Absolutely Brilliant - really pleased!
First of all Josh is the most respectful and polite tradesman, that is a dream to have in your home. Our job was not easy as our front door broke meaning he had to bring everything round the side, he cracked on and didn’t complain but also worked immaculately all the way through then at the end of day hoovered through his path. Dust sheets were laid everywhere even though we told him it didn’t matter as we were ripping up carpets etc in the next couple of days! Then, let’s get onto the job itself - absolutely brilliant, seamless joints, solid, sturdy and works perfectly, the light installed is fab quality, lovely and bright and also very economical! 110% satisfied and would recommend him to anyone without a shadow of a doubt!

Contracted to fit loft hatch, loft ladder & clearance. After fitting, franchisee presented an invoice higher than that agreed. Honoured original price when challenged. Unable to pay as card reader not charged so he had to return for payment. Unfortunately he again failed to charge the reader so had to return a third time before we could pay. Ladder not securely or safely fitted, hatch catch kept failing & joist cut into but not reinforced. Blamed the nominal thickness of the board he had used for the hatch for the catch issues. Ignoring our concerns, his solution was to pack under the catch with offcuts. The ‘repair’ failed. He returned to replace the hatch with heavier board. It appears regulations require he should have used the thicker (more expensive?) board in the first place. The catch continued to fail, necessitating balancing on a ladder at the head of the stairs to repair it ourselves. His efforts to reinforce the beam were also inadequate He became increasingly aggressive, tetchy & rude with each contact as we tried to have matters resolved, until we had to consider whether it was safe to continue dealings. Having raised issues with Which?, the franchisor got in touch to apologise for the issues with the franchisee & discuss resolution. Shortcomings in the workmanship were rectified by the Operations Director meaning that finally, we have useable and crucially, safe, loft access. Would not, and have not, recommended Access4Lofts Watford.

Josh attended our address a couple of times to check out work required. On 10th September, he attended and partially boarded loft area and installed a light. Work was carried out quickly and efficiently after which Josh tidied up and removed excess materials. He was polite and knowledgeable regarding the project. Would recommend to anyone considering having similar work carried out.

Joshua and his colleague upgraded the loft isulation,boarded over where rquired and insulated the outer shell of my son's bedroom in the loft.He carried out essential work and understood the loft space had to ventilate.I obtained 3 quotes and his was the most competative but we chose him because he inspired confidence and certainly lived up to expectations.I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Fantastic job, Joshua of Watford Access for Lofts went above and beyond, on installing he found electrical wires which could have caused and fire and fixed these. The job was done quickly and with no mess at all. Have a great loft space and new ladder. Would definitely recommend them to anyone price was really good as well.

From the day Josh arrived to estimate the job to the minute he finished installing our new loft ladder he was a pleasure to deal with. He was quick, quiet and courteous and he left our house tidier than he found it. Josh was able to provide a quote quickly and also do the work before Christmas. He was very punctual on both visits. I'm very pleased with the loft ladder: it's sturdy, easy to use and fits well in a difficult space, due to the loft beams. The extra loft boarding for a modest cost is also extremely helpful, both with accessing the loft and having items ready near to the hatch to take up and down. The overall cost was very competitive, compared to another local installer. Some bits and sawdust left in loft, which I cleaned up myself with a hand-held vacuum cleaner.

Josh enlarged the hatch opening to my loft; partially boarded the loft space; and replaced and moved the light. The work was finished to a high standard; boarding that was put down some years ago in another part of the loft actually looks quite naff in comparison. I found him quite personable, polite and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
