Work undertaken with the minimum of disruption and the house left tidy, with off cuts of wood bagged up for easy disposal. Standard of workmanship second to none. Very pleased with my new loft.

Alan and his assistant installed boarding, access ladder and lighting in my loft on 9th April 2024. They were punctual, efficient and did an excellent job. Very neat and tidy too. Totally satisfied with the quality of the work and materials and would 100% recommend their services.

After initial phone call, Alan came round and I explained what I required, He explained that I would need a replacement hatch, a ladder as well as the boarding out. Because the price list is available online, I had a good idea. (except for the hatch) what the price would be. Price agreed and a date to carry out the work booked. Arrived on time, did an excellent job with new hatch and boarding out, A small issue with the ladder, but we agreed to install that a couple of days later. Very pleased with the end result

Very pleased with the work carried out this morning by Alan O`Connor and his assistant this morning from Access4Lofts. The work was carried out on the scheduled day only a month after placing the order and in line with the quotation given. One or two extras were thrown in at no extra charge. A thoroughly professional job.

Access4Lofts recently lifted and removed some older existing flooring and supplied and fitted boarding on a floating floor. They also topped up insulation under the new raised floor. The work was completed quickly as agreed and was of a high standard. There was no mess and we were delighted with the very professional approach from start to finish. Communication was excellent and Mr O’Connor and his son arrived promptly (having advised us that they might be early). They were polite and respectful and we would highly recommend them.

I contacted Access4Lofts to explore the possibility of installing a loft ladder in our garage - the house being a dormer bungalow, the loft space above the garage was the only possibility, and we desperately needed the additional storage space. Alan arrived promptly, surveyed the space and explained in detail the different approaches he might take. He recommended a particular layout which would maximise the usable space in the loft - a wooden folding ladder attached to the hatch into the loft, which would need to be extended. He arrived promptly at the day and time agreed, and had completed the work in an hour and a half. The ladder system worked like a dream. We now have a clean, dry storage space to which we have safe access via a sturdy ladder with wide treads. - an important consideration as my wife and I are in our late seventies. To sum up: I would have no hesitation in recommending Alan O'Connor of Access4lofts. He was courteous and pleasant, as was his colleague, he explained everything clearly, and finished the work to a very high standard. Complete satisfaction, to the agreed timetable and budget, and thoroughly profession throughout.

Came when he said ,fitted me in so I was not left waiting for weeks . Very good workmanship ,a very good and neat job . I will now be able to use my loft properly ,since it was first built . It is also much safer to use now as the original ladder as installed by the house builder was not really fit for purpose , even my wife now feels safe on the wooden ladder , a much better job .

Alan was great from start to finish. He came out to provide a quote quickly and emailed the quote across promptly along with a video to demonstrate the product. Once booked in communication was great, I had a text reminder the day before which was great and a call the morning of the fitting to let me know he was 30 mins away. Our loft has been fitted with a loft ladder, part boarded and shelved. We are extremely pleased with the results. The work was of a high standard, done on the agreed date at the specified time. Alan and his colleague were friendly, polite, helpful, respectful, clean and tidy. They worked extremely hard and put covers down on the floor areas they needed to access our loft. Alan showed us how the ladder worked and told us about the guarantee. From the quote to the finished job the communication was good and we even received a text reminder the day before the fitting about our appointment. The price was as on our quotation. The job was that of fitting a loft ladder and flooring the entire centre section of the loft. This was done to the agreed schedule and budget. They took great care to cover the hall and stairs with dust sheets and vacuumed everywhere when they had finished. From the initial assessment of what needed to be done I felt confident that they would do a good job and am extremely pleased with the loft and ladders now it has been fitted. Alan was very helpful in scheduling the work so quickly following the provision of his estimate and as I say I am very pleased with the job he has done.

Entry to our roof loft was either impossible to open or impossible to close. Alan fitted a new hatch with much improved access gear. The loft in our garage was very dangerous to access and my wife had fallen from it and was lucky not to suffer serious injury. Alan brought a longer ladder with simple and safe accessories. We booked him for Tuesday but had to change to the Wednesday. This caused him no problems. Throughout he was courteous and informative, and completed both tasks in the space of a morning.

I wanted to replace my loft ladder to one that would be more accessible as I got older. Alan came out promptly to give suggestions and then sent me a quote - quite comprehensive, which is what I like so you know exactly what is included in the price. After accepting the quote I didn't have to wait long for him to come and do the work. Both he and the young man he brought were courteous and got on with the job. Alan came to complete some loft boards in my property. He had a young gentlemen with him called Kamil, they are absolutely wonderful. I required only loft insulation and contacted Access4lofts. I was pleased they were happy just to do the insulation. Alan and his colleague were very efficient, communicative and courteous. They have laid down a thick layer of insulation across a large loft area. I also feel their price was very reasonable.

Initial site visit was on time, explained everything that would be done, quoted had all details, and what stood out was a note that stated that what was quoted would be charged even if extra work had to be done that they did not check out initially. After acceptance they again arrived early and completed on time. They made sure that floor area inside house, stairs, etc was covered to avoid any damage or dirt. Excellent work done in loft- floor, some shelving and ladder. All explained at end how ladder operates etc and no mess left when finished. Payment was done and invoiced mailed later to us.

The purpose of the job was to facilitate loft access and loft storage. The scope of the work was: 1. Cut and remove a suitable section of the 1st floor ceiling, to create a receptacle for an access ladder. 2. Install the ladder and finish all trim around the receptacle. 3. Install floor boarding to a specified area of the loft floor. The contractor provided a quotation for all materials and labour in a fixed price and fixed work duration. The work was carried out in the stated time and for the stated cost. The quality of the work was excellent. On completion of the work, the worksite was completely cleaned and restored to its original status. The contractor's personnel were very pleasant and very amenable. Overall I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the work and the contractor.

The job was to complete the boarding of a loft - the first part had been boarded a couple of years ago. Alan did exactly what I asked for and even managed to overcome an issue around the heights of the flooring (the boarding was on stilts so as not to compress the insulation.), checking that the change of price was acceptable. The team were polite, and did the job efficiently, for a great price, and with practically no mess. Because I thought I knew what I wanted, the job was booked without Alan coming to the house. This was a mistake on my part. Not all loft boarding systems and materials are the same. Had I been made aware of this before I probably would have still chosen Access4lofts because it was a great price. I now have my loft fully boarded.

Following initial discussion Alan supplied a speedy quotation to fit a new, larger loft hatch with built in folding, wooden ladder and replace old loose boards with firm flooring. I am happy to recommend Alan and his assistant who were polite and careful. Their work was clean, completed as scheduled within the allotted timescale and I was able to replace items into the loft the same day. The ladder feels very secure and is easy to operate. The new flooring boards enable better use of space. Both allow quicker and safer access; items can be stored or removed much more easily than before.

We had an quote to have a loft ladder installed. The price was excellent. The job was arranged there and then. They came on time on the day stated. Job was done to perfection, very clean and tidy. They had to cut away some of the ceiling to put in a larger hatch, put in new ladders and a light in the loft. Very please with the job.

We knew our loft insulation was poor, but were concerned that the job was done professionally. Alan from Access4Lofts in Crewe was punctual and did a careful survey. We received the quotation very quickly and accepted it. We were given a date for the work to be done and we agreed on it. We had asked for the loft to be cleared of old clutter, which was done quickly. The loft floor was then covered in deep insulation, including the cold water tank, Access to the loft was via an old hatch and this too was insulated and draught proofed with a rubber seal. All rubbish was taken, leaving us with a light clean of stray dust. Job done to our satisfaction and we look forward to feeling the benefits this winter.

I have just used Access4Lofts for the installation of a deluxe wooden loft ladder and new, larger loft hatch. I am very pleased with my new ladder. It was all completed very quickly (in just under 2 hours total) and the quality of the workmanship and customer service was extremely good. The sturdy wooden ladder, spring loaded fold up system was impressive. The steps have a decent wide tread and the strong side handle was of a very good standard. It is very easy to open and shut and I can manage most boxes myself without having to ask for an extra person to help! I can now get in and out of my loft quickly and easily when I want to store any household items, giving me much needed storage facilities at very little cost.

The loft of my house was insulated and two plastic water tanks removed and left on the drive; the eaves were also insulated. The two workmen worked quickly though they didn’t bring enough so one went off to the nearest B&Q for more. Sadly the hinted-at sheep’s wool became polystyrene and foil, although recycled and labelled ‘eco-friendly’ I was disappointed. They worked to time and budget, they were helpful, moving my bed out of their way and putting it back for me. They cleaned up well but said that I would still be finding polystyrene till Christmas! The TV aerial was dislodged - so no reception until I managed to find the problem and sort it. Although it was reported I have had no reply or apology.

The quote was received quickly by e-mail. A prompt start was made on the agreed date for implementation. The work proceeded quickly with little disruption. Covering sheets were used and cleaning up took place during the work and at the end of the day. The work consisted of a new loft hatch and new loft ladder, partial boarding of the main loft and replacement of old insulation and topping up. The work was completed on time in under a day.
