Simon Winfield (Access4lofts) Supplied and fitted a new loft hatch, loft ladder and LED loft light. Also fitted boarding on a loft prop for storage. Simon repaired existing loft insulation and fitted top - up insulation. He provided an excellent service with minimal intrusion. Simon is a friendly competent professional. Absolutely brilliant work. We much needed the space, and this was provided to great satisfaction. The work was excellent. A large area of flooring had to be removed before the insulation was laid. All the work was carried efficiently.

We had the loft insulated to current standards, and had it boarded out with a loft ladder access fitted. The work was conducted very professionally and entirely to the quotation and agreed timelines. We are very happy with the service and would highly recommend.

Professional service from getting the quote to completion of the job. Super friendly guy and I’m so happy with the completed work. Don’t even know you have him in the house he’s that good, not noisy not messy and considerate of property at all times. I’ve had other tradesmen in my house and have told them from the start “l have house cats so please be careful with opening and closing doors at all times” only to keep reminding them over and over. Only had to let Simon know once and He never once left a door open or ajar. He’s thorough and informative and good at what he does can’t recommend him enough.

Left site very clean and tidy plus explained how the ladders operated and made sure I understood before he left site. Very pleased with the work carried and would recommend to friends and family. Simon topped up the loft insulation, fitted loft boarding and customised a new loft flap in order to install a pull-down loft ladder. He demonstrated considerable competence in all the jobs, even the surveyor who performed our EPC volunteered that he was impressed at the standard of the work. We did seek other quotes. One installer was unable to design a bespoke loft flap with a pull-down ladder due to the restricted space at the top of the ladder and also integrate it with our double loft flaps. The quote was reasonable and there were no hidden extras. The start and end dates were honoured. The impact on the temperature throughout the house was phenomenal. The wife and I could not be more pleased.

Simon was very efficient and prepared for the job that was agreed at the time of quote. He was tidy and respectful of my home and the fact that I was working from home. Time keeping and communication was excellent and whilst demonstrating how to use the ladder he realised I needed an adjustment. Last December our loft ladder broke. I searched online for someone local to replace it, and came across Simon who runs the local franchise of Access for lofts. I also looked online at the types of loft ladder he had available. He visited and I liked his suggestion of a telescopic loft ladder. It cost more but had good sized rungs to climb on. He came and installed it quickly and efficiently, and showed us how to pull it down and push it up again. I needed to practise a few times but now I find it straightforward. On the phone and in person he was pleasant and polite. Someone else in the family needs a loft ladder and adaption of the loft for storage, and I have recommended Simon.
