkthrough of the work they had done. The work was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget and the job is neat, highly professional and done without any disruption. I'm so pleased with the work Joe & Russ carried out. They were both friendly and polite throughout. All work including the hatch is very neat and they were patient when showing me how to operate the ladder. They were very respectful of my home and covered up the carpet and cleaned up afterwards.
