Acorn have recently completed another project for us, this time a garage conversation. I’m absolutely delighted with the results. The team gave the usual high levels of customer care and the standard of workmanship is second to none.

Following a competitive quote from James, we were visited by David who surveyed our requirements and then by Jason and Craig who installed new front and back doors. Despite a small hiccup when our order was lost and then we had to chase the surveyor, all other interactions with Acorn have been good. This is the only reason I’ve given them 4/5 for ‘customer service’. If I was rating the actual surveyor who did the work and the fitters themselves, they would have received 5/5. The work carried out by two fitters, in particular, was first class. They were courteous, tidy and friendly. They turned up on time and just got on with the work required without any fuss. We’ve used Acorn now to have a conservatory built, new windows and now new doors. We would definitely recommend them as a reliable, competitive and trustworthy company.

Our first impression of Acorn Windows as a company was a positive one involving their Director James Hibberts visiting and quoting for the work required. There was no heavy selling but simply a clear outline of the options and leaving us to give thought to what had been discussed. We could possibly have got a lower price elsewhere but following a visit to their showroom we appointed Acorn as we felt the price was fair. We had new windows and both front and rear doors and are delighted with the quality of the product. The operatives Jason and Craig were punctual each day, courteous throughout and worked very hard and were very tidy.It was a pleasure to have them working in our home and they were excellent representatives of Acorn. We would have no hesitation in recommending Acorn .

The work carried out included 10 replacement UPVC window frames/glazing and 1 replacement UPVC door/glazing. We are very pleased with the work which has been carried out. The windows and door have smartened up the appearance of our house markedly, there has been a noticeable reduction in noise intrusion from outside (don’t know about any temperature benefits yet!), and we were happy with the workmanship of the fitting team (Matthew and Lewis), who were courteous and helpful throughout, including resolution of some very minor snagging issues. After having three quotes from Double Glazing firms for fitting five sash windows we chose Acorn. Being able to visit their Nottingham showroom was very helpful. We also had a personal recommendation from neighbours. Acorn were not the cheapest quote but the service and quality of the product was outstanding. Father and son, Dave and Brad fitted our windows and we can't praise them highly enough. They clearly came with many years of experience. Work was finished to a very high standard and they cleared up very carefully after the days work and consulted closely with us. We will be having Acorn back to complete the double glazing of the house next year and have asked that Dave and Brad return to undertake that work.

We recently had 2 upstairs windows installed by Acorn Windows, Matt and Lewis were the installers and they did a fantastic job! I cannot recommend Acorn enough, from enquiry through to install they were professional throughout and the quality of the windows is very high. I am just about to send another enquiry to them for another window to the extension we are having.

We have just had 3 upstairs rooms fitted with uPVC sliding sash windows and a composite door fitted by Acorn. Thank you Matthew and Lewis, you have done a great job and left the house as clean and tidy as when you arrived. Thanks to the office team too, you have kept us fully informed from first contact. This is the third time we have used Acorn and have been absolutely delighted on each occasion.

We chose Acorn Windows to build our Orangery after seeing the high quality replacement windows they had fitted in a neighbouring property. Due to the pandemic, we decided against project managing the build ourselves, opting instead for a turnkey finish. Planning permission was necessary as we live in a conservation area, so having Acorn recommend an Architect and arrange for a Building Inspector was very helpful. The work of the build team (Tony, Andy and Mick) was fantastic, they always arrived on site when they said they would and we were kept informed at every stage. They all showed great attention to detail and the site was kept immaculately clean throughout the build. All the subcontractors (skip provider, building suppliers, roofers, electrician, plumber and plasterers) were well coordinated which made the work progress very smoothly. The Orangery was completed at the price originally quoted with no hidden extras. Our sincere thanks goes to James and all the Acorn Windows team as the final result has exceeded all our expectations. Although the Orangery is a new extension to a period property, it blends in beautifully due to the complementary rendered finish. We would highly recommend Acorn Windows (Nottingham) and would definitely to use their services again.

Acorn windows have worked with us over the last two years to supply and fit replacements for old wooden windows at St Pauls Church in West Bridgford. They quickly provided us with a very competitive detailed quotation for seven windows and allowed us to phase the work across our financial accounting years to make the work possible. They also provided help and advice whilst we sought approval for the work. We are delighted with the work which has greatly improved the appearance of the building, improved heat retention and saved us from maintenance associated with the original wooden frames. The fitting teams were helpful and polite and worked cleanly and efficiently. After sales service has been excellent and Acorn have responded rapidly and effectively to remedy issues we have raised. Overall we are very satisfied and will use them again in the future.

The fitters arrived on time on the agreed date. We were very impressed by the quality of the workmanship and the materials used. Dave and Brett were meticulous and paid attention to every little detail and cleaned up at every stage of the job. Once again first class work. Was having problem with bedroom window as in I couldn’t close it. Must make fact known it is over twenty years old. Gentleman who came ,despite having to be up a ladder in the rain fixed it and said no charge because he hadn’t used any mater. All I can say is a very big thankyou to Acorn Windows who having giving a great service for over twenty years.

We are absolutely delighted with the quality of the doors, windows and patio doors installed by Acorn. We are amazed by the quality of the materials used right down to the hinges on the doors. Even now we are still commenting on how good the windows and doors look and feel. We couldn't be happier with the whole process. When James came to assess the work required, he was honest in telling us that sometimes things go wrong but they pride themselves in sorting any problems out fast. I like this because he was honest and true to his word. A couple of things did require sorting out, but these were sorted to our complete satisfaction. We will be recommending Acorn to our friends and family and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding quality and excellent value for money.

We asked Acorn for a quote back in January which was received in a timely manner. Due to Covid-19 the work had to be stalled but on the 5th June the work started. From the scaffolders (separate company) to the guys who came to the house, they were courteous and very clean and tidy. Will definitely use Acorn again.

You would think it should be simple, you want some new windows and you seek referrals and quotes. Some don’t turn up at all, others start with a stupid price and finish with a silly price. However, I contacted Acorn Windows (a friend referred me to them) and they sent a salesperson who turned up, at the right time, on the right day who measured the windows, gave me some options, offered some advice and gave me a price. Oh my god! No messing about, haggling, special Easter Bunny, or other daft discounts, just a price, a good one at that! So, what next? A surveyor turned up (I bet the price changes) he measured everything, said a steel would be required (definitely a price change) and they would be able to fit them in a few weeks once they are made - (No price change - same as originally quoted!) CV-19 lockdown, phone call, very sorry but a delay, OK I thought, thanks for letting me know. CV-19 relaxed a little, phone call, can we fit next week? Yes you can! Fitters call me the day before, still ok? Yes, they turn up on time, as expected and fit the windows. Unforeseen loose bricks above one of the windows, not a problem, the bricklayer will sort them out. Bricklayer makes a great job, windows in, bricks sorted, happy customer. Phone call to check everything is ok, yes it is, original quoted price paid. Great service, quality windows, good communications and a fair price. Fantastic! If Acorn read this - thank you.

I have patio doors that run the full width of my house and their replacement represented a significant investment for me. I was nervous about selecting a supplier bu couldn't have chosen anyone better. I was very impressed with the whole team at Acorn Windows; they managed the whole process very smoothly despite my installation being scheduled during the Covid19 lockdown. Everyone I dealt with answered all my questions fully and promptly, and those coming to the house always arrived when they said they would. While I was impressed with all the staff, the team who did the main installation definitely deserve a special mention. They were polite and accommodating, extremely professional and meticulous in their work, and left my room much better finished than when they started. I am delighted with my new doors and with the service provided by Acorn Windows and will not hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

We’ve been using Acorn Windows for around 25 years, having two sets of windows, doors, a conservatory and a side extension. Our latest job was having the polycarbonate roofs replaced on the conservatory and extension with Pilkington self-cleaning glass. We never get quotes from other companies as we’ve always been so happy with Acorn. We know we’re going to get personal service, friendly fitters, good quality products and a high standard of work.

I have had a lantern in a flat-roof ceiling and bifold doors in the sun room. The planning was methodical, efficient and creative. The fitting has been amazing. Mick and Wayne worked as a seamless team, leaving everything neat and tidy every day. They were cheerful, self-contained and helpful. I recommend them, 100% and am already planning to have the front door replaced.

I required a window to fit in a kitchen remodeling. Despite the small order, every detail of the order was perfect, delivery was on time and communications were timely and helpful. Acorn Windows installed the first phase of new double glazing at the Friary Drop-in Centre, West Bridgford. Glaziers worked with minimum disruption during our busiest period to ensure staff at the Friary could offer a warm welcome to homeless and vulnerable adults in the run up to Christmas. Making the centre as draught-proof as possible is essential. A brilliant job well done. Thank you.

Having used Acorn Windows for a replacement conservatory some years ago which was a quality installation I gave then the challenge of replacing the decorative woodwork at the front of the house and extending down part of the side, the existing woodwork needed constant maintenance and was difficult / dangerous to access. The MD, James Hibbert suggested that I replace the wood with fully veneered plastic wood (Rosewood colour) and provided a quotation within a few days to replace the wood with similar sized plastic wood, this has now been completed to a very high standard and the house is now totally maintenance free.

I have used Acorn Windows for substantial works on two houses to date. Work includes 2 sets of patio doors, double French doors, a large conservatory, orangery and skylight, 2 bay windows and black front entrance doors. The work is finished to a high quality which is one reason for my returning business. What impresses me more is the aftercare that this family business delivers. There is never a quibble when an issue arises. A ten year guarantee means ten years where Acorn are concerned. Something not experienced with other companies. They are friendly too at every level. I can't recommend this company enough.

We needed new entrance doors at our Scout Hall and obtained 3 quotations. I was delighted to see Acorn gave us the best quotation because when they had rebuilt my conservatory at home 12 years earlier they did a great job at an excellent price. There sales pitch was not “hard sell”, genuinely knowledgeable and friendly. The double, outward opening doors were fitted on a day that suited out usage of the Hall. The fitters were polite and careful and cleaned up thoroughly. It was a delight to be able to recognise people who had worked on my conservatory 12 years ago...and they were still working for Acorn. James visited and gave honest advise on what door and glass we required and left a quality brochure for me and my wife to consider the design. Ordered a new composite door with side panels - grey outside and white inside. Confirmation came with the installation date and on the day (as promised) the guys came and did a great job + helped me fix/adjust another door. All clean and tidy and the door is excellent. All in all very help happy with all aspects and would thoroughly recommend Acorn Windows.
