Fantastic and very professional team. They arrived on time, explained what was happening, and then worked quickly and effectively to finish on-time. The finished product looks neat, and feels like a quality installation. Hopefully we’ll even save some money now that we have a deep blanket of insulation in place! We also appreciated the capability to deliver a few additional extras specific to our installation: moving lights and disposing of an old water tank in the loft. I was particularly glad they could do this all in-house, without us having to arrange for this to be done separately, as other suppliers had requested. In fact the whole process was great, starting out with arriving on time to give the quote in the first place! I’ve already recommended the company to a friend. If I had other lofts I needed access to, I’d be calling these guys.

We have recently had a loft hatch, loft ladder and partial boarding of our loft done by Access4Lofts. They have been very professional from the point of surveying the loft, to the installation. Very happy with the work and highly recommend.

Grant first travelled considerable distance to undertake a consultation and was able to advise on a number of issues with the loft, such as insulation, ventilation, ladder and hatch access and storage options. ( I had struggled to find a firm that could do that). Grant was personable, open and most importantly listened, and tailored his quotation to my specific requirements and budget. Grant's team completed the work as planned, with minimum fuss, on time. When I was invited to inspect the work I was wowed by the difference it had made, how robust the installation was and the quality of the work. I am over the moon with the finished product and we are already able to use the loft for much needed additional storage as access is now safe and easy. Honestly quite stunned. In a world in which we are constantly warned about being ripped off, etc. this was a huge relief. Installer quiet, efficient, left the area he'd worked in as if nothing had been done to make any mess! The result is in use and all works well, looks good. Excellent, no hesitation in writing this report.

I neede the loft hatch relocating, a ladder installed and partial floor boarded. Grant came round and talked through the options and sent me a couple of quotes. I chose a wooden ladder with handrail, it wasn't much more expensive than the aluminium ladder but was in more keeping with my old cottage. They came when they said they would,bdid a professional top quality job in 2 days, and took time to show me how the ladder worked. They put dust sheets down where they were working and through the house and hoovered up afterw ards. Fab job, great workmen, top company!

I have had several lofts reclaimed for storage but this was by far and away the best ever, and not the most expensive either. The insulated cladding is top notch, the boarding is excellent and the wooden ladder a huge bonus with it's extra handrails - making the access so much easier. The guys even went the extra mile and added better lighting and sockets, The job wasn't without it's snags but Grant rose to the occasion and dealt with things in his usual cheery manner. Added to this they left everything very clean and tidy. I can definitely recommend this team.

Grant delivered exactly what he promised he would. I am extremely pleased with the end result, a new deluxe wooden loft ladder and a new boarded loft floor (9 m x 2.14m). Grant noticed a small production fault with the spring on the loft ladder door so came back the following morning to fit a new replacement door. Outstanding service and a real focus on providing a high quality product.

Grant was extremely professional and very helpful throughout, and inspired confidence from the outset. He initially assessed our loft space and came up with some great suggestions for how it could be best developed, that we hadn’t previously considered. The work itself was finished quickly, with minimal disruption and to an extremely high standard. We are delighted with our new loft space- it has allowed us to de-clutter our house! Thank you Grant!

Grant was recommended by a relative of ours who had him board their loft. We wanted loft insulation but not foam, we contacted Grant left a message and got a prompt response he came and supplied a quote to us and arranged a convenient installation date but will no pressure or hard sell. Our loft is open to next door so at the last minute our neighbour agreed to do his so we contacted Grant and he agreed to do both on same appointment. He was running late but rang to advise of delay and revised arrival time just 25 minutes later, this was due to having to get additional materials. He used next doors loft access for ease but apparently left no mess and was very professional. A genuine tradesman who deserves recommendation.

Summary: Grant is one of what seems to be a diminishing number of tradespeople who do what they say they're going to do when they say they were going to do it, they do it well and leave everything neat and tidy. We'd have no hesitation in recommending him. The longer version: Having been messed about by a local firm I stumbled across the Access4Lofts web site and was pleased to see there was a nearby representative. The job wasn't easy. It's a large'ish low loft consisting of multiple bays, in an 1830s cottage where nothing is straight, and the existing joists were too small to support flooring. We wanted it boarded with the boards as low as possible, the existing insulation topped up, and the rafters insulated to keep the heat out in Summer to protect the network kit that's up there. When Grant came round to view the job nothing seemed to be a problem (which was very different to our previous experience). We received a quote (not an estimate) that evening which we accepted and he started three weeks later. We arranged for the job to be completed over a couple of weeks as there was quite a bit of 'stuff' up there in multiple bays that we needed to move around as the job progressed. Grant arrived with a colleague and when they'd finished in the evenings there were no sign they'd been in the house apart from progress in the loft. We didn't need to move any of our 'stuff' in the end as it was moved for us. We're very pleased with the results.

After months trying to find someone to fit more loft insulation, I came across an advert for Access4Lofts in a local free paper. So happy with service I received. Easy to contact, an appointment made for Grant to visit to carry out a survey within a few days and work completed all within a month. Grant is very professional and experienced. He fitted all the insulation in half day and even hoovered up when he had finished. The insulation is also very good quality. Would certainly recommend.

Brilliant service from start to finish! We have recently re-located our boiler into the loft and felt we needed to improve the access and make the space more functional. Grant was able to arrange a visit to quote around my work schedule. He was very knowledge about options available to make the most out of our loft space. We settled on having a new loft hatch with wooden access ladder, extra insulation, boarding and shelving for extra storage. The works were scheduled promptly and he attended at we had arranged. Grant even went the extra mile of considering how would be easiest for me to access the loft-space from the top of the ladder. Our loft was a space that I never ventured into but now I feel confident to utilise this space for extra storage and accessing our boiler if needs be. Grant was very professional throughout the process and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to family / friends.

Being older we were finding access to our loft increasingly difficult. We contacted Access4Lofts to discuss the idea of an electric loft ladder. Having contacted our local Access4Lofts trader in St. Austell, Grant Coles, in September - by October it was installed. We were not pressured or hurried with any questions we had. The quote given was the one we paid. On the day of installation, and arriving right on time, the work was carried out very efficiently and as quietly as it was possible. The new frame around the access was kindly painted to match, a detail we hadn't expected. Our hall carpet was covered and left cleaner, I think, than it was before ! We are absolutely delighted with the ease of the new electric loft ladder. Attention to detail, a pleasant and helpful manner is what makes a trader remembered, recommended and outstanding. This is exactly what we found with this trader.

I have never had a contractor who worked as hard as Grant, he was like a beaver. Our house is 250 years old and the loft is cramped, very hot and dusty and has a huge TV aerial in the middle of it but Grant worked around all the problems. How he completed the work to such a high standard and on time I’ll never know. He has left us with a safe useable storage area that we can access easily and with a repositioned loft ladder that works much easier than before he arrived.
