We discovered a sinking floor near some suspicious paintwork in our hallway, and called Advanced Preservations out to take a look. They identified the problem in some damp, failing beams and carried out a very professional programme to remedy the situation, clearing out the unusable beams and damp underfloor mess, adding new beams and supports to replace the removed wood, and even improving the doorway airflow and exterior drainage to prevent the problem from returning. The price was not cheap but was entirely fair given the solid week of work put into fixing the hallway, and they were careful to minimise dust and mess. The team did an excellent tidy-up job at the end, and our hallway is now in a much safer condition and should remain so for years to come.

So glad we found this company and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our Dental Surgery in a listed building was suffering a damp issue caused by sandstone steps and it was affect our equipment. We didn't know who to turn to. After making a few enquiries this company stood head and shoulders above the others. From the initial survey with Nick we were impressed by the attention to detail when explaining our options. We took a leap of faith and very glad we did. From start to finish Stefan and his colleagues were extremely respectful of the nature of our business especially as the practice remained open during the work. They ensured every inch of the adjoining surgery and surrounding areas were protected and kept clean and tidy, they liaised with our engineers when required in a professional manner as equipment had to be relocated. The kept noise to a minimum and there was very little disruption to our business. They explained everything they were doing along the way which was very reassuring. We are delighted with the results and are sure we will remain water tight for many years to come. Having previously used APL to fix our basement by installing a sump pump and membrane solution a few years ago, one of our internal walls in the basement developed a rising damp issue and was not part of the original solution. ADL as usual provided a very professional service, explaining options and the work that would need to be undertaken. This was completed whilst we were on holiday with no disruption to neighbours etc. Whilst not an inexpensive job, ADL recognised that some parts of the quote were not needed and adjusted the final invoice to reflect this. The overall process from start to finish was smooth with good communication from the works team.

First class service, from initial damp inspection to works being carried out. The problems where well explained remedied, the works carried out are to a high standard - and the finish of the plastering was exceptional!

The ATS team came in to fix a long standing damp issue which was causing paint damage and mould in my hallway. From the survey to reinstating my skirting boards I was very pleased with the knowledge, communication and skills of all the team members. When issues were found, options were discussed and I was able to feel confident in the decisions I took. It wasn’t an inexpensive job but I strongly feel confident that it was worth paying the ‘extra’ to fix in properly, once!

They proposed and completed a basement damp proofing remediation scheme at an acceptable price and timescale and dealt quickly with an initial fault. I am very happy to recommend them as experienced, efficient and competent specialists.

We had Advanced Preservations sort out a damp problem in two rooms in our house. We had been recommended this firm by friends and were not disappointed. The firm was very detailed in their quote for the job and the work was carried out efficiently. The workmen were professional, polite and tidy. They ensured that all furniture and floors were covered and cleaned up after work was carried out. They were on time each day. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Advanced Preservations have recently carried out some external waterproofing and drainage works to remedy water ingress into our basement. We have been very happy with the service we have received. Dave, who carried out the survey and oversaw the work, has considerable expertise and was also pragmatic in his recommendations for dealing with the problem. The work was carried out in a very professional and courteous manner by all the technicians on site, particularly by Jimmy, and to a schedule which was adapted around our own commitments. The site was left clean and tidy when the works were completed. We will definitely use AP again if the need arises.

Advanced preservations fixed several areas of damp in our basement flat. They were easy to deal with, did a really good job, kept the place clean and followed up with any queries quickly.

I recently had full waterproofing of my basement and I was very happy with the service provided. Initially Dave conducted a thorough survey and provided a waterproofing design recommendation and detailed quotation for a cavity drain membrane system. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable and the quote was very competitive compared to other quotes I received. I ordered the work and this was all completed this summer. Everything was done on time, on the dates promised, with the price exactly as quoted with no extra surprises. I found all of the operatives on site to be very professional and they took great care installing everything while looking after my property. My previously wet and damp basement is now perfectly dry and I have been very happy with the performance of the waterproofing system so far. I definitely recommend this company and would happily use them again in the future if needed.

Had my sump pump servicing again by AP. Easy to organise, gave me a date that was shortly after I’d emailed to ask for the service. Technician was knowledgeable, polite and talked me through the key points of what he was doing. Very reasonable pricing and very happy with the work. Will use again for the next service!

We have used Advanced Preservation twice. Once for a basement, waterproof tanking, and also put a water pump in. The other time was for outside, drain away, taking slabs up and relaying. From start to finish on both jobs Advanced Preservation have been excellent, tidy, always reliable and kept us informed at different stages of the jobs and kept to schedule. I cannot recommend them enough and I will always use them in the future.

I wanted to say how pleased I am with the damp remedial carried out recently at my home. Paul did a great job with installing the damp course and plastering work and he was a pleasure to have in my home. Likewise Ollie did a brilliant job replacing the skirting board lovely young man. I was very comfortable having both of them working in my home both good representatives of Advanced Preservations.

I have always returned to Advanced Preservations, after the need to find an experienced, reliable local Company, when I had major problems with groundwater flooding, several decades ago. A pump system was installed, after careful listening and appreciation of my concerns, due to my small Grade 2 Listed cottage, which has no Damp Proof Course. They quickly came to solutions for the unusual site. All the staff who carried out the more complicated work than usual, were cheerful, very hard-working and a pleasure to have in the house. The pump system saved me from flooding a week ago, after the latest 'named' storm, which flooded many in my village. Over the years I have called on them for dry-walling work, after some damp was revealed; and recently (2023) to resolve ongoing problems with condensation. I recommend the Company at every relevant opportunity. for the excellent, careful work, on site and in their efficient Admin. Office, where inter-personal skills are immediately appreciated.

I was recommended the company and first impressions were good. I had a survey carried out to determine the cause of the damp and felt happy with this being a thorough exploration. I subsequently received a report with recommendations. Unfortunately since then the communication has been very poor. I have being trying to finalise the recommendations, I have sent emails, made calls requesting a call back and emailed the main office, all with no response. I am left with holes in my bedroom floor from the investigation works and have lost faith in works being resolved.

I contacted AP to address a water ingress issue through a concrete garage roof and terrace. Nick was great to work with and designed an excellent solution. The work team (Jimmy, Van and many others) who implemented it were professional, cared about their work, communicated well and were a friendly bunch of guys. They also relaid the tiles on the roof and implemented a more appropriate drainage system. We now have a sealed garage and a great looking terrace. No more mould and tools going rusty in the garage. We've just had some damp proofing works completed by advanced preservations. The initial survey and quote was very detailed and was clear about how much the price would be. Paul came and did the work to a very high standard over 2 days, always kept us informed on progress and left the place spotless once finished. We would recommend advanced preservations to anyone looking to have damp proofing works carried out.

We used Advanced Preservation to rip out a failed waterproofing system in our cellar and reinstate a new system, making the room for to use as a gym and a utility room. From start to finish there was great communication with the company and all of the guys we had in the house were a pleasure to deal with and always left the house tidy at the end of the day. We are really pleased with the work and relieved that we now have a watertight cellar.

We struggled to find any company with the expertise to waterproof our cellar until coming across Advanced Preservations via Google. They provided an initial survey of the basement free of charge which included a plan to knock down dividing walls, build a drainage system and install a John Newton Type C cavity drain membrane system to provide Grade 3 level of waterproofing protection to the retaining walls and floors in accordance with BS8102. The only cost prior to confirmation of order was a physical dig of four holes though the floor to check the depth of the foundations and floor (£230). The work commenced within 4 months of commissioning and completed 6 weeks later to our complete satisfaction. Staff were friendly, accommodating and very thorough. When problems were uncovered as they invariable do, their specialist advice was invaluable. Our basement has been transformed from a cold, damp storage area into a well insulated and warm games room for all the family to enjoy and added great value to the house. We couldn't be happier with the result.

Advanced Preservations gave an excellent and skilled service at every stage of my dealing with them. The problem was with serious damp in the front wall of a house built in 1907. From the initial survey to completion, the company showed knowledge and expertise. The price was reasonable and the work was done to budget and speedily. All the tradesmen were pleasant and courteous. All took the greatest care to keep the hallway and room where work was being done as clean as possible, and left it spotless at the end. The office staff were helpful throughout. Each tradesman did an excellent job. Special thanks to Gary who did the preparation, Darren the plasterer, a real professional, and to Neil the carpenter who produced an excellent finish. Would highly recommend the team at Advanced Preservations. From the initial enquiry, survey report and works carried out they have been very professional and efficient. All the staff I dealt with, from Mark the surveyor and Chris in operations to Matt, Wippet and Neil who undertook the work in our house, were efficient and courteous. They all did what they said they would do on the date and in the timeframe they said it would be done; in particular, they left the place clean and tidy when they had finished the work. The final cost was as the original estimate in spite the unforeseens because of this being an older house. I am not normally one to write reviews but my experience with AP has been excellent. The proof of the efficacy of the work will come in the winter! AP were recommended to me and that recommendation has been fully justified; as I did not seek any alternative quotations, I cannot make any comment about price but in every other sense, icluding peace of mind, the service provided by AP represenets excellent value.
